On the basis of the conducted research the factors of origin of threats were exposed, their gourmet on a degree to influence on economic stability of enterprises and formalization of process of analysis of threats of economic stability of enterprises is considered. In the conditions of market economy it is impossible to manage an enterprise without taking into account influencing of threats, and for the effective management it is important not only to know about their presence, and to identify the concrete threat correctly
Characterisation of a new family of carboxyl esterases with an OsmC domain
Proteins in the serine esterase family are widely distributed in bacterial phyla and display
activity against a range of biologically produced and chemically synthesized esters. A serine
esterase from the psychrophilic bacterium Pseudoalteromonas arctica with a C-terminal
OsmC-like domain was recently characterized; here we report on the identification and characterization
of further putative esterases with OsmC-like domains constituting a new esterase
family that is found in a variety of bacterial species from different environmental niches.
All of these proteins contained the Ser-Asp-His motif common to serine esterases and a
highly conserved pentapeptide nucleophilic elbow motif. We produced these proteins heterologously
in Escherichia coli and demonstrated their activity against a range of esterase
substrates. Two of the esterases characterized have activity of over two orders of magnitude
higher than other members of the family, and are active over a wide temperature
range. We determined the crystal structure of the esterase domain of the protein from Rhodothermus
marinus and show that it conforms to the classical α/β hydrolase fold with an
extended ‘lid’ region, which occludes the active site of the protein in the crystal. The expansion
of characterized members of the esterase family and demonstration of activity over a
wide-range of temperatures could be of use in biotechnological applications such as the
pharmaceutical, detergent, bioremediation and dairy industries
Experience gained in applying IEC 80001-1 principles to a medical IT network supporting a clinical information system.
IEC 80001-1:2010 [1] recognises that medical devices are incorporated into IT-networks to achieve desirable benefits1. The standard defines the roles, responsibilities and activities that are necessary for the risk management of IT-networks incorporating medical devices to address safety, effectiveness and data and system security. It applies throughout the life cycle of IT-networks incorporating medical devices and applies to responsible organizations, medical device manufacturers and providers of other information technology. IEC 80001-1:2010 draws on processes set out in ISO 14971:2007 [2] intended to be used by equipment manufacturers to identify hazards associated with medical devices. It also draws on ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 [3] which specifies the requirements for an IT service provider to meet when implementing an IT service management system
Assessing a Hospital’s Medical IT Network Risk Management Practice with 80001-1
Medical device interoperability has been identified as a key way of decreasing healthcare costs while improving patient care.1 This has lead to a shift toward placing more medical devices onto information technology (IT) networks. However, placing medical devices onto an IT network may lead to additional risks to safety, effectiveness and security of the devices, the network, and the data. ANSI/AAMI/IEC 80001-1 addresses the roles, responsibilities, and activities that need to be carried out when managing these risks. In this article, we describe an exercise undertaken to assess the medical IT network risk management practice implemented
within a hospital to control risk associated with a clinical information system (CIS). The level of compliance with the 80001-1 standard was determined using an assessment framework developed by the Regulated Software Research Centre (RSRC). The purpose of this exercise was to test and inform the development of an assessment method that is part of the assessment framework for this standard. The exercise also sought to identify how the management of such an existing CIS project meets the requirements of 80001-1

Fundamentals of information theory and coding design
In a clear, concise, and modular format, this book introduces the fundamental concepts and mathematics of information and coding theory. The authors emphasize how a code is designed and discuss the main properties and characteristics of different coding algorithms along with strategies for selecting the appropriate codes to meet specific requirements. They provide comprehensive coverage of source and channel coding, address arithmetic, BCH, and Reed-Solomon codes and explore some more advanced topics such as PPM compression and turbo codes. Worked examples and sets of basic and advanced exercises in each chapter reinforce the text's clear explanations of all concepts and methodologies
