    Work in Hypoxic Conditions-Consensus Statement of the Medical Commission of the Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme (UIAA MedCom)

    Objectives: The Commission gives recommendations on how to provide health and safety for employees in different kinds of low oxygen atmospheres. So far, no recommendations exist that take into account the several factors we have outlined in this report. Methods: The health and safety recommendations of several countries were analysed for their strength and deficiencies. The scientific literature was checked (Medline, etc.) and evaluated for relevance of the topic. Typical situations of work in hypoxia were defined and their specific risks described. Specific recommendations are provided for any of these situations. Results: We defined four main groups with some subgroups (main risk in brackets): short exposure (pressure change), limited exposure (acute altitude disease), expatriates (chronic altitude disease), and high-altitude populations (re-entry pulmonary oedema). For healthy unacclimatized persons, an acute but limited exposure down to 13% O2 does not cause a health risk. Employees should be advised to leave hypoxic areas for any break, if possible. Detailed advice is given for any other situation and pre-existing diseases. Conclusions: If the specific risk of the respective type of hypoxia is taken into account, a pragmatic approach to provide health and safety for employees is possible. In contrast to other occupational exposures, a repeated exposure as often as possible is of benefit as it causes partial acclimatization.     The bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of the role of school counseling facilities and their cooperation with primary schools in the integration of disadvantaged pupils into regular classes, especially in connection with the creation and adjustments of an individual education plan for these pupils. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes the necessary supportive measures and content of consulting services for the education of pupils with special educational needs, benefits and content of activities of school counseling facilities. The theoretical part has been elaborated based on the study of scholarly literature. The practical part is devoted to a research aimed at finding forms and efficiency of cooperation of counseling facilities with primary schools integrating pupils with disabilities in Mlada Boleslav

    Prevention of addictions among pupils with hearing disability

    The thesis deals with the prevention of dependencies for pupils with hearing disabilities. The work describes the specifics of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention and focuses on the State of awareness and of preventive measures on the individual schools for the hearing impaired in Prague. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part, which is processed primarily on the basis of the study of literature, contains a general treatise on the auditory disability, a description of the different kinds of dependencies with their consequences and an overview of the possible types of prevention. The practical part is devoted to research through interviews and a questionnaire, which is focused on finding, comparing and quantitative evaluation of the awareness of pupils of various dependencies and their prevention in schools for the hearing impaired in Prague.     ANOTACE: Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na zhodnocení role školských poradenských zařízení a jejich spolupráce se základními školami při začleňování žáků se znevýhodněním do běžné výuky, zejména pak v souvislosti s tvorbou a úpravami individuálního vzdělávacího plánu pro tyto žáky. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V teoretické části jsou popsána nezbytná podpůrná opatření a obsah poradenských služeb zaměřených na vzdělávání žáků se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, přínos a obsah činností školských poradenských zařízení. Teoretická část byla zpracována na základě studia odborné literatury.
