    Spherically Symmetric Gravitational Collapse

    In this paper, we discuss gravitational collapse of spherically symmetric spacetimes. We derive a general formalism by taking two arbitrary spherically symmetric spacetimes with g00=1g_{00}=1. Israel's junction conditions are used to develop this formalism. The formulae for extrinsic curvature tensor are obtained. The general form of the surface energy-momentum tensor depending on extrinsic curvature tensor components is derived. This leads us to the surface energy density and the tangential pressure. The formalism is applied to two known spherically symmetric spacetimes. The results obtained show the regions for the collapse and expansion of the shell.Comment: 12 pages, 4 figures, accepted for publication in Mod. Phys. Lett.

    The Refined Topological Vertex

    We define a refined topological vertex which depends in addition on a parameter, which physically corresponds to extending the self-dual graviphoton field strength to a more general configuration. Using this refined topological vertex we compute, using geometric engineering, a two-parameter (equivariant) instanton expansion of gauge theories which reproduce the results of Nekrasov.     Carbon Nanotube Reinforced High Density Polyethylene Materials for Offshore Sheathing Applications

    Multiwall carbon nanotube (CNT)-filled high density polyethylene (HDPE) nanocomposites were prepared by extrusion and considered for their suitability in the offshore sheathing applications. Transmission electron microscopy was conducted to analyse dispersion after bulk extrusion. Monolithic and nanocomposite samples were subjected to accelerated weathering and photodegradation (carbonyl and vinyl indices) characterisations, which consisted of heat, moisture (seawater) and UV light, intended to imitate the offshore conditions. The effects of accelerated weathering on mechanical properties (tensile strength and elastic modulus) of the nanocomposites were analysed. CNT addition in HDPE produced environmentally resilient nanocomposites with improved mechanical properties. The energy utilised to extrude nanocomposites was also less than the energy used to extrude monolithic HDPE samples. The results support the mass substitution of CNT-filled HDPE nanocomposites in high-end offshore applications

    This study aims to develop a geographic information system software that has the ability to develop hazard area zoning of building damage due to earthquake, especially in Banda Aceh and the surrounding areas using peak ground acceleration (PGA) value approach. Analysis and design methods are implemented in this study. The analytical method consists of two stages, namely seismic data collection period 1973 - 2011 by magnitude more than 5 on the Richter scale and the calculation of earthquake acceleration on bedrock using the attenuation function of Crouse. The design method comprises several structured stages, which are designing: data flow diagram (DFD), entity relationship diagram (ERD), menus, screens, and state transition diagrams (STD). The main conclusions of this study is that a GIS -based local zoning of earthquake hazard risk can be built and developed with calculation and classification approach of the peak ground acceleration (PGA). In addition, there is a relationship significant spatial found by comparing the results with the zoning patterns of building damage in the earthquake of 2004

    Effect of various nutrient combinations on growth and body composition of rohu (Labeo rohita)

    A total of 80 Labeo rohita fingerlings (mean body weight, 14.7 ± 0.08 g and length, 11.0 ± 0.16 cm) were randomly distributed into four treatments with 20 replicates each, for 60 days, to determine the effect of different feed compositions on the growth and body composition of L. rohita. Four isoenergetic (17.05 ± 0.24 kJ g-1) experimental diet viz., control (C), protein rich (PR), fat rich (FR) and carbohydrate rich (CR) were formulated. The proximate composition protein/fat/carbohydrate (P/F/C) of formulated feed were C: P35/F8/C2, PR: P40/F8/C2, FR: P35/F10/C2 and CR: P35/F8/C5. The daily ration size was 5% of fish body weight. The result reveals a highly significant (P≀0.001) difference in specific growth rate (SGR), weight gain (WG) and protein efficiency (PE) among four feeding groups, while differences were significant for feed conversion ratio (FCR). FR showed maximum growth together with high body fat, CR showed low body fat and high proteins. Results indicate that increasing fat up to 9% in diet showed better growth as compared to increasing dietary protein and carbohydratesKey words: Labeo rohita, diet composition, specific growth rate, protein efficiency, body composition

    Context aware ontology‐based hybrid intelligent framework for vehicle driver categorization

    In public vehicles, one of the major concerns is driver's level of expertise for its direct proportionality to safety of passengers. Hence, before a driver is subjected to certain type of vehicle, he should be thoroughly evaluated and categorized with respect to certain parameters instead of only one‐time metric of having driving license. These aspects may be driver's expertise, vigilance, aptitude, experience years, cognition, driving style, formal education, terrain, region, minor violations, major accidents, and age group. The purpose of this categorization is to ascertain suitability of a driver for certain vehicle type(s) to ensure passengers' safety. Currently, no driver categorization technique fully comprehends the implicit as well as explicit characteristics of drivers dynamically. In this paper, machine learning–based dynamic and adaptive technique named D‐CHAITs (driver categorization through hybrid of artificial intelligence techniques) is proposed for driver categorization with an objective focus on driver's attributes modeled in DriverOntology. A supervised mode of learning has been employed on a labeled dataset, having diverse profiles of drivers with attributes pertinent to drivers' perspectives of demographics, behaviors, expertise, and inclinations. A comparative analysis of D‐CHAIT with three other machine learning techniques (fuzzy logic, case‐based reasoning, and artificial neural networks) is also presented. The efficacy of all techniques was empirically measured while categorizing the drivers based on their profiles through metrics of accuracy, precision, recall, F‐measure performance, and associated costs. These empirical quantifications assert D‐CHAIT as a better technique than contemporary ones.     The research aims to analyze of economic growth rate, locally-generated revenue, government size, capital expenditure and population to the weakness of internal control. Object of this research areRiau and Sumatera Barat Province. That data are analyzed by linear regression method and SPSS program version 19. The variables were examined economic growth rate, locally-generated revenue, government size, capital expenditure and population to the weakness of internal control. The results of this research showedeconomic growth rate has an effect tothe weakness of internal control with 0,048 significance, locally-generated revenuehas an effect tothe weakness of internal control with 0,012 significance, government sizehas an effect tothe weakness of internal controlwith 0,009 significance, capital expenditure has no effect tothe weakness of internal control with 0,607 significance and population has an effect tothe weakness of internal control with 0,037 significance The results of this research also showed that coefficient R square is 81,9%. Each independent variables, gives the strong influence to dependent variable, it means independents variables could explain dependent variable well. While the remaining influenced by other variables not included in the regression models were not included in this study. All variables also have strong relation with variable dependents in this research

Dalam tiga tahun yang lalu tarawangsa kehilangan regenerasi dan dikhawatirkan kehilangan eksistensinya . Penelitian ini berfokus pada saat prosesi pertunjukan pada bulan mulud , pelatihan dan peran serta generasi muda Rancakalo ng terhadap kesenian tarawangsa. dan untuk mengetahui proses pewarisan seni tarawangsa yang dilakukan oleh sanggar tarawangsa Sunda Lugina pimpinan b apak Pupung Supena . Tarawangsa sebagai karya intelektual seni musi k khas Rancakalong pada khusunya dan Sumedang pada umumnya , memberikan andil mengangkat nilai s eni budaya Sumedang, t arawangsa oleh sebagian pengama t seni kabupaten Sumedang dianggap sebagai musik identitas dan jati diri Kota Tahu tersebut . Beragamnya seni t arawangsa yang terus berubah dan berkembang di masyarakat luas, dikhawatirkan mengurangi fungsi identitas, serta mengalami perubahan bentuk yang akhirnya bukan mustahil akan semakin jauh dan kehilangan bentuk aslinya. D alam skripsi ini membahas tentang proses yang dilakukan bapak Pupung di sanggar Sunda Lugina untuk mewariskan seni tradisi kepada generasi muda Rancakalong . Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, metode yang digunakan pada peneliti an ini adalah metode etnografi . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa proses yang dilakukan oleh bapak Pupung di sanggar Sunda Lugina untuk mewariskan kesenian t arawangsa terhadap generasi muda Rancakalong , meliputi tiga point diantar anya : 1) Merutinkan latihan t arawangsa kepada generasi muda di sanggarnya , 2 ) Mendirikan sanggar untuk menjadikan tempat pertunj ukan, pelatihan pada generasi muda Rancakalong 3) Mengajak atau mengikut sertakan generasi muda dalam pertunjukan seni t arawangsa saat hajatan
