Approach to Implementing Health and Environmental Safety System in Construction Projects Using Fuzzy Logic

    Get PDF
The present study's objective is the implementation of the general Health and Safety Executive(HSE) Plan in civil projects; at first, it is required to formulate the Work Breakdown Structure(WBS) in the relevant project with the aim of coming to a proper time plan. In this study, the scope of the implementation of this system includes two items in which the probability and risks of timing projects can come to light. The two substantial items in timing projects are activity and time itself which, in some projects, given the un-clarity of the scope of these two items, one is required to take into consideration the probable and approximate value of such scope with the analysis of the fuzzy expert method. And, one of the methods used for the analysis of the scope of timing probabilities is the use of the practical implications of fuzzy logic in engineering sciences; thus, in the essay at hand, the basic information required for risk assessment, fuzzy logic, the theory of fuzzy numbers, and the method used for analyzing, disintegrating, and composing them, with the purpose of applying them in projects' risk assessment, is presented.Fuzzy logic can be introduced as a powerful and flexible tool for analyzing the scope of risk of projects which is enabled to provide us with the mathematical formulation of the unclear or unspecific parameters and, eventually, represent the analysis and evaluation of data in a numerical format

An analytical approach to obtain exact solutions of some space-time conformable fractional differential equations

    Get PDF
Abstract In this paper, the sine-Gordon expansion method is used to obtain analytical solutions of the conformable space-time generalized reaction Duffing model and conformable space-time Eckhaus equation with the aid of symbolic computation. These equations can be reduced into ordinary differential equations (ODEs) using a suitable wave transformation with a predicted polynomial-type solution

A New Approach for Solving System of Local Fractional Partial Differential Equations

    Get PDF
In this paper, we apply a new method for solving system of partial differential equations within local fractional derivative operators. The approximate analytical solutions are obtained by using the local fractional Laplace variational iteration method, which is the coupling method of local fractional variational iteration method and Laplace transform. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the high accuracy and fast convergence of this new algorithm. The obtained results show that the introduced approach is a promising tool for solving system of linear and nonlinear local fractional differential equations. Furthermore, we show that local fractional Laplace variational iteration method is able to solve a large class of nonlinear problems involving local fractional operators effectively, more easily and accurately; and thus it has been widely applicable in physics and engineering

In this article, the local fractional variational iteration method is proposed to solve nonlinear partial differential equations within local fractional derivative operators. To illustrate the ability and reliability of the method, some examples are illustrated. A comparison between local fractional variational iteration method with the other numerical methods is given, revealing that the proposed method is capable of solving effectively a large number of nonlinear differential equations with high accuracy. In addition, we show that local fractional variational iteration method is able to solve a large class of nonlinear problems involving local fractional operators effectively, more easily and accurately, and thus it has been widely applicable in engineering and physics

Investigating the dimensions, components and key indicators of supply chain management based on digital technologies

    Get PDF
Purpose: Over the past decade, the advent of digital technologies has led to dramatic changes in the nature of business processes, and the introduction of the concept of digital developments has greatly affected various aspects of the business. New digital technologies are being prepared to transform all areas of what we call "traditional business processes." With the help of digital technologies, the speed, accuracy, and precision of processes in various businesses have been dramatically optimized, which has saved time, energy, and resources in organizations and businesses. Methodology: Supply Chain Management (SCM), as the core business priority of any manufacturing company, has placed itself in the focus of business owners. Suppliers, organizations, and supply chain agencies use the information and share it with others while generating information. Findings: In this regard, considering the importance and fundamental role of the supply chain in the organization and business, as well as the important effects that digital technologies can have on it, this paper reviews library dimensions, components, and key indicators of a chain by reviewing the library resources. Supply based on digital technologies. Originality/Value: This study provides a conceptual framework for the digital supply chain that demonstrates the importance of this chain

The present study aims to identify and prioritize the Key Success Factors (KSFs) of Customer clubs and Customer Loyalty programs, in Bank Mellat Iran. The different models of Key Success Factors from previous researchers have been studied, and according to 12 experts of bank Mellat Iran, a model of KSFs of Customer clubs and Customer Loyalty programs in banking industry, has been presented. It’s a combination of previous researches models, including 20 factors affecting the success of Bank Customer clubs and Customer Loyalty program. A questionnaire of 20 success factors have been designed for determining the effect of each factor on the other 19 factors. It has been filled by 12 experts with over 10 years of experience in banking industry. Then, it has been analyzed by Fuzzy DEMATEL method, and the research results has been extracted. This research concluded 20 main key success factors of Customer clubs and Customer Loyalty programs, in Bank Mellat Iran; the 5 fist most important success factors are in order as: 1. the seller's contact assets, 2. price, discounts and free products, 3. Lack of attention to monitoring system and continuous supervision, 4. Quality of customer services, 5. Creating value for customers

Can Livestock Alone Be the Main Source of Income from Rangelands in Poor Countries?

In many countries due to the high population of land holders, there is insufficient range area for each land holder to cover all life expenses. In such places, the income of only livestock in rangelands is not enough to cover living expenses of landholders. The ideas in this paper suggest that researchers should create and explore economic models that incorporate the multiple use concept in rangelands and show how multiple uses are compatible with livestock grazing and to sustain the livelihood of rangeland families

In vitro evaluation of the sealing ability of three newly developed root canal sealers: A bacterial microleakage study

    Get PDF
The purpose of this study was to compare the sealing ability of MTA Fillapex, Apatite Root Canal Sealer and AH26 sealers. The present in vitro study was carried out on 142 extracted single-rooted human mature teeth. The teeth were randomly divided into three experimental groups (n=44) and two control groups (n=5). Three root canal sealers were MTA Fillapex, Apatite Root Canal Sealer and AH26. The teeth in the control groups were either filled with no sealer or made completely impermeable. The root canals were prepared and obturated with gutta-percha and one of the sealers. The teeth were sterilized with ethylene oxide gas prior to the bacterial leakage assessment using Enterococcus faecalis. Leakage was evaluated every 24 hours for 90 days. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistical methods and chi-squared test. If the data were significant, a proper post hoc test was used. Statistical significance was set at P<0.05. The positive control specimens exhibited total bacterial penetration whilst the negative control specimens showed no evidence of bacterial penetration. At the end of the study, the analysis of microleakage with chi-squared test showed no significant differences between the experimental groups (P<0.05). The results of chi-squared test analyzing the pair-wise differences between the groups considering the numerical values for leakage day indicated the lowest leakage with AH26 and the highest with Apatite root sealer. According to the results of the present study, sealing ability of AH26 was significantly higher than that of MTA Fillapex and Apatite Root Canal Sealer

Risky decision-making and the intensity of opioid drug dependency in early phase of methadone maintenance protocol

Several studies show positive effect of MMT on decision-making in substance dependents, but severity of the disorder has been ignored by most of them. This study used Iowa Gambling Task(IGT) to find correlation between severity of the disorders in early phase of MMT and risky decision-making in three groups of subjects (mild, sever, control). The study shows no significant difference among groups in risky decision-making, which might be related to the effect of opioid on cognitive functions independent of the severity of the disorder, and stabilization in MMT can repair deficit in decision making shortly during the early phase
