    Estudio de las mineralizaciones de Plomo-Zinc-Cobre del Permotrías del Complejo Maláguide en los alrededores de Vélez-Rubio (Almería)

    Tras un breve encuadre geológico regional del área estudiada, se comentan someramente las características del Complejo Maláguide en las inmediaciones de Vélez Rubio. Posteriormente se describen los aspectos litoestratigráficos y sedimentológicos de los materiales permotriásicos del Complejo Maláguide, con los cuales se ligan las mineralizaciones de Pb-Zn-Cu objeto de esta nota. Se distinguen cinco tramos litológicos fundamentales, que han sido correlacionados entre las diversas zonas con indicios de Pb-Zn. Los estudios sedimentológicos parecen indicar que la sucesión de estos tramos constituyen una secuencia positiva que abarca desde depósitos típicamente fluviales a sedimentos formados en medio lacustre o de aguas marinas someras. La mineralización, sobre todo de Pb, es objeto de un detallado estudio mineralógico y textural, en el cual se apoya la interpretación genética, que aboga por un origen sedimentario de la misma

    Amplitude and phase representation of quantum invariants for the time dependent harmonic oscillator

    The correspondence between classical and quantum invariants is established. The Ermakov Lewis quantum invariant of the time dependent harmonic oscillator is translated from the coordinate and momentum operators into amplitude and phase operators. In doing so, Turski's phase operator as well as Susskind-Glogower operators are generalized to the time dependent harmonic oscillator case. A quantum derivation of the Manley-Rowe relations is shown as an example

    Coherent pion production in neutrino nucleus collision in the 1 GeV region

    We calculate cross sections for coherent pion production in nuclei induced by neutrinos and antineutrinos of the electron and muon type. The analogies and differences between this process and the related ones of coherent pion production induced by photons, or the (p,n) and (3He,t)(^3 He, t) reactions are discussed. The process is one of the several ones occurring for intermediate energy neutrinos, to be considered when detecting atmospheric neutrinos. For this purpose the results shown here can be easily extrapolated to other energies and other nuclei.Comment: 13 pages, LaTex, 8 post-script figures available at [email protected]

    Influence of calcium aluminate cement (CAC) on alkaline activation of red clay brick waste (RCBW)

    In this paper, the effect of calcium aluminate cement (CAC) additions on the alkali activation of red clay brick waste (RCBW) was studied at room temperature and at 65 C. RCBW was partially replaced with CAC (0e50 wt.%) and blends were activated with NaOH and sodium silicate solutions. The compressive strength evolution was tested on mortars and the nature of the reaction products was analysed by infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, microscopic studies and pH measurements. The results show that the use of CAC accelerates the activation process of RCBW so that 50 MPa were obtained in the blended mortars containing 40 wt.% CAC cured for 3 days at room temperature.     Sobre el número de módulos fotovoltaicos en serie para aplicaciones de riego

    En sistemas de riego fotovoltaico la tensión mínima en el bus de continua del variador de frecuencia (VF) es impuesta por la tensión necesaria a la entrada de la moto-bomba. Así, siempre que esta tensión es más grande que la tensión del punto de máxima potencia del generador fotovoltaico parte de la energía que este podría entregar no se utiliza. El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar estas pérdidas para 20, 21 y 22 módulos en serie (para módulos de 60 células en serie). Se puede concluir que si no hay caídas de tensión entre el VF y la moto-bomba las pérdidas son depreciables. Sin embargo, el aumento de estas pérdidas lleva a un incremento del porcentaje de pérdidas en energía fotovoltaica. Además, se verifica un aumento de las pérdidas con el incremento de la temperatura de célula

    Projectile Δ\Delta and target-Roper excitation in the p (d, d')X reaction

    In this paper we compare a model that contains the mechanisms of Δ\Delta excitation in the projectile and Roper excitation in the target with experimental data from two (d, d') experiments on a proton target. The agreement of the theory with the experiment is fair for the data taken at T_d = 2.3 GeV. The Δ\Delta excitation in the projectile is predicted close to the observed energy with the correct width. The theory, however, underpredicts by about 40% the cross sections measured at T_d = 1.6 GeV at angles where the cross section has fallen by about two orders of magnitude. The analysis done here allows to extract an approximate strength for the excitation of the Roper [N^*(1440)] excitation and a qualitative agreement with the theoretical predictions is also found.Comment: 8 ps figure

    12-year evolution of multimorbidity patterns among older adults based on Hidden Markov Models

    Background: The evolution of multimorbidity patterns during aging is still an under-researched area. We lack evidence concerning the time spent by older adults within one same multimorbidity pattern, and their transitional probability across different patterns when further chronic diseases arise. The aim of this study is to fill this gap by exploring multimorbidity patterns across decades of age in older adults, and longitudinal dynamics among these patterns. Methods: Longitudinal study based on the Swedish National study on Aging and Care in Kungsholmen (SNAC-K) on adults ≥60 years (N=3,363). Hidden Markov Models were applied to model the temporal evolution of both multimorbidity patterns and individuals' transitions over a 12-year follow-up. Findings: Within the study population (mean age 76.1 years, 66.6% female), 87.2% had ≥2 chronic conditions at baseline. Four longitudinal multimorbidity patterns were identified for each decade. Individuals in all decades showed the shortest permanence time in an Unspecific pattern lacking any overrepresented diseases (range: 4.6-10.9 years), but the pattern with the longest permanence time varied by age. Sexagenarians remained longest in the Psychiatric-endocrine and sensorial pattern (15.4 years); septuagenarians in the Neuro-vascular and skin-sensorial pattern (11.0 years); and octogenarians and beyond in the Neuro-sensorial pattern (8.9 years). Transition probabilities varied across decades, sexagenarians showing the highest levels of stability. Interpretation: Our findings highlight the dynamism and heterogeneity underlying multimorbidity by quantifying the varying permanence times and transition probabilities across patterns in different decades. With increasing age, older adults experience decreasing stability and progressively shorter permanence time within one same multimorbidity pattern
