Rheological and thermal performance of newly developed binder systems for ceramic injection molding

In a novel binder system, carnauba wax was considered to replace the synthetic backbone polymers (polyolefins) enhancing the environmental sustainability of Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM) technology. The paper presents comparison of the rheological performance and thermal behavior of the aluminum oxide CIM feedstocks based on a binder containing carnauba wax with those consisting of a commercial binder. Further, acrawax (N, N'-Ethylene Bis-stearamide) has been considered as another possible substitute of polyolefins. For both proposed substitutes there is a significant reduction in viscosity, and in case of carnauba wax based feedstock also in processing temperature, which is essential for injection molding of reactive powders. Thermal characterization comprised analyses of single neat binders, their mixtures and mixtures with aluminum oxide. The presence of powder lowered melting temperatures of all tested binders except of polyolefin. Further depression in melting point of poly(ethylene glycol) is observed in combination with polyolefin in the presence of powder, and it is related to changes in size of the crystalline domains. © 2016 Author(s)

Olomouc Central European Forum

Diplomová práce byla zpracována jako architektonická studie Středoevropskeho fora v Olomouci (SEFO). Areál SEFO vznikne rekonstrukcí budovy Muzea moderního umění (MUO) v Denisově ulici a přístavbou v sousední proluce. Návrh zahrnuje urbanistické, architektonické, provozně-dispoziční, konstrukční a materiálové řešení objektů v územním kontextu. V rámci SEFO i MUO jsou vytvořeny jednotlivé provozní - samostatně fungující celky. Objekty SEFO a MUO jsou vzájemně propojeny. Je respektována potřeba oddělení veřejně přístupných prostorů od prostorů přístupných pouze zaměstnanci. Architektonická studie v sobě zahrnuje prostory pro výstavy, knihovnu, víceúčelové prostory se zázemím, dvoranu využitelnou pro vernisáže výstav a další kulturní počiny, komorní představení, dále prostory pro edukační činnost, technologické zázemí budovy, depozitáře (transportní i centrální), fotoateliér a restaurátorský ateliér, administrativní prostory, šatny a sociální zařízení personálu. Konkrétním cílem SEFO je podchycování různorodých projevů výtvarné kultury středoevropského regionu po 2. světové válce, budování jeho stálé expozice, akviziční činnost, pořádání krátkodobých výstav včetně větších střednědobých přehlídek (např. bienále či trienále), diskusních fór a dalších podpůrných kulturních akcí.The presented diploma thesis was elaborated as an architectural study of a Central European Forum in Olomouc (SEFO). Campus SEFO will be created as an reconstruction of the Museum of Modern Art (MUO) in Denis street and building in a neighboring vacant lot. The proposal involves urban, architectural, operational layout, design and material solutions objects in spatial context. Within SEFO and MUO they are created each operation - stand-alone units. Objects SEFO and MUO are interconnected. It is necessary to respect the separation of publicly accessible areas of compartments accessible only by employees. Architectural study includes space for exhibitions, library, multi-purpose space with facilities, vestibule usable for exhibition openings and other cultural activities, chamber music performances, as well as facilities for education, technological facilities of the building, the depositary (transport and central), photo studio restoration studio, office space, locker rooms and restrooms personnel. SEFO specific aim of capturing the diverse manifestations of visual culture of Central Europe after World War 2, the building's permanent exhibition, acquisition activity, temporary exhibitions, including larger medium-shows (eg. The biennial or triennial), discussion forums and other supporting cultural events.

Waria transgender community: Current Tendencies and its Stigmatization in the Indonesian Society

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the Indonesian transgender community Waria with an emphasis on it`s current socio-cultural position. I follow the object as a part of indonesian culture and society consider it from the historical-cultural point of view. The major consideration is spend on the influence of religion and colonialism. The phenomenon of crossdressing is also included in it`s forms of dance and theatre. Subsequently I focus on the Bugis ethnic group with special regard on specific individual groups, where I describe in more detail the phenomenon bissu, which is considered probably the best known in the historical literature on transgenderism in Southeast Asia. The Graphic Style of Tabloids - The Visual Presentation of Tabloid Information in the Printed Media

Diplomová práce Grafický styl bulváru - vizuální prezentace bulvární informace v tištěných médiích se zaměřuje na analýzu grafického zpracování bulvárních novin v osmi evropských zemích: České republice, Slovensku, Německu, Rakousku, Velké Británii, Švédsku, Finsku a Dánsku. Cílem práce je identifikovat nejčastěji užívané formy vizuální prezentace bulvárních informací v těchto zemích a zjistit hlavní znaky, ve kterých se liší grafické zpracování bulvárních novin mezi jednotlivými státy. Pro dosažení těchto cílů byla použita kvalitativní komparativní výzkumná metoda, přičemž vzorek je tvořen z bulvárních deníků z každého analyzovaného státu. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty základy typografie a teorie barev. Dále se zde nachází výsledky eye-trackingové studie a informace o rozměrech novin. Tyto informace byly dále využity v druhé části práce, kde byly analyzovány deníky z výzkumného vzorku a bylo provedeno srovnání mezi jednotlivými typologickými skupinami. Zde byl důraz kladen na grafické zpracování článků, titulních stran a log daných deníků. Výsledky této práce poskytnou užitečné poznatky o vizuální prezentaci bulvárních informací v tištěných médiích a mohou sloužit jako podklad pro další výzkumy v oblasti grafického zpracování novin.The diploma thesis The Graphic Style of Tabloids - The Visual Presentation of Tabloid Information in the Printed Media focuses on analyzing the graphic design of tabloid newspapers in eight European countries: the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. The aim of the study is to identify the most commonly used forms of visual presentation of tabloid information in these countries and to determine the key characteristics that differentiate the graphic design of tabloid newspapers among the individual states. The research employs a qualitative comparative research method, with the sample consisting of tabloid newspapers from each analyzed country. The theoretical part summarizes the fundamentals of typography and color theory, alongside the results of an eye-tracking study and information about newspaper dimensions. These pieces of information are then utilized in the second part of the study, where newspapers from the research sample are analyzed and compared among different typological groups. Special attention is given to the graphic design of articles, front pages, and logos of the respective newspapers. Patterning of the Jacquard loom fabric in the Design department conditions

Oba tyto stavy se nacházejí v tkalcovských dílnách Technické univerzity v Liberci. Práce stručně uvádí do problematiky tkaní a vzorování, objasňuje faktory ovlivňující vzhled tkaniny a seznamuje se základními druhy vazeb. Jsou zde vysvětleny nutné základy použitého vzorovacího programu Design Scope Victor a jeho kompatibilita s řídící jednotkou JC4 stroje Somet a řídícím programem Jack Point pro stav Jacq3G. Pro vzájemné srovnání jednotlivých technologií slouží vzor, vytvořený přímo pro potřeby této práce a následně zpracovaný ve dvou variantách.This bachelor´s thesis compares the Somet Thema 11 Excel automatic silk needle loom equipped with an electronic Jacquard CX860 control unit with the Jacquard Jacq3G semiautomatic cotton loom. Both machines are situated in the weaving workshops of the Technical University in Liberec. There is a short introduction to the field of weaving and patterning, a clarification of the factors that influence the fabric look and an explanation of the basic weaves. The basics of the Design Scope Victor software that is used in this work are presented along with its compatibility with the JC4 control unit of the Somet loom and with the control program Jack Point for the Jacq3G loom. A design specifically created for this thesis and worked out in two variations provides the foundation for the comparison of these technologies

V úvodní části jsou nejprve klasifikovány podniky podle velikosti a trhy, na kterých působí. Teoretická část se v první polovině zabývá průmyslovým trhem, na kterém firma působí, jeho specifiky v obchodování, výběru a vztahů s dodavateli, odběrateli a sledováním konkurence. V druhé části věnované teorii je popsán marketing, jeho nástroje, organizace a reorganizace marketingu, kontrola činností a vztahy marketingu k jiným oddělením. Praktická část začíná charakteristikou firmy RECTICEL Interiors CZ s.r.o., dále jsou uvedeny marketingové činnosti, finanční analýza a zdraví podniku. V následující kapitole je popsána situace, týkající se marketingu, v některých nadnárodních společnostech vyrábějících interiéry automobilů, působících na českém trhu.
