Communication in a Process of Change
This graduation theses focuses on communication in the process of temporary change oriented on the workload of staff working in the selected branch of the Czech Post. The main goal is evaluate the effectiveness of communication in a selected company in the process and determinate whether and how employees are informed about the essence change also its implementation and consenquences.
Questionnare research find out certain faults in the area of informing employees about prepared change. There are concrete recommendations how solve similar problems during next changes.115 - Katedra managementuvýborn
Temporal characteristics of tone units in the speech of professional speakers
This thesis deals with temporal characteristics of tone units in read speeches of professional speakers. The main goal of the research is to follow variability of the articulation rate (AR) within tone units. Thus, the domain where we investigate AR is the tone unit and we also deal with the general articulation rate. Read narrations in Czech in wildlife documentaries represented the studied material. To verify the statistical significance, we used the linear mixed effects model and the ANOVA test. The results of the measurement of the general average articulation rate within the narrations showed that the values of one speaker were significantly different from those of the other speakers. Interpersonal variability was also proved by the ANOVA tests and intrapersonal variability was also evidenced. The average AR values with regard to linear segmentation proved to be relatively uniform. Statistical verifications did not prove any statistical significance either. In our analyses of tone units, we investigated whether AR was influenced by the size of tone units in prosodic words, further by the position of the prosodic word in the tone unit, and what were the directions of AR changes inside the unit. Statistical tests were used to verify the significance of the impact of the tone unit size as well as..
Nurse Work Management in Septic Orthopedics
Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the work management of the nurse in septic orthopaedics from the point of view of the nurse and patient as the recipient of care. Since the operative medicine goes generally very fast ahead and surgeries are performed in different terrain, often in infected or potentially infected areas, the surgical wound can be infected by microorganisms from outside or inside. Therefore, it is essential that nurses working with such patients should know the management of the work on the patient with infectious complications. The aim of the work is to map the management of the nurse's work in septic orthopaedics. To achieve this, 3 hypotheses and 4 research questions were set. To achieve the aim, quantitative research was used in the form of questionnaires for nurses who encounter patients with septic diagnosis or complications in their work. 365 questionnaires were included in the research. The qualitative research was conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with 9 participants who met the inclusion criteria. It can be said that although septic orthopaedic patients come in contact with nurses in all types of hospitals across the republic, it cannot be said that there is a single model in the provision of care. The truth is that the provision of care depends on the education, the length of the nurse's practice, but also on the type of hospital where the patient is hospitalized. A qualitative research survey found that the most important factor for patients is not the way of providing care, but the human approach to them, communication with them and the time that the staff is willing to devote to them. A happier patient is the one to whom the staff is dedicated. In conclusion, we would like to say that septic orthopaedics from the perspective of the nurse work management is under-discussed and it would be advisable to change this
Management of nursing care for MRSA patient
ObhájenoThis work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part we deal with the issue of staphylococcal diseases, MRSA infections, management of patient care for isolation, communication and education and of course health care infections. The practical part is devoted to the research on this issue in which was found that patients complain mostly about plastic containers in which their food is served, lack of information about their disease, the impossibility of further expert examinations and interruption of RHB due to MRSA in-fection and masks as part of PPE. The information about the need for isolation is given by the doctor with a brief description of the disease. Patients also perceive the fact that not all health care professionals use PPE in accordance with the current regulations and standards
Natural rubber nanocomposites with organo-modified bentonite
Enhancement of the physico-chemical properties of elastomers can be achieved by the addition of fillers, such as silica, but the search for less expensive alternative materials continues. The objective of this study was to investigate natural or organically modified clay minerals as such an alternative. Organo-clays modified by quaternary ammonium cations with three methyl groups and longest alkyl chains of different lengths were prepared by ion-exchange reaction of the commercial product JP A030 (Envigeo, Slovakia) based on Jelšový Potok bentonite with organic salts: tetramethylammonium (TMA) chloride, octyltrimethylammonium (OTMA) bromide, and octadecyltrimethylammonium (ODTMA) bromide. Physico-chemical characterizations of the organo-clays used as fillers in rubber nanocomposites and their mechanical properties were measured using Fourier transform infrared (IR) spectroscopy, which provided information on the chemical composition of the mineral and on the amount of organic moieties adsorbed. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) was used to monitor the arrangement of organic chains in galleries of montmorillonite and showed that the longest-chain alkylammonium ODTMA ions were intercalated between layers, adopting a pseudotrimolecular conformation, while OTMA and TMA were in monomolecular arrangement. Surface areas were measured by sorption of N and ethylene glycol monoethyl ether. Natural rubber-clay nanocomposites were prepared by melt intercalation, in some cases also with addition of silica, a conventional reinforcing filler. The microstructure of montmorillonite in these composites was characterized by XRD analysis. The effect of clay and organo-clays loading from 1 to 10 phr (parts by weight per hundred parts of rubber) on stress at break, strain at break, and Modulus 100 (M100) was investigated by tensile tests. Filler ODTMA-JP A030 appears to be the most effective among the organoclays; surprisingly similar values of composite elongation and strength were obtained with unmodified bentonite JP A030
