    Wireless technology has developed into one of today's hottest topics due to its ability to bring the power of communication and the Internet into the hands of users while overcoming temporal and spatial constraints. Students in University Utara Malaysia are facing some of problems in paying their bills and paying their tuition fees. Thus, every time they have to go to Jitra or Alor Star to pay for their internet or astro bills. Moreover, for their tuition fees, students have to withdraw money from their bank and then go to pay for their tuition fees. These consume a lot of money and time. In this study, M-payment system helps to make it much easier for student to make their payment and settle their bills and their tuition fees at their convenience by using their wireless devices

    (R1412) Stability and Bifurcation of a Cholera Epidemic Model with Saturated Recovery Rate

    In this paper, a Cholera epidemic model is proposed and studied analytically as well as numerically. It is assumed that the disease is transmitted by contact with Vibrio cholerae and infected person according to dose-response function. However, the saturated treatment function is used to describe the recovery process. Moreover, the vaccine against the disease is assumed to be utterly ineffective. The existence, uniqueness and boundedness of the solution of the proposed model are discussed. All possible equilibrium points and the basic reproduction number are determined. The local stability and persistence conditions are established. Lyapunov method and the second additive compound matrix are used to study the global stability of the system. The conditions that guarantee the occurrence of local bifurcation and backward bifurcation are determined. Finally, numerical simulation is used to investigate the global dynamical behavior of the Cholera epidemic model and understand the effects of parameters on evolution of the disease in the environment. It is observed that the solution of the model is very sensitive to varying in parameters values and different types of bifurcations are obtained including backward bifurcation

    The Dynamics of Stage Structured Prey-Predator Model Involving Parasitic Infectious Disease

    In this paper a prey-predator model involving parasitic infectious disease is proposed and analyzed. It is assumed that the life cycle of predator species is divided into two stages immature and mature. The analysis of local and global stability of all possible subsystems is carried out. The dynamical behaviors of the model system around biologically feasible equilibria are studied. The global dynamics of the model are investigated with the help of Suitable Lyapunov functions. Conditions for which the model persists are established. Finally, to nationalize our analytical results, numerical simulations are worked out for a hypothetical set of parameter values

    Deep fingerprint classification network

    Fingerprint is one of the most well-known biometrics that has been used for personal recognition. However, faked fingerprints have become the major enemy where they threat the security of this biometric. This paper proposes an efficient deep fingerprint classification network (DFCN) model to achieve accurate performances of classifying between real and fake fingerprints. This model has extensively evaluated or examined parameters. Total of 512 images from the ATVS-FFp_DB dataset are employed. The proposed DFCN achieved high classification performance of 99.22%, where fingerprint images are successfully classified into their two categories. Moreover, comparisons with state-of-art approaches are provided

    Theoretical Analysis and Evaluation of NoCs with Weighted Round-Robin Arbitration

    Fast and accurate performance analysis techniques are essential in early design space exploration and pre-silicon evaluations, including software eco-system development. In particular, on-chip communication continues to play an increasingly important role as the many-core processors scale up. This paper presents the first performance analysis technique that targets networks-on-chip (NoCs) that employ weighted round-robin (WRR) arbitration. Besides fairness, WRR arbitration provides flexibility in allocating bandwidth proportionally to the importance of the traffic classes, unlike basic round-robin and priority-based arbitration. The proposed approach first estimates the effective service time of the packets in the queue due to WRR arbitration. Then, it uses the effective service time to compute the average waiting time of the packets. Next, we incorporate a decomposition technique to extend the analytical model to handle NoC of any size. The proposed approach achieves less than 5% error while executing real applications and 10% error under challenging synthetic traffic with different burstiness levels.Comment: This paper is accepted in International Conference on Computer Aided Design (ICCAD), 202

    Legal considerations for urban underground space development in Malaysia

    In 2008, the Malaysia land code, named the National Land Code 1965 (NLC 1965), was amended to add Part Five (A) to deal with the disposal of underground space. In addition, the Circular of the Director General of Lands and Mines No. 1/2008 was issued to assist the application of Part Five (A) of the NLC 1965. However, the legislation is still questionable and has instigated many arguments among numerous actors. Therefore, this research was undertaken to examine legal considerations for the development of underground space. The focus is on four legal considerations, namely underground space ownership, the bundle of rights, depth, and underground space utilization. Rooted in qualitative methods, interviews were conducted with respondents involved in the development of underground space in Malaysia. The obtained data were then analyzed descriptively. The findings differentiated the rights of landowners for surface land and underground space, and their liability for damages and the depth. It was indicated that the current legislation in Malaysia, namely Part Five (A) of the NLC 1965 and the Circular of the Director General of Lands and Mines No. 1/2008, is adequate to facilitate the development of underground space in terms of legal considerations. However, to further facilitate the development of underground land in the future, based on the research, four enhancements are recommended for legal considerations pertaining to the development of underground space in Malaysia

    This research is aimed to develop the electrical conductivity of PEM fuel cellthrough the using of a series of graphite plates. The effect of width, thickness of platesin addition to the current and gas flow rate (hydrogen and oxygen) were studied.Results showed that electrical conductivity can be reached to the optimum value(850Scm), when cell thickness, current and gas flow rate are 0.3cm, 8.13A and 0.6Lmin respectively
