Non-unique conical and non-conical tangents to rectifiable stationary varifolds in R^4

We construct a rectifiable stationary 2-varifold in R^4 with non-conical, and hence non-unique, tangent varifold at a point. This answers a question of L. Simon (Lectures on geometric measure theory, 1983, p. 243) and provides a new example for a related question of W.K. Allard (On the first variation of a varifold, Ann. of Math., 1972, p. 460). The czech broadcast conversation corpus

This paper presents the final version of the Czech Broadcast Conversation Corpus that will shortly be released at the Linguistic Data Consortium (LDC). The corpus contains 72 recordings of a radio discussion program, which yields about 33 hours of transcribed conversational speech from 128 speakers. The release does not only include verbatim transcripts and speaker information, but also structural metadata (MDE) annotation that involves labeling of sentence-like unit boundaries, marking of non-content words like filled pauses and discourse markers, and annotation of speech disfluencies. The MDE annotation is based on the LDC's annotation standard for English, with changes applied to accommodate phenomena that are specific for Czech. In addition to its importance to speech recognition, speaker diarization, and structural metadata extraction research, the corpus is also useful for linguistic analysis of conversational Czech

Proposal for an Automatic Trading System for Foreign Exchange Market

Diplomová práce se zabývá navržením automatického obchodního systému určeného především pro intra-denní obchodování na měnových trzích. Cílem práce je vytvořit ucelený teoretický základ, v praktické části práce poznatky využít k vytvoření vhodného automatického obchodního systému. V práci je kladen důraz zejména na technickou a částečně psychologickou analýzu měnových trhů. Navržený systém bude vhodně optimalizován pro maximalizaci zisku a stability s aplikací na nejlikvidnějších měnových párech.The thesis deals with designing an automated trading system, especially for intra-day trading the currency markets. The aim is to create a comprehensive theoretical background, practical work knowledge can be used to develop appropriate automated trading system. The thesis is an emphasis on technical and partly a psychological analysis of currency markets. Designed system will be suitably optimized to maximize profits and stability of applications on the most liquid currency pairs.

Partial reconfiguration methods based on programmable structures

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá možnostmi částečné rekonfigurace programovatelných struktur. Teoretická část obsahuje základy metod částečné rekonfigurace FPGA firmy Xilinx a je zpracována pro procesory Spartan 3, Virtex II, Virtex 4, Virtex 5. Zahrnuje popis konfiguračních rozhranní a jejich využití při rozdílové a modulární částečné rekonfiguraci. Rozdílová částečná rekonfigurace je prakticky v druhé části testována na desce Spartan 3E Starter Kit a modulární částečná rekonfigurace na desce ML501. Konfigurační bitstreamy jsou přiloženy na CD. Potřebný software poskytla firma Xilinx Inc. a konkrétně jde o programy ISE 9.2i a PlanAHEAD 9.2This master's thesis dissertates of partial reconfiguration methods based on programmable structures. In theoretical part it deals with difference and modular-based method of Xilinx's FPGAs Partial reconfiguration. Options of both reconfiguration techniques were written for Spartan 3, Virtex II, Virtex 4 and Virtex 5 processors. Diference-based method was in practical part tested on Spartan 3E Starter Kit and modular-based on ML501 board. All configuration bitstreams are included on CD. Xilinx Inc. provided all needed software tools such as ISE9.2i and PlanAHEAD.

Mathematical and Statistical Methods as Support of the Development of Software Applications

Předmětem mojí bakalářské práce je návrh aplikace pro výpočet finanční situace firmy INKAREA s.r.o., kterou jsem si vybral. Program bude vytvořen v intuitivním prostředí MS Excel pomocí jazyku VBA. K výpočtu použiji výkazy z účetnictví za roky 2013–2017, které budou podrobněji analyzovány v praktické části práce. V teoretické části se budu věnovat popsání statistických metod a ukazatelů, stejně tak jako popisu zkoumané firmy. Závěrem chci zhodnotit zdraví firmy a možné návrhy na zlepšení strategie na trhu.The subject of the thesis is design of an application for calculation of financial situation in the firm INKAREA s.r.o, which I have chosen. The software will be programmed in the intuitive environment of MS Excel with the help of VBA. I will use the reports from the accountancy during the years 2013–2017, which are going to be more analysed in the practical part. The theoretical part will be dedicated to description of statistical methods and indicators as well as introducing the chosen firm. In the end I would like to evaluate the firm´s condition and some possible suggestions for improvement of the strategy on the market.

Tourist Potential of the Town Zlín

Import 29/09/2010Tématem mé bakalářské práce je Turistický potenciál města Zlín. Bakalářskou práci jsem vypracovával pod vedením prof. RNDr. Arnošta Wahly, CSc. Mým hlavním cílem bylo charakterizování a zhodnocení turistického potenciálu města Zlín. Dále jsem se také zabýval zhodnocením hlavních atraktivit města a poukázat tak na jeho největší přednosti. V teoretické části obecně přibližuji základní postupy při posuzování potenciálu cestovního ruchu a metodiku při jeho hodnocení. Dále pak přímo uvádím, jaké atraktivity lze zařadit do jaké kategorie. V další části popisuji historii a současnost města Zlín. Dále popisuji základní charakteristické rysy města Zlína, které se podílejí na jeho rozvoji. Také představuji místní atraktivity kulturně-historického typu, kulturní a sportovní akce a zařízení spadající pod materiálně-technické zázemí města. Jako další popisuji propagační aktivitu města, hlavně akce (regionální, národní a zahraniční), kterých se město účastní za účelem přilákání potencionálních návštěvníků. Zmiňuji některá doporučení, která by mohly zlepšit povědomí o městě Zlín. Tato práce pro mě měla velký přínos, protože jsem zjistil mnoho zajímavých věcí, které nejsou hned na první pohled občana vidět. Seznámil jsem se blíže se situací týkající se právě odvětví cestovního ruchu. A to je pro mě jako obyvatele města Zlín a studenta oboru ekonomika cestovního ruchu cenným přínosem, protože i přes to, že zde žiji celý svůj život, tak jsem si těchto věcí nevšiml.The main topic of my bachelor thesis is the tourist potential of the town Zlín. I drew it up under the supervision of prof. RNDr. Arnošt Wahla, PhD. My goal was to characterize and evaluate the tourist potential of the city Zlín. Furthermore, I also evaluated a major city attractions and the highlight of his greatest strengths. The theoretical part describes basic procedures for assessing the potential of tourism and its methodology for rating. Then directly mention what attractions can be classified into those categories. The next section describes the history and the present city of Zlin. I describe the basic features of the town of Zlín, which contribute to its development. Also I am presenting the local attractive of cultural-historical type, cultural and sporting events and facilities under the material-technical base of the city. As a further describe the promotional activities of the city, especially the action (regional, national and foreign), which the City participates in order to attract potential visitors. I mention some recommendations that could improve the awareness of the city of Zlin. This works for me was a great benefit, because I found many interesting things, not just at first glance to see for citizen. I became acquainted with the situation more closely related to just the tourism sector. Residential House Nové Pitkovice, building T + S - Building Technology Project

Diplomová práce se zabývá zpracováním stavebně technologického projektu pro stavbu Bytový dům T + S v Praze v Nových Pitkovicích. Hlavní náplní je vypracování technické zprávy k stavebně technologickému projektu, zpracování technologických předpisů pro zateplení a provedení ploché střechy a jejich kontrolních zkušebních plánů. Důležitou částí řešení je projekt zařízení staveniště, návrh hlavních stavebních strojů a časový plán průběhu výstavby.Master's thesis deals with the processing of building technology project for construction of residential house T + S in Praha Nové Pitkovice. Main focus is to develop a technical report on the project of building technology, processing technology and regulations for insulation of flat roof design and inspection test plans. Important part of the solution is the project construction site, design of the main building machines and time schedule during construction.
