We compute the first cohomology of the ortosymplectic Lie superalgebra osp(1∣2)\mathfrak{osp}(1|2) on the (1,1)-dimensional real superspace with coefficients in the superspace Dλ,Îœ;ÎŒ\frak{D}_{\lambda,\nu;\mu} of bilinear differential operators acting on weighted densities. This work is the simplest superization of a result by Bouarroudj [Cohomology of the vector fields Lie algebras on RP1\mathbb{R}\mathbb{P}^1 acting on bilinear differential operators, International Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics (2005), {\bf 2}; N 1, 23-40]

Conditions for the Palladium-Catalysed Direct 2-Arylation of 3-Bromobenzo[b]thiophene Tolerant of the Benzothienyl Carbon-Bromine Bond

    No full text
International audiencePhosphine-free palladium(II) acetate catalyst was found to promote the direct 2-arylation of 3-bromobenzo[b]thiophene without cleavage of the benzothienyl carbon-bromine bond, allowing the synthesis of 2-aryl-3-bromobenzo[b]thiophenes in only one step. The best results were generally obtained using a low loading of the palladium catalyst (0.5 mol%), quite low reaction temps. (80-120 °C) and short reaction times (0.5-2 h). The reaction proceeds with electron-deficient para-, meta- and ortho-substituted aryl bromides and also with heteroaryl bromides. The benzothienyl carbon-bromine bond has been profitably employed for further palladium-catalyzed functionalisations. This strategy allows the straightforward synthesis of 2,3-di(hetero)arylated benzo[b]thiophenes with two different (hetero)aryl units via sequential catalytic arylations

Background: Previous studies demonstrated that the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) was being implicated in the airways inflammation and remodeling process in patients with asthma.Aims: We explored the relationship of three polymorphisms in the VEGF gene with asthma in both case control and family studies. Methods: We Genotyped a total of 210 children with asthma, 224 unrelated controls and 160 parents for the +936 C > T (rs3025039), −634 G > C (rs2010963) and −2549 –2567 del 18 of the VEGF promoter region. The Mutations were identified with polymerase chain reaction followed by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis for the +936 C > T, and −634 G > C polymorphisms. Results: Of the three polymorphisms studied, a borderline association with asthma was found for the G allele in the −634 G > C polymorphism (p = 0.059). No Statistically significant differences were observed for both +936 C > T, and −2549 –2567 del 18 polymorphisms between asthmatic patients and controls, considering either allelic or genotypic frequencies. The distribution of genotypes according to the severity status revealed a significant differences for the +936 C > T, and −2549 –2567 del 18 polymorphisms. In addition, association was found with the haplotypes inferred by the three polymorphisms and asthma susceptibility. Conclusion: We suggest that VEGF Gene polymorphisms can be implicated in asthma

This article presents the results of the 2-year iroboapp research project that aims at devising path planning algorithms for large grid maps with much faster execution times while tolerating very small slacks with respect to the optimal path. We investigated both exact and heuristic methods. We contributed with the design, analysis, evaluation, implementation and experimentation of several algorithms for grid map path planning for both exact and heuristic methods. We also designed an innovative algorithm called relaxed A-star that has linear complexity with relaxed constraints, which provides near-optimal solutions with an extremely reduced execution time as compared to A-star. We evaluated the performance of the different algorithms and concluded that relaxed A-star is the best path planner as it provides a good trade-off among all the metrics, but we noticed that heuristic methods have good features that can be exploited to improve the solution of the relaxed exact method. This led us to design new hybrid algorithms that combine our relaxed A-star with heuristic methods which improve the solution quality of relaxed A-star at the cost of slightly higher execution time, while remaining much faster than A* for large-scale problems. Finally, we demonstrate how to integrate the relaxed A-star algorithm in the robot operating system as a global path planner and show that it outperforms its default path planner with an execution time 38% faster on average.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

The effect of a daytime 60-min nap opportunity on postural control in highly active individuals

Although napping is commonly used as a strategy to improve numerous physical and cognitive performances, the efficacy of this strategy for improving postural balance has not yet been elucidated. Thus, the aim of this study was to conduct a comprehensive examination of the effect of a 60 min nap opportunity (N60) on different components of postural control. Ten highly active individuals (age = 27 ± 3.5 y, height = 1.75 ± 0.52 m, weight = 66.02 ± 8.63 kg) performed, in a randomized order, two afternoon test sessions following no nap (NN) and N60. Postural balance was assessed using the sensory organisation test (SOT), the unilateral stance test (UST), and the limits of Stability Test performed on NeuroCom(Ÿ) Smart Balance Master. The subjective rating of sleepiness before and after the nap conditions was also assessed. Compared to NN, N60 improved the composite balance score (p 0.05). Overall, a 60 min post lunch nap opportunity may be viable for improving static balance, although further work, involving larger samples and more complex motor activities, is warranted
