Virtual simulator for the generation of patho-physiological foetal ECGs during the prenatal period
The design, implementation, and verification of a signal simulator for
the generation of patho-physiological records of foetal electrocardiograms
(fECGs) during the prenatal period are briefly reported. The
simulator enables users to model the patho-physiological changes
that occur within the foetus’ myocardium under hypoxic conditions
(hypoxemia, hypoxia, asphyxia, etc.) during the 20th to 42nd week
of pregnancy. The simulator deploys a dynamic fECG model including
an actual fECG record taken from clinical practice, patho-physiological
cardiotocography (CTG), and ST-analysis (STAN) records along with
the ratio of T waves to the QRS complex; as well as clinical recommendations
by FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and
Obstetrics) for classifying these records. By comparing synthesised
and real patho-physiological CTG and STAN records, the functionality
of the simulator, which effectively captured significant indicators of the
foetus’ condition during the prenatal period including fECG morphology,
dynamic fECG characteristics, and others is evaluated and
validated. The simulator enables users to test both current and emerging
approaches in a very challenging area of gynaecology, namely
the identification/classification of hypoxic conditions in the foetus
during labour. Obstetricians can also use the simulator as a reference
tool during the evaluation of suspect fECG abnormalitiesWeb of Science51221739173

Visual and Communication System for Robotic Control System
Import 26/06/2013Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem a realizací vizualizačního a komunikačního systému pro robotické zařízení. Práce podrobně analyzuje danou problematiku. Začíná rozborem problematiky distribuovaných řídicích systémů a komunikace v těchto systémech, pokračuje návrhem možných řešení komunikačního systému a volbou vhodného výsledného řešení. V další části se zabývá návrhem komunikačního protokolu interní datové sběrnice robotického zařízení a návrhem komunikačního protokolu komunikace s vizualizační částí systému. Práce se zabývá taktéž implementací komunikačního a vizualizačního systému. Závěr práce se věnuje verifikaci implementovaného řešení a komplexním testováním systému.This thesis describes the design and implementation of a visual and communications system for a robotic device. The work analyses the issue in detail. It begins with an analysis of the problems of distributed control systems and the communication in these systems. The thesis continues with possible solutions of the communication system and the appropriate choice of the final solution. The next section describes the design of an internal data bus communication protocol and also the design of a communications protocol to communicate with the visual application of the system. The next part of the thesis also deals with the implementation of the communications and visualization system. The conclusion is devoted to the verification of embedded solutions and comprehensive testing of system.450 - Katedra kybernetiky a biomedicínského inženýrstvívýborn

Energy Management Module for Mobile Robotic Device
This bachelor thesis deals with a design of the new version of the power management exploration vehicle. The charging system will be able to charge with a very small current, which allows the use of alternative sources for charging the battery. The proposal involves the introduction of hardware modifications in order to reduce power losses and thus increase the efficiency of charging the vehicle battery. The paper describes the design of the recharger, balancer and recharging algorithm for the implementation of microcontroller. The following describes the adjustments directly on the control board module of power management, which was necessary, including appropriate software modifications.450 - Katedra měřicí a řídicí technikyvýborn
New strategies for frequency measurement using high-speed video camera system
This paper describes the design, construction, and testing of a high speed cameras as a measuring sensor for position of a fast moving mechanical object. Position is evaluated by detecting the edges of the object. Datasets of these positions then becomes subject to frequency analysis aiming to determine oscillation. The functional prototype is based on virtual instrumentation making use of the LabVIEW developmental environment. The hardware part consists of a high speed video camera, PC with a camera-link frame-rabber. New method for evaluation of oscillation is suitable in range up to hundreds of hertz. The asset of suggested method is its contactless application. It can replace the most common contactless sensors
Visualization and communication system for robotic head control
This article describes the design and implementation of visualization and communication system used to control a robotic head. This document also describes the solution for communication protocol used by internal data bus of the robotic equipment and the proposal for communication protocol used to communicate with the visualization system section. Verification method and testing of the proposed cyber head system is described at the end
Realization of prototype of a low-cost bidirectional communication system through fibreless optics
The article deals with the design and realization of a prototype of an efficient Low-Cost, Low-Power, Low Complexity—hereinafter (L-CPC) bidirectional communication system for reading and configuration of inbuilt devices (e.g. devices for reading of water meters, power meters, gas meters, identification of property and other specific applications), which will comply with the requirements of no radio waves, reuses already existing components (NRW-RAEC). The goal of the authors was to realize a fibreless optical communication system that would be capable of efficiently replacing current systems (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, IrDa etc.) at a fraction of their initial cost with an emphasis on L-CPC and NRW-RAEC. Within the development of the prototype, the authors were responsible for the hardware, firmware (ASM, C) and software components (C#) of the prototype. The functionality of the technical solution of the prototype was verified in a real-life application (reading of water meters). The original contribution of the presented article is the realization of a functional prototype including a patented technical solution and design of an intuitive UI. Real-life experiments have shown that the functional prototype designed by the authors can fully replace current systems at a fraction of their initial cost within the scope of the required parameters.Web of Science91115013
