Crimean Turkish Karaim and the Old North-western Turkic tradition of the Karaites
The aim of this paper is to examine the language of Karaite literature, mostly translations from Hebrew, developing in the 18th–19th centuries in the Crimea. Linguistic features of most works of this literature are typical of Crimean Turkish with many North-western Turkic or Kipchak properties. Among the most important authors and translators there were such distinguished intellectuals and spiritual leaders as Abraham Firkovich, Joseph Solomon Łucki, Abraham Łucki, Mordecai Qazaz, and Eliyahu Qazaz. Because of the mixed character of this language and the lack of strict standards, its definition and attribution is still debated. Until all works will be examined, it seems reasonable to speak of the individual language preferences of some leaders who created and practised it, rather than of the literary language of Crimean Karaites in general
A Bible Translation into the Northern Crimean Dialect of Karaim
The paper presents selected samples of a Bible translation into the northern Crimean dialectof the Karaim language. The samples are taken from a manuscript kept in the RylandsLibrary collection in Manchester. The present publication comprises an introduction, transliteration, phonetic transcription, grammatical sketch and a glossary. In the introduction, the reader will fînd a description of the manuscript with notes on graphemics

Two Karaim religious poems by Isaac ben Abraham Troki
This article presents two Karaim religious hymns attributed to the famous Lithuanian Karaite sage, Isaac ben Abraham Troki (1533–1594), the best known Lithuanian Karaite scholar in Europe, author of Ḥizzuk Emuna ‘The strengthening of faith’, which was translated into a number of European languages. The poems were found in two Karaite manuscripts, one undated, the other dated 1686

The Accurate Solution of Certain Continuous Problems Using Only Single Precision
A typical approach for finding the approximate solution of a continuous problem is through discretization with meshsize h such that the truncation error goes to zero with h. The discretization problem is solved in floating point arithmetic. Rounding-errors spoil the theoretical convergence and the error may even tend to infinity. In this paper we present algorithms of moderate cost which use only single precision and which compute the approximate solution of the integration and elliptic equation problems with full accuracy. These algorithms are based on the modified Gill-Møller algorithm for summation of very many terms, iterative refinement of a linear system with a special algorithm for the computation of residuals in single precision and on a property of floating point subtraction of nearby numbers
Struktura sprzedaży i zużycia środków ochrony roślin w Polsce w latach 2000-2012
The chemical industry has a wide range of plant protection products. Their use is the most effective factor of yielding. The main objective of this article is to present the structure of the sales and use of plant protection products in Poland in the years 2000-2012. Sales of plant protection products is systematically growing. Total sales of plant protection products in bulk commodity in our country was in 2000, 22 thousand t, and in 2012 nearly 3-fold higher and amounted to 61.5 thousand t. In the sales structure dominated herbicides, followed by fungicides, insecticides, the smallest percentage stated rodenticides and growth regulators. Consumption of plant protection products in 2012 in kg of active ingredient per 1 ha of crops was more than 2kg . ha-1 but in 2005 was 1.3 kg ha-1Przemysł chemiczny dysponuje szerokim asortymentem środków ochrony roślin, ich stosowanie jest najskuteczniejszym czynnikiem plonochronnym. Głównym celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie struktury sprzedaży i zużycia środków ochrony roślin w Polsce w latach 2000-2012. Sprzedaż środków ochrony roślin systematycznie wzrasta. W naszym kraju w 2000 roku ogółem sprzedaż środków ochrony roślin w masie towarowej wynosiła 22 tys. t, a w 2012 roku była prawie 3-krotnie większa i wynosiła 61,5 tys. t. W strukturze sprzedaży dominowały herbicydy, następnie fungicydy, insektycydy, a najmniejszy procentowy udział przypadał na rodentycydy i regulatory wzrostu. Zużycie środków ochrony roślin w 2012 roku w kg substancji aktywnej na 1 ha zasiewów wynosiło ponad 2 kg . ha-1 , podczas gdy w 2005 roku wynosiło 1,3 kg ha-
Prawno-siedliskowe aspekty zarządzania parkami miejskimi
Parks are considered green areas of at least two hectares. The Nature Conservation Act (2004) Art. 5 points. 21 defines parks as "areas with technical infrastructure and with buildings functionally linked to them, covered with plants, within villages with a compact settlement or cities, performing functions of the aesthetic, recreational, health or curtain." City Parks because of their location, are important recreation - resting area for urban residents. The urban park management requires understanding and connecting interests of both citizens as well as nature. Such objects should be based on a policy of sustainable development. Park as an area dominated by plants has a positive effect on the urban climate and hydrological cycle in cities. Plants inhabiting urban parks, however, are subjected to stresses of various types, such as water shortage, or salinity. People responsible for park management should aim to achieve spatial diversity. Requirements for urban parks are primarily differentiated in terms of age groups, of users, what is associated with mobility and physical activityJako parki uważa się tereny zieleni o powierzchni co najmniej 2 ha. Ustawa o ochronie przyrody (2004) art. 5 pkt.
