Generating TV summaries for CE-devices
Automatically generated summaries of TV content are indispensable for content selection and navigation in CE-devices. We show two types of summaries: Short video trailers and visual overviews consisting of representative frames. The demo does not only show the feasibility of the proposed algorithms, but also shows how different types of generated summaries can be used in future CE-devices

La différenciation gustative est une voie possible de segmentation. L\u27étude a porté sur la variabilité des critères sensoriels dans le matériel végétal. Trente-trois varié - tés des types Nantais, Imperator, Flakkee, de carottes de couleur et de ressources génétiques ont été caractérisées en analyse sensorielle descriptive quantitative et par des mesures physico-chimiques. Des différences significatives pour tous les critères existent et permettent de regrouper les variétés sur la base de leurs caractéristiques sensorielles. Texture, saveur et arôme contribuent à la typicité de la carotte ; l\u27arôme global est corrélé aux perceptions d\u27amer, de piquant et d\u27arôme chimique. La mesure des sucres ne permet pas d\u27évaluer la perception en bouche du sucre du fait de l\u27influence du potentiel d\u27amertume

We derive two-sided bounds for moments of linear combinations of coordinates
od unconditional log-concave vectors. We also investigate how well moments of

Testing the Rule with Exclusive Semi-Leptonic Kaon Decays
We consider the possibility of violations of the selection rule at an appreciable level in {\it exclusive} semi-leptonic decays of
Kaons. At -Factories, intense Kaon beams will be available and will probe
among others, the semi-leptonic decays and in addition
to and could provide novel testing grounds for the
rule. In particular, the branching ratio of is non-negligible
and could be used to probe new phenomena associated with the violation of this
selection rule. Furthermore, we modify certain di-lepton event rate ratios and
asymmetries and time asymmetries that have been constructed by Dass and Sarma
for di-lepton events from Beon decays to test the at the
, to the Kaon system at the . We find that the large
width of the relative to that of plays an important role in

Particle Currents in a Space-Time dependent and CP-violating Higgs Background: a Field Theory Approach
Motivated by cosmological applications like electroweak baryogenesis, we
develop a field theoretic approach to the computation of particle currents on a
space-time dependent and CP-violating Higgs background. We consider the
Standard Model model with two Higgs doublets and CP violation in the scalar
sector, and compute both fermionic and Higgs currents by means of an expansion
in the background fields. We discuss the gauge dependence of the results and
the renormalization of the current operators, showing that in the limit of
local equilibrium, no extra renormalization conditions are needed in order to

Hydrodynamic Detonation Instability in Electroweak and QCD Phase Transitions
The hydrodynamic stability of deflagration and detonation bubbles for a first
order electroweak and QCD phase transition has been discussed recently with the
suggestion that detonations are stable. We examine here the case of a
detonation more carefully. We find that in front of the bubble wall
perturbations do not grow with time, but behind the wall modes exist which grow

Generic Fibrational Induction
This paper provides an induction rule that can be used to prove properties of
data structures whose types are inductive, i.e., are carriers of initial
algebras of functors. Our results are semantic in nature and are inspired by
Hermida and Jacobs' elegant algebraic formulation of induction for polynomial
data types. Our contribution is to derive, under slightly different
assumptions, a sound induction rule that is generic over all inductive types,
polynomial or not. Our induction rule is generic over the kinds of properties
to be proved as well: like Hermida and Jacobs, we work in a general fibrational
setting and so can accommodate very general notions of properties on inductive
types rather than just those of a particular syntactic form. We establish the
soundness of our generic induction rule by reducing induction to iteration. We
then show how our generic induction rule can be instantiated to give induction
rules for the data types of rose trees, finite hereditary sets, and
hyperfunctions. The first of these lies outside the scope of Hermida and
Jacobs' work because it is not polynomial, and as far as we are aware, no
induction rules have been known to exist for the second and third in a general
fibrational framework. Our instantiation for hyperfunctions underscores the
value of working in the general fibrational setting since this data type cannot

Magnetic Fields Produced by Phase Transition Bubbles in the Electroweak Phase Transition
The electroweak phase transition, if proceeding through nucleation and growth
of bubbles, should generate large scale turbulent flow, which in turn generates
magnetic turbulence and hence magnetic fields on the scale of turbulent flow.
We discuss the seeding of this turbulent field by the motion of the dipole
charge layers in the phase transition bubble walls, and estimate the strength
