The ability of machine tools to produce a product of good quality is needed by the industrial industry that exists today. Industrial industries that use machine tools are not only industries that produce products in the form of a tool or machine, machine tools are also widely used by industries or institutions that serve machine repair and providers of skills training. The quality of the machine measured using the geometry of the workpiece resulting from the machining process can be in the form of roundness, cylindrecity, tapers and other geometric shapes. The use of machine tools that continue for several years can result in a decrease in the ability of the machine to produce a product. The use of a long horizontal doall lt13 lathe will produce a form of workpiece cylindricity that is not the same as the condition of the the new machine tools, therefore testing activities are carried out by cutting the machine and seeing what the cylindrical value of the specimen is capable of achieving . From the results of the testing that has been carried out on a horizontal lathe as many as eight units, the values of cylindrical difference are different for each machine. The highest value of cylindricity is produced by lathes with machine number 8 and the smallest cylindrical value produced by lathes with machine number 3. The greatest tolerance is achieved in the quality of IT (International tolerance) 11 tolerance and the lowest is achieved in IT tolerance quality 10

Environmental effects on polymeric matrix composites

Current epoxy resins utilized in high performance structural composites absorb moisture from high humidity environments. Such moisture absorption causes plasticization of the resin to occur with concurrent swelling and lowering of the glass transition temperature. Similar effects are observed in composites. Data are presented showing the effects of absorbed moisture on Hercules AS/3501-5 graphite/epoxy composites. Pengembangan Bola Karet Alat Pengukur Kekuatan Otot Tangan

This study aims to test the right rubber ball for measuring hand muscle strength. This research method was carried out using a quasi-experimental design. The results showed that the value of count (Pearson Product Moment Correlation) > r-table was 0.176. The reliability test results on the three right and left-hand measuring instruments were > 0.6 with a Cronbah's Alpha value of 0.920 > 0.6. In conclusion, testing the validity and reliability of rubber balls on muscle strength measuring devices with sizes of 7 cm, 8 cm, and 9 cm, which was carried out involving 130 respondents, showed valid and statistically reliable results.   Keywords: Rubber ball, Hand Muscle Strength, Clinical Assessmen

The use of high quality machines should be supported by the ability to operate and the ability to perform maintenance, this ability is useful to maintain the condition of the machine in order to produce good quality workpieces. Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung has several high quality machine tools, one type of machine tools usually use is lathe machine doall LT13 with total have six units. this machine Used to support education and to produce spare parts. Doall LT13 lathes have been used for 22 years, during that period there may be deviation of machine geometry, deviations that occur can lead to decreased quality of the resulting workpiece. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the machine by measuring the roundness of the spicemen of the process of turning, the roundness of the specimen is analyzed by using the minimum circle method. From the roundness testing performed on the doall lt 13 the result� that can be achieved as follows 0,082 mm at lathe number 8, 0,073 mm at lathe number 5, 0,057 mm at lathe number 7, 0,051 mm at lathe� number 2, 0,048 mm at lathe number 6 and 0,046 mm at lathe number 3

The Impact of a Mental Health Court on Participants: The Professional’s Perspective

People with mental illness do not receive the services they need while incarcerated. This leads to a revolving door where mentally ill inmates are released from custody no better off than they were when they went in and they frequently reoffend, putting them back in the criminal justice system. One alternative to the traditional criminal courts is mental health courts, diversion programs that steer offenders away from incarceration. They seek to reduce recidivism by connecting mentally ill offenders with community services and bettering the lives of the participants. This research examined one specific mental health court. Interviews were conducted with various professionals working at the court to determine the impact of this program on participants. There were many major findings from this research. First, the professionals felt there were many benefits for participants that come from participation in the mental health court. Second, the professionals felt the community benefited from increased safety and reduced recidivism. Third, the professionals thought that the biggest challenge for participants in the mental health court was the amount of work involved in participation. Finally, the professionals felt that the mental health court would benefit from increased resources

Usluge medicine rada i održavanje radne sposobnosti na radnome mjestu

This paper describe the concept of maintenance of work ability (MWA) at workplaces and the contribution of occupational health services (OHS). Changing working life and its demands increase the need for MWA. The concept of MWA is approximately ten years old in Finland. It has attained large popularity in media and is a central trend in the promotion of well–being at workplaces. It has received wide approval in politics and labour market as one of the main topics of internal policies. The maintenance of work ability has become the main service of occupational health. The activities of MWA are increasing. It is considered profitable and it has many positive effects at workplaces, but has not yet been established properly as a part of everyday work processes. Occupational health services play a significant role in different phases of MWA process, but it should be more significant, especially in small workplaces. More trust, communication and collaboration are needed.U ovome se radu opisuje koncepcija održavanja radne sposobnosti (ORS) na radnome mjestu i doprinos medicine rada tomu. Promjene tijekom radnoga vijeka, a posebno promjene u zahtjevima radnoga mjesta sve više traže primjenu strategije ORS–a. Ova se koncepcija u Finskoj primjenjuje desetak godina i postala je medijski veoma popularna. Njezina je primjena sa svrhom poboljšanja uvjeta na radnome mjestu ključna. Strategija ORS–a konsenzusno je prihvaćena i u političkom okružju i na tržištu rada kao jedno od glavnih pitanja unutrašnje politike. Ona je postala i glavnom uslugom medicine rada. Sve su intenzivnije djelatnosti povezane s ORS–om, budući da se smatra isplativim i da povoljno utječe na rad. Ipak, ova strategija još nije potpuno prihvaćena kao dio svakodnevice. Premda medicina rada ima važnu ulogu u provođenju različitih faza procesa primjene strategije ORS–a, njezina je prisutnost još potrebnija, a posebno u organizacijama s malim brojem radnih mjesta. Valja pridobiti više povjerenja i ostvariti bolju izmjenu informacija i suradnju među stranama
