We present results of CCD photometric study of the intermediate polar FO Aqr based on observations obtained at the Baja Astronomical Observatory, Hungary, and at the Vihorlat Astronomical Observatory, Slovakia. We analysed variability of the spin period of the white dwarf in FO Aqr using our observations and previously published minima timings. The spin period is significantly shorter than before 2000

VW LMi: tightest quadruple system known. Light-time effect and possible secular changes of orbits
Tightest known quadruple systems VW LMi consists of contact eclipsing binary
with P_12 = 0.477551 days and detached binary with P_34 = 7.93063 days
revolving in rather tight, 355.0-days orbit. This paper presents new
photometric and spectroscopic observations yielding 69 times of minima and 36
disentangled radial velocities for the component stars. All available radial
velocities and minima times are combined to better characterize the orbits and
to derive absolute parameters of components. The total mass of the quadruple
system was estimated at 4.56 M_sun. The detached, non-eclipsing binary with
orbital period P = 7.93 days is found to show apsidal motion with U
approximately 80 years. Precession period in this binary, caused by the
gravitational perturbation of the contact binary, is estimated to be about 120
years. The wide mutual orbit and orbit of the non-eclipsing pair are found to
be close to coplanarity, preventing any changes of the inclination angle of the
non-eclipsing orbit and excluding occurrence of the second system of eclipses
in future. Possibilities of astrometric solution and direct resolving of the
wide, mutual orbit are discussed. Nearby star, HD95606, was found to form loose

On the accretion disc properties in eclipsing dwarf nova EM Cyg
In this paper we analyzed the behavior of the unusual dwarf nova EM Cyg using
the data obtained in April-October, 2007 in Vyhorlat observatory (Slovak
Republic) and in September, 2006 in Crimean Astrophysical Observatory
(Ukraine). During our observations EM Cyg has shown outbursts in every 15-40
days. Because on the light curves of EM Cyg the partial eclipse of an accretion
disc is observed we applied the eclipse mapping technique to reconstruct the
temperature distribution in eclipsed parts of the disc. Calculations of the
accretion rate in the system were made for the quiescent and the outburst

"Inter-Longitude Astronomy" (ILA) project : current highlights and perspectives : I. Magnetic vs. non-magneticinteracting binary stars
We present a review of highlights of our photometric and photo-polarimetric monitoring and mathematical modeling of interacting binary stars of different types classical, asynchronous, intermedi ate polars with 25 timescales corresponding to differ ent physical mechanisms and their combinations (part "Polar"); negative and positive superhumpers in nova-like and dwarf novae stars ("Superhumper"); symbiotic ("Symbiosis"); eclipsing variables with and without ev idence for a current mass transfer ("Eclipser") with a special emphasis on systems with a direct impact of the stream into the gainor star's atmosphere, which we propose to call "Impactors", or V361 Lyr-type stars. Other parts of the ILA project are "Stellar Bell" (pul sating variables of different types and periods - M, SR, RV Tau, RR Lyr, Delta Sct) and "New Variable".
