Essential Oils (EOs) are a substance composed of two phases. A liquid and volatile substance that has aromatic, antibacterial, antioxidant. The properties of EOs are not new to humanity. Indeed, these began to take a role from the first civilizations (Egyptian civilization). Where EOs used as preservatives and flavourings. Nowadays, the use of the EOs is the same. Avoid the growth of bacteria and viruses (theoretical) in food, the contact surface (chairs of the bus), tables, fabrics (clothes). During these last years, the industrial world took the relevance of the microencapsulation technique. This technique pretends to capture the EOs to reach two main objectives. First, contain all his active compounds into a microcapsule to prevent the degradation of the environment. Second, release control into the media, contact surface, or fabrics. Microencapsulation is a beneficial technology to improve fields of biomedicine and the food industry. Besides, the impregnation of these microcapsules on fabrics can develop a lot of new properties. Indeed, the antibacterial and antioxidant properties. The amount of these properties requires an accurate and meticulous methodology. The formation of the microcapsules is very complicated to explain from one point of view. Therefore, it is necessary to collect all the available data. Nevertheless, the research count with very sophisticated equipment, which can provide us with very accurate results. Nanosizer, Spectrophotometer, SEM. The meaning of this research is to make sure if it is possible to control either the diffusion of the EOs and his chemist properties (diameter and morphology). Simple coacervation of microcapsules of ß-cyclodextrin (B-CD) with lavender (L) is the technique that we will follow at the beginning of this research. These simple microcapsules will be impregnated in different fabrics: Polyester (PET), Cotton (COT), and Polyamide (PA). After his impregnation, we must wait until dry in the ambient and make the drug delivery. The complex coacervation is the principal object to study. In this part of the research, we will use Eco Tween 20 (TW) as a surfactant and some crosslinkers: Citric Acid (CA) and Tannic Acid (TA). Due to his addition, we will pay attention to his new chemist properties and behaviour in different fabrics. The drug delivery results will follow a mathematical procedure. This procedure, which will contrast with Korsmeyer-Peppas and Higuchi principles, will help us ascertain his diffusion behaviour.Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version

Goal Orientation Test: An Objective Behavioral Test

The aim of the present research is to assess goal orientation (mastery and performance) by developing an objective behavioral test. We elaborated the Mastery Performance-Goal Orientation Test, a task that allows assessment of goal orientation along a single dimension. We studied its reliability and validity by conducting two studies. In Study 1 (N = 293 adults), the distribution of scores along the goal orientation variable showed wide variability and high internal consistency. The mastery-oriented participants demonstrated higher levels of category learning, whereas the performance-oriented participants responded in a less discriminative way but achieved higher scores. In Study 2 (N = 41 undergraduate students), the mastery-oriented participants achieved higher scores on a learning task than the performance-oriented subjects. The results also showed that the test had the potential to predict subsequent learning. We conclude that it might be a useful instrument to assess goal orientatio

    Get PDF
Artículo derivado de una tesis de MCMA three-step synthetic route was proposed and tested to obtain a chain-end functional di-sorbitan oleate monomer: First, 1,18-octadec-9-enedioic acid compound was produced by self-metathesis reaction of an oleic acid; then, the 1,18-octadec 9-enoyl dichloride compound was yielded by chlorination of the di-acid with thionyl chloride, and fnally, the 1,18-di-sorbitan oleate monomer was yielded by esterifcation of the dichloride with 1,4-sorbitan. The di-sorbitan oleate monomer was purifed and then characterized by FTIR, 1 H-NMR, DSC and TGA to establish its structure and properties. A bio-based polyurethane (PU) was synthesized by reacting the obtained 1,18-di-sorbitan oleate monomer and MDI. Rheological analysis showed that a curing reaction occurs as a signifcant increase of the storage modulus (G’) and the complex viscosity (η*) at 100 °C. The obtained bio-based PU was characterized by FTIR, TGA and DMA, confrming that 1,18-di-sorbitan oleate is a feasible monomer for synthesizing polyurethanes.Conacyt CB-2015–01-257591

The objective of the present study is to analyze the influence of coaches on emotional intelligence and on levels of anxiety, motivation, self-esteem, and resilience among athletes. Five-hundred forty-seven semi-professional athletes between the ages of 16 and 19 participated in this study. Various statistical analyses were conducted which explain the causal relationships between the variables. The results, obtained using a structural equations model, find that while autonomy support positively predicts emotional intelligence, perceived control predicts it negatively. Moreover, emotional intelligence positively predicts self-esteem and self-determined motivation, but negatively predicts anxiety. Other results show that self-esteem positively predicts self-determined motivation, whereas anxiety predicts it negatively. Finally, self-determined motivation positively predicts resilience. Indeed, the study demonstrates the influence and the importance of coaches in relation to the emotional intelligence, psychological well-being, and motivational processes of adolescent athletes when the latter engage in their respective sports. These results help to better understand how different behavioral, emotional, and social aspects belonging to the athlete interrelate with one another during competition

According to a WHO report (2018), more than 80% of adolescents do not do enough physical activity. Physical Education (PE) classes should be aimed at solving this problem. The present study aims to analyze the influence teachers have on motivation, embarrassment and intention to be physically active among their students. A total of 604 secondary school students participated in the study. Various statistical analyses were carried out to explain the causal relationships between the variables. The results revealed a positive relation between the autonomy support and the satisfaction of basic psychological needs (BPN), and a negative relation with the frustration of BPN. In contrast, perceived control revealed a positive relation with frustration of BPN, and a negative relation with the satisfaction of BPN. Satisfaction of BPN was negatively related to embarrassment and positively related to self-determined motivation. On the other hand, frustration of BPN was positively related to embarrassment and negatively with self-determined motivation. Embarrassment was negatively related to self-determined motivation, and the latter was positively related to intention to be physically active. Indeed, the study demonstrates the influence and the importance of PE teachers and of the motivational and emotional processes of adolescents during PE classes and the role they play in acquiring the habits of an active lifestyle

Modelos de regresión espacio temporales en la estimación municipal de la renta. Estimación de la RFDPC municipal en la región de Murcia

    Get PDF

    Get PDF
