In this research, we analyse the current state of this task and the possibilities of retrieval of film information at six Spanish important film archives, interviewing their responsible librarians for film cataloguing and comparing the content fields inside their film cataloguing records used by each one of these six organizations

Unprecedented layered coordination polymers of dithiolene group 10 metals: Magnetic and electrical properties

One-pot reactions between Ni(ii), Pd(ii) or Pt(ii) salts and 3,6-dichloro-1,2-benzenedithiol (HSC6H2Cl2SH) in KOH medium under argon lead to a series of bis-dithiolene coordination polymers. X-ray analysis shows the presence of a common square planar complex [M(SC6H2Cl2S)2]2- linked to potassium cations forming either a two-dimensional coordination polymer network for {[K2(μ-H2O)2(μ-thf)(thf)2][M(SC6H2Cl2S)2]}n [M = Ni (1) and Pd (2)] or a one-dimensional coordination polymer for {[K2(μ-H2O)2(thf)6][Pt(SC6H2Cl2S)2]}n (3). La recuperación post-incendio de la vegetación ha sido estudiada sobre todo a nivel de parcela. A escala regional diferentes factores pueden determinar la variabilidad en la capacidad de regeneración vegetal. El empleo de la teledetección permite efectuar un seguimiento de la regeneración a gran escala. En este trabajo se muestra como la recurrencia de incendios a lo largo del periodo de estudio (1975-1998) provocó una disminución significativa de la resiliencia de los bosques y matorrales mediterráneos de Cataluña. Impact properties and water uptake behavior of old newspaper recycled fibers-reinforced polypropylene composites

Natural fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites can be an alternative to mineral fiber-based composites, especially when economic and environment concerns are included under the material selection criteria. In recent years, the literature has shown how lignocellulosic fiber-reinforced composites can be used for a variety of applications. Nonetheless, the impact strength and the water uptake behavior of such materials have been seen as drawbacks. In this work, the impact strength and the water uptake of composites made of polypropylene reinforced with fibers from recycled newspaper have been researched. The results show how the impact strength decreases with the percentage of reinforcement in a similar manner to that of glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene composites as a result of adding a fragile phase to the material. It was found that the water uptake increased with the increasing percentages of lignocellulosic fibers due to the hydrophilic nature of such reinforcements. The diffusion behavior was found to be Fickian. A maleic anhydride was added as a coupling agent in order to increase the strength of the interface between the matrix and the reinforcements. It was found that the presence of such a coupling agent increased the impact strength of the composites and decreased the water uptake. Impact strengths of 21.3 kJ/m3 were obtained for a coupled composite with 30 wt % reinforcement contents, which is a value higher than that obtained for glass fiber-based materials. The obtained composites reinforced with recycled fibers showed competitive impact strength and water uptake behaviors in comparison with materials reinforced with raw lignocellulosic fibers. Broken Film Narratives: The Invisibility of Latinx Women in Education Through Film and Literature

Our research aims to explore the lack of Latinx women being portrayed in films with education as the central theme. Although there are Latinx women in films today, they are not portrayed in an entirely positive light. They are commonly represented in an oversexualized manner compared to latinx men who are portrayed as hard workers and commonly seeking education. A good example would be the film McFarland USA by Niki Caro in which young male adolescents are a part of a cross country team. Although the film does a great job of portraying their lives as latinx adolescents living in the United States, the film fails to depict the women’s team overall. There are films on education that portray women, such as Real Women Have Curves by Patricia Cardoso, a coming-of-age film depicting a young Latina struggling to defend her right to obtain a higher education. However, a common theme throughout the film is her mother commenting on her body and her duties as a woman in serving men. As a result, we are looking to investigate the lack of Latinx women being depicted in a positive light in current films

Higgs decay into two photons from a 3HDM with flavor symmetry

In this short letter we show that the excess of events in the decay of Higgs to two photons reported by ATLAS and CMS can be easily accommodated in a flavor renormalizable three Higgs doublet model (3HDM). Juegos para colorear grafos

En este trabajo se presentan aplicaciones informáticas de carácter lúdico y didáctico, que tienen como objetivo la comprensión de las estrategias para colorear grafos. La primera de ellas es un juego de dos jugadores (uno de ellos puede ser el ordenador) en el que, alternativamente, cada jugador colorea un vértice de un grafo previamente construido. Los colores se eligen de una lista adecuada para cada grafo. Vence el primer jugador si consigue que, en algún momento, el segundo jugador no disponga de ningún color válido para seguir coloreando el grafo. Si, por el contrario, el grafo se colorea correctamente, el vencedor es el segundo jugador. La segunda aplicación es también un juego decoloración de grafos, pero en esta ocasión se colorean las aristas. Ambas aplicaciones disponen de un banco de grafos del que se elige uno en cada nuevo juego
