Introduction: Drug convicts who do not receive rehabilitation tend to have low motivation to recover and stop drug abuse. Handling in an effort to increase the motivation of prisoners to recover from drug abuse is through the group counseling method. Group counseling provides encouragement and motivation to make changes in individuals. This type of research uses a one group pre-post test research design to compare the motivation recover before and after group counseling. Sampling in this study were prisoners of drug abuse cases, with a sample size of 20 people. Methods: The sampling technique was non-random sampling, namely purposive samling. The data was collected using a questionnaire, the result of statistical tests were carried out by the normality test, then the date were analyzed using the paired T test. The analysis result showed that the value of P=0.000 (P <0,05). Result: So it can be concluded that there is a diffrence in motivation recover before group counseling after group counseling is done. This means that there is an influence of group counseling on the motivation to recover in prisoners of drug abuse cases at the Class II B Rutan in Majene. Conclusions: It is hoped that the state prisoners will further improve the quality of services and coaching activities for inmates with drug abuse cases and can apply guidance knowledge and group counseling to increase motivation. To recover in prisoners of drug abuse cases.

Bead, Hoop, and Spring as a Classical Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking Problem

We describe a simple mechanical system that involves Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking. The system consists of two beads constrained to slide along a hoop and attached each other through a spring. When the hoop rotates about a fixed axis, the spring-beads system will change its equilibrium position as a function of the angular velocity. The system shows two different regions of symmetry separated by a critical point analogous to a second order transition. The competitive balance between the rotational diynamics and the interaction of the spring causes an Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking just as the balance between temperature and the spin interaction causes a transition in a ferromagnetic system. In addition, the gravitational potential act as an external force that causes explicit symmetry breaking and a feature of first-order transition. Near the transition point, the system exhibits a universal critical behavior where the changes of the parameter of order is described by the critical exponent beta =1/2 and the susceptibility by gamma =1. We also found a chaotic behavior near the critical point. Through a demostrative device we perform some qualitative observations that describe important features of the system.Comment: 7 pages, 2 tables, 30 figures, LaTeX2

Aims: Drugs today are one of the urgent and complex problems. One of the interventions that can be done to motivate quitting drug addiction is counselling This study aims to map evidence related to the strategies of counselling in victims of drug abuse and strategies in conducting counselling. Methods: Search databases for this study were PubMed, CINAHL, Science Direct and Google Scholar. Article identification was carried out based on the criteria for the year of publication (2013-2022), RCT / A Cross Section Study/Cross-Sectional Study, English and Indonesian Language, Fulltext, Teenagers to the elderly. Using the PRISMA flowchart, data extraction and scoping with the keywords (English): “Drug Dependence OR Subtance Abuse AND Counselling AND Drug Abuser” and keywords in Indonesian language “Ketergantungan Narkoba OR Penyalahgunaan Zat AND Konseling AND Pengguna Narkoba”. Results: The results of the study found that of the 9 articles that met the criteria. The main findings reveal that there are strategies in counselling, namely by means of drug counselling (drug handling controlled and monitored by doctors and nurses as psychoeducation providers) and telephone. counselling that can be used in screening and planning action. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that in counselling drug users there are several types, methods, and approaches included in the provision of counselling that are more effective in increasing motivation to recover or drug dependence in patients who are prescribed drugs by doctors compared to those who do not have prescription drugs. It is expected to contribute to the field of nursing as a strategy in counselling victims of drug abuse or people with drug addiction

Developing a Practice in Remote Sensing for Next-Generation Human Rights Researchers

Get PDF
Remote sensing is increasingly recognized as an important tool for documenting human rights abuses. When used alongside interviews, case studies, surveys, forensic science, and other well-established research methods in human rights and humanitarian practice, remotely sensed data can effectively geolocate and establish chronologies for mass graves, forced displacement, destruction of cultural heritage sites, and other violations. But as a highly technical field of science that relies on ever-changing technologies, remote sensing and geospatial analysis are not readily accessible for human rights and humanitarian practitioners. The community of practice grew out of innovative work by practitioners at NGOs and specialized inter-governmental such as UNITAR/UNOSAT. Now, with the increasing demand by human rights NGOs for geospatial evidence, there is an urgent need to expand the community of practitioners who have training in the appropriate and responsible use of geospatial technologies for human rights research and documentation. One piece of this will be opportunities for training new practitioners, such as a multi-disciplinary curriculum that prepares students across human rights, law, sciences, and engineering for work in this field. Places for those students to learn, such as university research centers focused on remote sensing and human rights, and experiential learning opportunities with NGOs also need to be created. These practitioners will then need places to do their work in NGOs, inter-governmental organizations, and development agencies. After a brief introduction to the current state of practice and a pilot initiative at the University of Dayton, most of the session will be a facilitated discussion among session participants. What would a career pathway as a geospatial analyst for human rights look like? What educational opportunities are needed to support those careers? What experiential learning opportunities are available with human rights and humanitarian organizations? What is the role of funders and donors in developing this community of practice

Domain matched epitaxial growth of Bi1.5Zn1Nb1.5O7 thin films by pulsed laser deposition

Get PDF
Bi1.5Zn1Nb1.5O7 (BZN) epitaxial thin films were grown by pulsed laser deposition on Al2O3 with a double ZnO buffer layer through domain matching epitaxy (DME) mechanism. The pole figure analysis and reciprocal space mapping revealed the single crystalline nature of the thin film. The pole figure analysis also shows a 60º twinning for the (222) oriented crystals. Sharp intense spots in the SAED pattern also indicate the high crystalline nature of BZN thin film. The Fourier filtered HRTEM images of the BZN-ZnO interface confirms the domain matched epitaxy of BZN with ZnO buffer. An electric field dependent dielectric tunability of 68% was obtained for the BZN thin films with inter digital capacitors patterned over the film
