Aprendizaje de algoritmia mediante desafíos de programación

Esta presentación describe las características de un sistema de autoevaluación de código, similar a los utilizados en los concursos de programación, que permite a los estudiantes aplicar los conocimientos teóricos de la disciplina de algoritmia para resolver problemas prácticos y, a la vez, reforzar las competencias generales de programación adquiridas en cursos previos. La experiencia de varios cursos en su aplicación demuestra que la utilización de un sistema competitivo introduce un aliciente adicional para la realización de los ejercicios.Peer Reviewe

Poisson-Lie groups, bi-Hamiltonian systems and integrable deformations

Producción CientíficaGiven a Lie-Poisson completely integrable bi-Hamiltonian system on R^n, we present a method which allows us to construct, under certain conditions, a completely integrable bi-Hamiltonian deformation of the initial Lie-Poisson system on a non-abelian Poisson-Lie group G_eta of dimension n, where eta \in R is the deformation parameter. Moreover, we show that from the two multiplicative (Poisson-Lie) Hamiltonian structures on G_eta that underly the dynamics of the deformed system and by making use of the group law on G_eta, one may obtain two completely integrable Hamiltonian systems on G_eta x G_eta. By construction, both systems admit reduction, via the multiplication in G_eta, to the deformed bi-Hamiltonian system in G_eta. The previous approach is applied to two relevant Lie-Poisson completely integrable bi-Hamiltonian systems: the Lorenz and Euler top systems

Cavity losses estimation in CSP applications

Colombia es un país con una longitud de costa marina de2.960 Kms. La zona económica exclusiva reclamada tiene una área de 988.000 Kms.No obstante el potencial de recursos hidrobiológicos, la contribución del sector pesquero al PIB nacional se estimó para 1982 en algo menos del 0.4 %.Correlativamente con esto los estudios se han orientado al marco general de la pesca, por ello el criterio seguido en esta elaboración se orienta a describir las condiciones de la pesca artesanal específicamente tratando de adelantar algunas categorizaciones y en segundo lugar, a considerar el tema sobre un espacio regional concreto como es el Golfo de Morrosquillo en el departamento de Sucre

Cobalt-Catalyzed ortho-C−H functionalization/alkyne annulation of benzylamine derivatives: Access to dihydroisoquinolines

A practical picolinamide-directed C−H functionalization/alkyne annulation of benzylamine derivatives enabling access to the previously elusive 1,4-dihydroisoquinoline skeleton was developed using molecular O2as the sole oxidant and Co(OAc)2as precatalyst. The method is compatible with both internal and terminal alkynes and shows high versatility and functional-group tolerance. Furthermore, full preservation of enantiopurity is observed when using non-racemic α-substituted benzylamine derivatives. Aesthetic Quality Properties of Carbonate Breccias Associated with Textural and Compositional Factors: Marrón Emperador Ornamental Stone (Upper Cretaceous, Southeast Spain)

The aesthetic properties of ornamental stones, including colour, texture, and the presence or absence of discontinuities, are influential in their use and marketing. This is particularly critical in brecciated rocks such as the Marrón Emperador (ME) ornamental stone, a dark brown breccia dolostone (Upper Cretaceous, southeast Spain). ME shows a high chromatic and textural variability, which is one of its most appreciated commercial features. Through a petrographic, mineralogical, geochemical and colourimetric study of samples obtained from quarries, outcrops and/or drilling cores, several quality categories have been established, as well as the relationship between the aesthetic properties of ME ornamental stone with its compositional and textural factors. Three main types of breccia constitute the ME exploitable lithotect: crackle and mosaic packbreccias, and rubble floatbreccias. Breccia clasts are mainly composed of hypidiotopic-idiotopic medium- to coarsely-crystalline dolosparites, microcrystalline dolosparites and dolomicrites. Results show that diagenetic processes are mainly responsible for the colour of ME dolostones, revealing that the Sr content is a key factor. The darker brown dolomites always show a higher Sr content, where other typical chromophore elements in dolomites, such as Fe and Mn, do not present this correlation. This study provides evidence for the complexity of processes and factors that are responsible for aesthetic quality features in ornamental stones

Nanodielectric mapping of a model polystyrene-poly(vinyl acetate) blend by electrostatic force microscopy

The EFM experiments are based on the measurement of the frequency shifts of the oscillating tip biased at two different voltages. A numerical treatment based on the equivalent charge method allows extracting the values of the dielectric permittivity at each image point. This method can be applied with no restrictions of film thickness and tip radius. This method has been applied to image the morphology and the nanodielectric properties of a model polymer blend of polystyrene and poly(vinyl acetate).The financial support of Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) is acknowledged.
