An Rb-condensin II complex mediates long-range chromosome interactions and influences expression at divergently paired genes

    Get PDF
Interphase chromosomes are organized into topologically associated domains in order to establish and maintain integrity of transcriptional programs that remain poorly understood. Here, we show that condensin II and TFIIIC are recruited to bidirectionally transcribed promoters by a mechanism that is dependent on the retinoblastoma (RB) protein. Long-range chromosome contacts are disrupted by loss of condensin II loading, which leads to altered expression at bidirectional gene pairs. This study demonstrates that mammalian condensin II functions to organize long-range chromosome contacts and regulate transcription at specific genes. In addition, RB dependence of condensin II suggests that widespread misregulation of chromosome contacts and transcriptional alterations are a consequence of RB mutation

Perencanaan Kebutuhan Kapasitas (Rough Cut Capacity Planning) Industri Pengolahan Peralatan Rumah Tangga di PT. X

A Theoretical Construction of Thin Shell Wormhole from Tidal Charged Black hole

Recently, Dadhich et al [ Phys.Lett.B 487, 1 (2000)] have discovered a black hole solution localized on a three brane in five dimensional gravity in the Randall-Sundrum scenario. In this article, we develop a new class of thin shell wormhole by surgically grafting above two black hole spacetimes. Various aspects of this thin wormhole are also analyzed.Comment: 14 pages, 6 figures, Accepted in Gen.Rel.Gra

Estimating Model Forecasting the Price of Chicken Eggs In the City of Bengkulu

    Get PDF
The demand for eggs is always high, but the availability of goods is often not balanced with the availability of products on the market. The imbalance between the demand for eggs and the supply makes the price unstable. Chicken eggs are a food commodity that has variable price fluctuations. . Therefore an estimate of future prices is required. Various models can be used as a method of forecasting egg prices. The study was conducted to determine and test the best forecasting model for the retail price of eggs in Bengkulu City. The retail selling value of chicken eggs in the capital city of Bengkulu Province from early 2010 to May 2020 was used as the main variable to be analyzed. ima price forecasting model used to determine the best model based on the lowest MAD, MSE and MAPE values. The results showed that the best model for predicting the retail price of eggs in Bengkulu City is the ARIMA model because it has the smallest MAPE, MAD and MSE values compared to other models.   &nbsp

The bonded macro fiber composite (MFC) and woven kenaf effect analyses on the micro energy harvester performance of kenaf plate using modal testing and Taguchi method

The demand on wind energy application will continue to increase as fossil fuel prices keep increasing and the reservoir keeps decreasing. In wind energy, wind turbine application should be properly selected. The material selection for turbine blade fabrication is highlighted as well in recent research. For green material application, the usage of natural fiber reinforced composite, especially kenaf fiber, in the fabrication of wind turbines needs to be given due attention. Woven and unwoven kenaf fiber is employed to fabricate composite plates which replicate the simple turbine blade model. At the same time, Macro Fiber Composite (MFC) is attached to the kenaf plates for micro energy harvester purposes. There are two methods to attach the MFC used in this study which are surface bonded and embedding into the plate. In order to investigate the effects of bonding MFC technique, modal Testing analysis and Taguchi method is employed. It is found out that the damping percentage of both woven and unwoven kenaf plates increase at 100 % and 50 % respectively when bonded with MFC on their surfaces. Bonded technique is suggested as the most influenced factor in micro energy harvesting at the vibration range of 20 to 60 Hz. It summarized that, the kenaf woven type, the distance from structure neutral axis, the stiffness of structure, the excitation vibration and the neutral frequency of a structure are highlighted as the factors influencing the performance of micro energy harvester as well

Aerodynamic characteristics of a cranked planform blended wing-body aircraft with 40° sweep angle

Baseline 7 Blended Wing-Body design is introduced to study the behaviour of the control surfaces, given four elevons without vertical stabilizer and wingtip. The objective of the paper is to obtain an aerodynamic characteristic of a cranked planform blended wing-body aircraft. The airfoil used for the entire body is NACA 2412, which is selected for ease of fabrication process. The wingspan of the model is 1.4 m with 0.2 m thickness. The sweep angle of the model is fixed to 40°. The wingspan area is calculated at 0.405 m2. The experiment is conducted at UTM-LST Wind Tunnel, AEROLAB, Skudai, Johor with test wind speed of 15 m/s. The maximum lift-to-drag ratio for the model is found to be around 21.9, which is better than many conventional aircraft. Nonetheless, the parabolic regression made to the drag versus lift plot only yields maximum lift-to-drag ratio of 10.0. The value of drag coefficient at zero lift is 0.012 while the maximum lift coefficient found is at 0.65 at 15° angle of attack. The lift-to-drag ratio improves 38.3% from 15.9 in the previously-published design. The neutral point is found to be located at 30.6% of the mean geometric chord in front of the wind tunnel model reference center or about 0.398 m from the nose of the 0.63 m long aircraft model or at 63.1% of aircraft length from the nose

All static spherically symmetric perfect fluid solutions of Einstein's Equations

An algorithm based on the choice of a single monotone function (subject to boundary conditions) is presented which generates all regular static spherically symmetric perfect fluid solutions of Einstein's equations. For physically relevant solutions the generating functions must be restricted by non-trivial integral-differential inequalities. Nonetheless, the algorithm is demonstrated here by the construction of an infinite number of previously unknown physically interesting exact solutions.Comment: Final form to appear in Phys Rev D.
