Customer perspective from Generation Z on sustainable tourism initiatives
This study aims to explore the consumer perspective on sustainable tourism, with a focus on Generation Z. By investigating the factors influencing engagement on ecotourism, including psychological and mundane aspects, this research seeks to provide insights into their preferences. Additionally, the study assesses the effectiveness of communication strategies in promoting sustainable tourism engagement among Generation Z. The research project utilized a survey experiment methodology, consisting of a descriptive analysis exploring the influence of psychological and mundane factors on consumers' engagement in ecotourism, and an experiment assessing the effectiveness of different communication strategies on the Generation Z consumers' willingness to engage in sustainable tourism. The results show that subjective norms and materialism are the key psychological factors, with higher social norms increasing engagement and higher materialism decreasing it. Among the more mundane factors, price and knowledge positively influence sustainable tourism participation. The study found no significant differences in the effectiveness of communication strategies emphasizing different aspects of sustainable tourism on participants' inclination towards ecotourism. Understanding the preferences of Generation Z consumers enables tailored marketing strategies and innovative sustainable tourism experiences in the industry. This study stands out by examining the factors influencing ecotourism among Generation Z, encompassing psychological and conventional determinants, while also assessing the impact of communication strategies.
STANISŁAW BRZOZOWSKI – TO THINK RADICALLY
Stanisław Brzozowski is one of the most radical philosophers.
Radicalism of his thought involves not only the idea of fundamental
social change, but also the reinterpretation of some philosophical
concepts. Two main concepts are nature and history. They are
reinterpreted in order to show their human origins. According to
Brzozowski nature and history are human constructions, namely they
are set by human praxis. Brzozowski’s understanding changed over the
time. In my article I focus on two phases of Brzozowski’s thought. The
first is Kantian and Fichtean. At that point Brzozowski interprets
human praxis as moral act. The second one is Marxian. At that point
human praxis is understood as labour
Theater photographs as a source of research on the cultural heritage of 2nd half of the 19th century
Theatre atelier photography is one of the few visual sources relating to the theatre of the second half of the nineteenth century; it is the most direct testimony, which, however, requires considerable caution in its interpretation. Science has developed a lot of methods for the study of visual sources, so an attempt – however schematic and being just a reconnaissance in that research field – to implement them to interpret theater atelier photography seems to be justified. The author refers to methods which are the most interesting and the most relevant for the history of theater, and considers their usefulness in the analysis and interpretation of the photographic testimonies of dramatic performances
Art history and medicine
The article Art history and medicine concerns selected aspects of the Medicine in art exhibition, taking place at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków (MOCAK) between 22nd April and 22nd October 2016. The author discusses the issue of medicine with regard to its mechanisms that let us create and perceive art. This reflection includes a historical overview of the “medically-oriented” art research. Another significant aspect constitutes the attempt to explain by the tools associated with neuroaesthetics, why the viewers are likely to look at some drastic images created by artists with such willingness and involvement. The analysis refers to texts by D. Freedberg, V. Gallese, A. Damasio, P. Przybysz, and others. It also includes interpretations of the photohraph Seated anatomical model by Zoe Leonard, as well as the Medical Kit installation by Wilhelm Sasnal. The article Art history and medicine concerns selected aspects of the Medcine in art exhibition, taking place at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków (MOCAK) between 22nd April and 22nd October 2016. Glutathione concentration, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase activity in elderly patients with type II diabetes compared to hypertensives
Age-related oxidative stress is generated by a combination of increased production of free radicals, decreased antioxidants levels, diminished activity of antioxidant enzymes and impaired repair of oxidative damages. Oxidative stress is associated with many diseases commonly present in elderly such as hypertension and diabetes. In our study we have observed significantly (p<0,01) increased level of reduced glutathione in treated hypertensive compared to treated diabetic patients (3,1± 0,29 mmol/L and 2,72 ± 0,4 mmol/L, respectively) and significantly (p<0,01) increased activity of glutathione reductase (83,43± 15,25 U/g Hb and 65,74 ± 14,27 U/g Hb, respectively)
Jak wykorzystywać okulografię w muzeum – przyczynek do dyskusji
The article presents the results of eye tracking research conducted in The District Museum of Toruń (Muzeum Okregowe w Toruniu), within the exhibition entitled Polish painting and sculpture from 1945-2010 in the collection of the District Museum of Toruń ( Malarstwo i rzeźba polska od 1945 do 2010 roku w zbiorach Muzeum Okregowego w Toruniu ) in July 2016. Its aim was to register eyeball movements of eleven people whose task was to enjoy the exhibition without any time limits. The experiment was to provide the answer to the question about the usefulness of eye tracking to museology. The results turned out to be a valuable point of reference for discussion. Despite the fact that the paper constitutes a form of prolegomena to the topic, some noteworthy issues do indeed appear, including: the question of what our strategy of viewing/looking at paintings is, the problem of the viewer’s behaviour in a museum space, the usefulness of eye tracking in preparing expositions, catalogues and guides. The project was financed out of the budget of Toruń (President’s scholarship), conducted in cooperation with the District Museum of Toruń
"Place of memory" in memory management on artist

The article "Place of memory" in memory management on artist reconstructs its history, records the most important definitions, shows the differences between the conceptions. It also constitutes an attempt to justify the necessity of using the term "place of memory" in management sciences in the humanities and contributes to validate the need for the development of memory management in which such figures play a constitutive role
