    Abstrak Adonara island community in east Flores of East Nusa Tenggara has one of traditional dance called ā€œTenarere Danceā€. Tenarere dance is a term of traditional dance, which is always performed by the ladies dancer, adults as well as children. This dance is considered as a ā€œSacredā€ as it has a strong related with ā€œKnirek Wuun Matanā€ (this ceremony which is always done by a group of ladies dancer to renewing relationship among their family which symbolized by purifying the new plants is ā€œCornā€). Tenarere Dance is aimed to name the dance, which is telling about ancestorā€™s trip by boats from Seran Goran of Maluku to Adonara Island, East Flores. Tenarere dance is only owned and performed at Redontena village, Adonara island-East Flores. The traditions of Tenarere is still kept everlasting by the community as the consider that it has culture value that can be bequeathed to the young generation

    This study is aimed to show search for existence in The Nanny Diaries movie by using existentialist approach. It is done by establishing two objectives: the first is analyzing the movie based on its structural elements and the second is analyzing the movie based on the existentialist approach. This research is qualitative research. Type of data of the study is text and image taken from two data sources: primary and secondary. The primary data source is The Nanny Diaries movie directed by Shari Springer Berman released in 2007. while secondary data sources are other materials taken from books, journals, and internet related to the study. Both data are collected through library research and analyzed by descriptive analysis. The study comes to the following conclusions. First, based on the structural analysis of each element, it shows that the character and characterization, casting, plot, setting, point of view, theme, mise en scene, cinematography, sounds and editing are related to each other and form the unity into good quality of a movie.     Practicum Teaching has never been easy for most students. They have to undergo many courses before having the real practicum teaching. Balancing between the performance and competence finally is not totally a piece of cake in terms of real teaching. Lacks of skill in designing lesson plans, creating teaching material and managing classroom are occasionally become e great obstacle for pre-service teachers. And what makes it worse is they do not know well about the implementation of K-13 in teaching English in high schools. As a new implemented curriculum, pre-service teachers should struggle to apply this curriculum well in their teaching. This study investigates teachersā€Ÿ voices over K-13 and what strategies or approaches that teachers of English do to develop the quality of instruction in the classroom. Findings showed that mostly teachers of English are very welcome in implementing K-13 but in some conditions (for government to notice) , such as providing more trainings and bridging courses for teachers especially in suburbs, adding more free text books for unprivileged students, and so on

    Apakah itu tata bahasa? Apakah kita perlu belajar tata bahasa untuk mempelajari suatu bahasa? Mengapa kita harus mengajarkan tata bahasa? Pertanyaan-pertanyaan tersebut sering sekali dipertanyakan oleh guru dan siswa dalam mempelajari tata bahasa dalam bahasa Inggris. Pengajaran tata bahasa selalu menjadi kontroversial dan dianggap aspek yang paling sulit dipahami. Melalui artikel ini saya mencoba memaparkan sedikit analisis saya tentang dua buku tata bahasa yang akhirnya mengubah pola fikir saya tentang pengajaran dan pembelajaran tata bahasa. Saya sadar sepenuhnya saya tidaklah pantas untuk memberi penilaian dan mengevaluasi buku-buku yang sangat istimewa ini, tapi setidaknya saya hanya mencoba menyampaikan sedikit pendapat tentang buku-buku tata bahasa yang saya baca dan pelajari saat mengikuti mata kuliah Modern English Grammar. Semoga tulisan sederhana ini akan lambat laun mengubah pola fikir dan kebiasaan mahasiswa terutama mahasiswa Tadris Bahasa Inggris dalam mempelajari tata bahasa dalam bahasa Inggris

    Peningkatan Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Menggunakan Model Number Heads Together pada Materi Hidrolisis

    This research aims to improve student's activity and student's achievement on material the hydrolysis of salts to the class XI B IPA Putri Madrasah Aliyah Darul Ulum (MA) through the learning model Number Heads Together (NHT). The method of this research was classroom action research (PTK). The subject of this research was the students of XI B IPA Putri Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Darul Ulum which consisted of 22 students. The instruments used in this research were the observation sheet and learning achievement test. The results showed that the application of the learning model Number Heads Together (NHT) can increase the percentage of students with learning activities of 53.97% in cycle 1 becomes 70.73% in cycle II. The results of the study showed an increase in the percentage of students from 45.45% in cycle 1 becomes 77.27% in cycle II. The increase in activities that occur from cycle 1 to cycle II of 16.76% and improved learning achivement that occur from cycle 1 to cycle II of 31,82%

    The anxiety appeared during the process of reading foreign language texts is called as reading anxiety. However, most of the research focuses on the discussion of listening, speaking, and writing. Little attention has been paid to reading. Therefore, the present study attempts to fill the hidden empty space and explore the role of anxiety in foreign language reading. In this research the writer used the correlation statistical test to describe and measure the degree of relationship between two variables. So, in conducting this research, statistical number to correlate two variable of this research is needed, they are studentsā€™ reading anxiety and their reading comprehension. The main goal of the study is to find out whether or not there is a positive correlation between studentsā€™ reading anxiety and their reading comprehension of the third grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Pangkalpinang in the academic year 2016/2017

    PENERAPAN METODE DEMONSTRASI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SENI BUDAYA MATERI SENI PATUNG

    Abstrak: Penelitian ini memiliki 2 (dua) tujuan yakni: 1) menerapkan metode pembelajaran Demonstrasi pada pembelajaran Seni Budaya materi seni patung pada siswa kelas IXA di SMPN 4 Probolinggo dan 2) meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa setelah menggunakan metode pembelajaran Demonstrasi pada pembelajaran Seni Budaya materi seni patung pada siswa kelas IXA di SMPN 4 Probolinggo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research). Hasil test pada siklus 2 ini mencapai 30 siswa yang tuntas atau 100%. Rata-rata nilai test mencapai 82. Jika dibandingkan dengan hasil test pada siklus I maka jumlah siswa yang tuntas mengalami peningkatan sebesar 100%. Nilai rata-rata test mengalami peningkatan dari 73 menjadi 82 atau meningkat sebesar 12,33%. Hasil pengamatan belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan secara keseluruhan dari 3,5 (siklus I) menjadi 4,2 (siklus II), atau meningkat 17,61%. Dalam pembelajaran Seni Budaya, motivasi siswa dari siklus I dan siklus II telah mengalami peningkatan. Motivasi telah mampu menggerakkan mental dan perilaku siswa dalam proses belajar Seni Budaya terutama Seni Patung yang menggunakan metode Demonstrasi.Ā
