Logic vs Aesthetic: The Effect of Environmental Claim and Visual Design in Green Advertising
The surge in demand for green products leads to rampant practice of “greenwashing”, in which marketers deceitfully try to position their brand as more eco-friendly than it actually is. Past studies on green advertisements have indicated that visual cues in the advertisements can also play a part in affecting consumers’ evaluation of the product and its eco-friendly feature. This study was conducted to examine the effect of two essential elements in a green advertisement, which are the overall visual aesthetic quality of the advertisement and verbal environmental claim. The study was conducted using an experimental vignette method. Two hundred seventy-six respondents participated in this study. Through MANOVA statistical analysis, it was found that both aesthetic quality and environmental claim type used significantly affect green brand associations, as well as the attitude respondents, have towards the brand. However, this significant effect of ads visual aesthetic quality can be concerning since it might hinder consumers to objectively evaluate the environmental claim of the product
Identifying Physic Concepts in Yarn Production by None Fortress Society, Tetaf Village
Science learning is better related to nature through local wisdom since learners can gain more comprehension due to familiarity of occurring events through local wisdom based learning and they can preserve the local wisdom. This research aimed to identify physic concepts that occurred in the yarn processing using cotton by local society of None Fortress. The phenomenological design of qualitative research was undertaken in which the data triangulation technique comprised interviews, observation and documentation using an interview sheet, observation sheet and camera as instruments. The identification result of physic concepts in yarn production by None Fortress people covered Energy, Friction, Rotatory Motion, Circular Motion, Simple machine (Gear), Materials elasticity, vibration, measurement, capillarity, and radiation heat transfer. Based on the invented concepts, further research will expected to integrate the identification result in physic learning

Design and fabrication of GaPO4 ultrasonic transducer for NDT at high temperatures
This thesis was submitted for the award of Doctor of Philosophy and was awarded by Brunel University LondonThere is a critical need for inspection and condition monitoring of high temperature critical components such as pipelines and welds in electrical power generation and other plants operating at temperatures as high as 580°C. The high temperatures and pressures experienced in these pipelines, particularly for ageing plants lead to creep, fatigue and corrosion type defects. Safety of these plants is of paramount importance, and regular maintenance is carried out during planned outages at ambient temperatures. Ultrasonic non-destructive testing can be used to detect defects in the weld at ambient temperatures. However, at high operational temperatures, this technique cannot be applied due to the lack of high temperature transducers. This research has achieved significant advances towards enabling ultrasonic inspection and condition monitoring of high temperature critical points, by developing an ultrasonic transducer around an advanced piezoelectric single crystal material, called Gallium Orthophosphate (GaPO4), which can operate at the required temperature of 580°C. Based on its reported piezoelectric and other properties, and its commercial availability, GaPO4 was chosen as a candidate active material for application in a prototype high temperature transducer. In a series of confidence building tests with the selected piezoelectric material (electrical characterisation via the impedance method), it has been demonstrated that the GaPO4 piezoelectric elements are stable when subjected to 580°C for more than 600 hours. Ultrasonic thickness gauging has shown that GaPO4 works as a functional transducer generating and receiving ultrasound waves at 580°C for at least 360 hours. Furthermore, the sensitivity of the GaPO4 transducer to detect defects with simple geometry was successfully tested through measurements on steel blocks containing artificial defects (side-drilled holes) up to the same high temperatures. Based on the characterisation results from the impedance and ultrasonic measurements, a prototype ultrasonic transducer for operation at high temperatures has been designed and manufactured. The new ultrasonic transducer was tested in a laboratory environment using a steel calibration block, high temperature couplant, SONO 1100, and an electric furnace. In the range from ambient temperatures up to the target of 580°C, the ultrasonic transducer kept a signal-to-noise (SNR) level sufficiently high, above the threshold of 6 dB, which is high enough for practical non-destructive testing and condition monitoring
PERAN BADAN PERMUSYAWARATAN KAMPUNG (BAMUSKAM) DALAM PENYELENGGARAAN PEMERINTAHAN DI KAMPUNG APIMAKOT DISTRIK SERAMBAKON KABUPATEN PEGUNUNGAN BINTANG
Artikel ini adalah hasil penelitian yang sudah diseminarkan dalam ujian skripsi.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sebenarnya kinerja BAMUSKAM itu, apakah benar-benar membantu pemerintah kampung dalam penyelenggaraan pemerintahan atau hanya menjadi simbol demokrasi tanpa implementasi kerja yang efektif. Penelitian dilakukan pada Badan Permusyawaratan Kampung (BAMUSKAM) Yapimakot Distrik Serambakon Kabupaten Pegunungan Bintang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalahkualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BAMUSKAM Yapimakot telah melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya yaitu menetapkan Peraturan Kampung bersama Kepala Kampung, menampung dan menyalurkan aspirasi masyarakat dengan baik. Hal ini terbukti dengan kemampuan BAMUSKAM Yapimakot yang tidak hanya menampung dan menyalurkan aspirasi saja, BAMUSKAM juga merealisasikan aspirasi tersebut dalam bentuk peraturan kampung meski tidak semua dari aspirasi tersebut dijadikan peraturan kampung.Kata Kunci: Peran, Lembaga Permusyawaratan, Pemerintahan, Kampun
Representasi Sosial Mengenai Siswa dengan Disabilitas pada Siswa Non-Disabilitas SMP Inklusi di DKI Jakarta
This study looks at how children with disabilities are socially represented in inclusive schools. A number of 371 junior secondary students without disabilities were recruited from 6 inclusive schools in Jakarta. In a free association fashion, they were stimulated with a phrase student with disabilities and their responses were recorded. They were asked to evaluate their own responses as containing positive, negative, or neutral prototypical characteristics and scored according to the affective loading. The results indicated that even in inclusive school, children with disabilities were socially represented as individuals who are "lacking of abilities", "difficult to communicate", "stupid", and so on. We aslo asked students to fill the Swearer Bully Survey- Student Version (BYS-S) and found that students with disabilities were bullied by their peers

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan Escherichia coli pada air
bersih di Pelabuhan Laut Belawan.
Dari penelitian yang dilakukan bahwa pengawasan terhadap kualitas air bersih di
Pelabuhan Laut Belawan telah dilaksanakan oleh Kantor Kesehatan Pelabuhan Medan
yaitu: melakukan pengambilan sampel air secara rutin dan teratur, kemudian diperiksa ke
Laboratorium Kesehatan Daerah Medan untuk pemeriksaan secara bakteriologis diuji
dengan tes perkiraan, tes penegasan, dan tes lengkap setelah didapat dilakukan evaluasi.
Dari evaluasi data sampel air tersebut diperoleh pemeriksaan bakteriologis selama
2 (dua) tahun, tahun 2001 mulai Januari sampai desember memenuhi syarat 58,33 % dan
tidak memenuhi syarat 41,67 %. tahun 2002 mulai Januari sampai Desember memenuhi
syarat 69,64 % dan tidak memenuhi syarat 30,36 %.
Dari hasil evaluasi data dapat disimpulkan bahwa air tersebut mememihi syarat
sebagai air bersih

Rancang Bangun Alat Peraga Gerak Harmonik Sederhana Berbasis Arduino Pada Sistem Pegas
Telah dilakukan rancang bangun alat peraga gerak harmonik sederhana berbasis arduino pada studi kasus sistem pegas. Alat peraga yang telah dikembangkan bertujuan untuk memvisualisasikan fenomena gerak harmonik sederhana dalam bentuk simpangan terhadap waktu, mengukur konstanta pegas, menyelidiki hubungan periode terhadap massa, dan frekuensi terhadap massa benda. Rancang bangun alat peraga dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga bagian utama, yaitu perancangan perangkat keras (hardware), perancangan perangkat lunak (software) dan pengujian kinerja alat peraga yang dikembangkan. Rancang alat peraga gerak harmonik sederhana dikembangkan dengan memanfaatkan sensor ultrasonik untuk mengukur simpangan benda. Pengukuran simpangan dan waktu disimpan pada komputer (PC) melalui komunikasi serial dengan bantuan PLX-DAQ. Hasil pengukuran konstanta pegas dengan menggunakan alat peraga yang dikembangkan adalah sebesar  dengan kesalahan relatif. Hasil eksperimen juga menunjukan bahwa hubungan antara periode osilasi sebanding dengan akar kuadrat dari massa benda, sedangkan frekuensi osilasi sebanding dengan satu per akar kuadrat dari massa benda
