Managing this wealth (amanah) leads to the basic concept of Islamic accountability where proper disclosure and transparency in every business transaction or service is encouraged. This paper attempts to explore the characteristics and application of the principles of Islamic governance. Using qualitative research methods, this study further focuses on trust and accountability with respect to governance mechanisms as required by Islamic principles and in light of today's world affairs. As a doctrinal research, the researcher reviews the relevant literature to identify the main features of government such as shura, caliphate, accountability, transparency, justice and equality as well as the current need for trust in public and private government. The findings of this study are that the Koran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) have provided many guidelines in the field of constitutional affairs that can help the government system. The Qur'an is flexible enough not to mention the details and details that are left for Muslims to formulate according to their particular circumstances. Finally, the aim of this paper is to inform policy makers and practitioners about the main doctrines that have been proposed by the Qur'an and which can be applied for the effective management of our affair

A Belief Rule Based Expert System for Datacenter PUE Prediction under Uncertainty

    Get PDF
A rapidly emerging trend in the IT landscape is the uptake of large-scale datacenters moving storage and data processing to providers located far away from the end-users or locally deployed servers. For these large-scale datacenters, power efficiency is a key metric, with the PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) and DCiE (Data Centre infrastructure Efficiency) being important examples. This article proposes a belief rule based expert system to predict datacenter PUE under uncertainty. The system has been evaluated using real-world data from a data center in the UK. The results would help planning construction of new datacenters and the redesign of existing datacenters making them more power efficient leading to a more sustainable computing environment. In addition, an optimal learning model for the BRBES demonstrated which has been compared with ANN and Genetic Algorithm; and the results are promising

Quantitative data were collected by structured questionnaire and qualitative data were obtained by face to face video recording interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed by Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS)   and thematic analysis was considered for qualitative data. Result: Study findings showed that 95% of the participants (n=19) were in their 2nd to 3rd decade of life, there mean age were 26 and male participation (n=12) were higher than female (n=8). Highest academic qualification was master’s degree and none of the participants attended leadership training before. Overall objective, planning and atmosphere of the training course, quality of trainers and time management seemed effective and satisfactory to the participants they agreed with. Leadership qualities and elements have profound impacts on knowledge and attitude towards positivity in performing professional duties and Responsibilities. The training also enhances motivation to be a skilled professional in clinical practice, also encourages serving with outmost excellence towards patients or clients. Conclusion: The study demonstrates that education on leadership to professionals have an impact on motivation and positivity towards developing technical, management and professional skills. The study may have impact on developing diverse qualities of a professional in personal and organizational perspective; this can be explored by continuing education on leadership and evaluation of the behavioral changes, professional and management skills in rehabilitation professionals’ serving in an organization in longer run

Fiscalism as Spending and Monetary Integration

Macroeconomic policy coordination and the fi eld of micro-foundation of the macroeconomic theory have been riddled with the contest of claimed effi cacy between the Keynesian school and the monetarist school. Keynesianism upheld the predominance of fi scalism (spending) in economic stabilization on the one side. Friedman’s monetarist theory vouched for the same on the other side. As a result of the monetary and fi scal contest between the two schools a convergence between them could not be att ained. Such a divide is similar in economic science as it has been a fi asco thus far in the physical sciences between Quantum Mechanics explaining the small world phenomenon, and Relativity Physics explaining the large world phenomenon. The nonhomogenous views of a unique reality in economics, as in science, have defied the unifi cation of theories and application for the greater objective of wellbeing in an embedded social economy, beyond sheer address of the stabilization question. Our paper strides out in the new direction of a socioscientific epistemological worldview of the unifi cation of monetary and fi scal (spending) regimes in a consolidated theory of complementarities between them. The paper does this by breaking new grounds that are based on the model of organic unity of knowledge, which acts upon the simulation of well being with the method of circular causation. A review of the literature and introduction of formalism are undertaken to expound the theme of economic stabilization by means of complementing monetary and fi scal (spending) regimes in a unifi ed theory, while addressing the simulation of well-being in a learning model of unity of knowledge. The emergent methodology presents the description of a system of inter-variables circular causation relations. An extensive review of the literature is undertaken. An empirical presentation and a case study establish the validity of the well-being model with circular causation.   Keywords: Monetary and spending regimes, epistemology and economics, economic stabilization, well-being

In recent study, the Herbal Anti-atherosclerosis Formulation comprising of Lemon, Garlic, Ginger and Apple fruit extract vinegar have been generally recognized as agents for prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and other metabolic ailments, atherosclerosis, hyperlipidemia, thrombosis, hypertension and diabetes and cholesterol bringing down impact. Accordingly, the present study was intended to investigate thrombolytic properties of Herbal Anti-atherosclerosis Formulation. Natural Antiatherosclerosis Formulation of demonstrated exceptionally huge (P <0.001) clot lytic properties in different blood samples. The percent clot lytic activity was compared with negative control (water) and standard enzyme positive control (streptokinase). The mean % of clot lysis for water and streptokinase was discovered 4.71% and 86.21% individually. Then again the mean percent clot lytic activity of Herbal Anti-atherosclerosis Formulation was discovered 29.51%, which is huge contrast and the positive and negative control. The present research recommends that Herbal Anti-atherosclerosis Formulation has significant thrombolytic action. Consequently the detailing may be a wellspring of powerful natural medication
