The influence of social value and selfcongruity on interpersonal connections in virtual social networks by Gen-Y tourists

This research focuses on the relationship of self-congruity and perceived social value with the interpersonal connections established by Generation Y tourists in virtual social networks. A quantitative study was performed using a sample of young travelers from Spain. The methodologies of Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Models (SEM) were used to analyze the results. The findings of the research show that self-congruity influences the perceived social value; the perceived social value leads to satisfaction and the creation of interpersonal connections in virtual social networks; and the interpersonal connections in virtual social networks influence the use of these tools by Generation Y travelers

Resolució numèrica de les equacions de Navier-Stokes

Aprofundir en la simulació de les equacions fonamentals de la dinàmica de fluids i transferència de calor i massa, així com la seva aplicació en algun cas d’interès per l’estudiant en el camp de l’enginyeria industrial i/o aeronàutica.   Primerament es proposen a l’estudiant uns casos bàsics d’integració de les equacions bàsiques de conservació de la massa, momentum i energia que li serviran per consolidar els seus coneixements en aquesta important temàtica (formulació matemàtica, tècniques computacionals, tècniques de programació, etc.). D’aquesta forma, l’estudiant crearà els seus propis codis de simulació. Tindrà suport tant per estructurar els programes com per la seva verificació. Es recomana el llenguatge de programació C o C++.   En base al treball de simulació desenvolupat, una segona part del TFG estarà dirigida a aplicacions específiques en el camp de l’optimització de sistemes i equips termo-fluídics i aeronàutics per tal d’aconseguir la seva optimització, i.e. màxima eficiència energètica amb el mínim cost i impacte ambiental. Aquí l’estudiant podrà proposar, d’acord amb els professors, aquelles situacions que consideri més adients als seus interessos. Las características que observa Machado y Álvarez en los cantes flamencos sintonizan con los rasgos generales de la poesía y del arte en el romanticismo. Analizaremos la mirada romántica en el prólogo de la Colección de Cantes Flamencos, sobre todo, en relación con el pensamiento krausista y la categoría estética de lo sublime, y cómo esta mirada va a definir la idea de lo flamenco en las generaciones posteriores.Abstract The features that Machado y Álvarez observes in flamenco songs have a lot to do with the general features of poetry and art in romanticism. Second-harmonic generation of ZnO nanoparticles synthesized by laser ablation of solids in liquids

We report the synthesis of small zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) based colloidal suspensions and the study of second-harmonic generation from aggregated ZnO NPs deposited on glass substrates. The colloidal suspensions were obtained using the laser ablation of solids in liquids technique, ablating a Zn solid target immersed in acetone as the liquid medium, with ns-laser pulses (1064 nm) of a Nd-YAG laser. The per pulse laser fluence, the laser repetition rate frequency and the ablation time were kept constant. The absorption evolution of the obtained suspensions was optically characterized through absorption spectroscopy until stabilization. Raman spectroscopy, SEM and HRTEM were used to provide evidence of the ZnO NPs structure. HRTEM results showed that 5–8 nm spheroids ZnO NPs were obtained. Strong second-harmonic signal is obtained from random ZnO monocrystalline NPs and from aggregated ZnO NPs, suggesting that the high efficiency of the nonlinear process may not depend on the NPs size or aggregation state

On the nature of transverse coronal waves revealed by wavefront dislocations

Coronal waves are an important aspect of the dynamics of the plasma in the corona. Wavefront dislocations are topological features of most waves in nature and also of magnetohydrodynamic waves. Are there dislocations in coronal waves? The finding and explanation of dislocations may shed light on the nature and characteristics of the propagating waves, their interaction in the corona and in general on the plasma dynamics. We positively identify dislocations in coronal waves observed by the Coronal Multi-channel Polarimeter (CoMP) as singularities in the Doppler shifts of emission coronal lines. We study the possible singularities that can be expected in coronal waves and try to reproduce the observed dislocations in terms of localization and frequency of appearance. The observed dislocations can only be explained by the interference of a kink and a sausage wave modes propagating with different frequencies along the coronal magnetic field. In the plane transverse to the propagation, the cross-section of the oscillating plasma must be smaller than the spatial resolution, and the two waves result in net longitudinal and transverse velocity components that are mixed through projection onto the line of sight. Alfv\'en waves can be responsible of the kink mode, but a magnetoacoustic sausage mode is necessary in all cases. Higher (flute) modes are excluded. The kink mode has a pressure amplitude that is smaller than the pressure amplitude of the sausage mode, though its observed velocity is larger. This concentrates dislocations on the top of the loop. To explain dislocations, any model of coronal waves must include the simultaneous propagation and interference of kink and sausage wave modes of comparable but different frequencies, with a sausage wave amplitude much smaller than the kink one.Comment: 11 pages. 5 figures. Inclusion of [H3PW12O40] and [H4SiW12O40] into a silica gel matrix via "sol-gel" methodology

Indexación: Web of Science; Scopus.Here we report the inclusion of two Keggin Polyoxometalates (POMs), [H3PW12O40] and [H4SiW12O40], into silica gels by integrating them during the preparation of the SiO2 matrix via "sol-gel" methods. Aerogels were produced by supercritical drying of the wet gels impregnated with the POMs, and lyogels were obtained by means of a lyophilization process. These materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transformed infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and thermoanalytical techniques (TGA-DSC). We found that a large fraction of POMs are lost during the aging time, and solvent exchange for lyophilization. However the thermal stability of the bare matrix is modified by the inclusion of POMs. Some aggregates with a high content of POMs were found via SEM-EDX.http://ref.scielo.org/3fg9t

La gestión deportiva es hoy en día fundamental en las entidades públicas. El incremento de la demanda social, del número de instalaciones deportivas y del desarrollo de la legislación en materia de·portiva conlleva a que los poderes públicos instrumenten una estructura técnica que gestione las Instalaciones y planifique un programa de actividades en base a la demanda de los ciudadanos. Esta estructura técnica encabezada por el gestor deportivo, carece de unos criterios básicos que establezcan el perfl ideal para la creación de este puesto de trabajo con garantías de éXito. El papel de este profesional será fundamental en la gestión actual y futura de la población

Sociedad de la información y el conocimiento y nuevos paradigmas del Derecho: el caso de los códigos de conducta en el comercio electrónico

Este trabajo se centra en determinar el nuevo contexto jurídico que nace de la sociedad de la información, con nuevas fuentes del derecho, y mostrar las posibles disfuncionalidades del sistema jurídico vigente. Como caso concreto de la falta de adaptación del sistema jurídico presentamos la autorregulación que se ha llevado a cabo en el comercio electrónico para dar garantía jurídica a operaciones no contempladas en el ordenamiento vigente, mostrando algunas de las experiencias más relevantes, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.This paper wants to determine the new juridical context that arises from the information society, with new sources of rights, and show the possible dysfunctionalities of the current juridical system. As specific case of the lack of adaptation of the juridical system, we introduce the self-regulation that has been carried out in the electronic commerce to give juridical guarantee to transactions not contemplated on the current juridical system, showing some of the most relevant experiences, both nationally and internationally

Implementing games in English classes to teach vocabulary to 4th graders in a private school

Este Proyecto de aula tiene como objetivo implementar juegos para enseñar vocabulario a niños, ya que el aprendizaje de vocabulario es un proceso continuo y necesario para alcanzar las bases para mejorar las cuatro habilidades de un lenguaje. Además, los juegos tienen muchas ventajas y son un medio importante para estimular el aprendizaje y la comunicación. Los participantes fueron 34 estudiantes de grado 4to de un colegio privado femenino de la ciudad de Pereira, Colombia. La metodología, se centro principalmente en la práctica de las habilidades de habla y escucha utilizando el modelo de Presentación, Práctica y Producción para incluir los juegos de vocabulario. Durante las reflexiones, concluimos en puntos como los beneficios de reconocer a los estudiantes por sus fortalezas, además, los problemas de disciplina y aun la extrema emotividad causada por los juegos. Además, se generaron escenarios propicios a la participación de los estudiantes, donde se noto autonomía. Sin embargo, algunas actividades difíciles para su nivel, además el uso de la lengua madre y la traducción fueron frecuentes
