    Effects of Learning Models on Badminton Learning Achievement. This study aims to find out the effects of the tactical approach and the conventional approach on the badminton learning achievement. The experiment was conducted in the Bandung Badminton Club of FPOK UPI. The results of the study were as follows. First, in general, the skills of female badminton players using the tactical approach are better than those of the players using the conventional approach. Second, the skills of female players with high motor ability using the tactical approach are better than those of the players using the conventional approach. Third, the skills of female players with low motor ability using the tactical approach are not significantly different from those of the players using the conventional approach. Fourth, there is an interaction between the teaching models and motor ability in relation to the female players’ badminton skills.     MODEL PEMBELAJARAN E-LEARNING SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model pembelajaran e-learning Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan dengan menerapkan sistem desain pembelajaran e- learning yang memudahkan guru mengembangkan sendiri pada mata pelajaran yang diampunya. Sistem desain pembelajaran e-learning berbentuk panduan mencakup empat aspek yaitu aspek Analisis Kebutuhan, aspek Seleksi dan Urutan Kompetensi, aspek Pengembangan Pelajaran, dan aspek Evaluasi Instruksional Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian riset dan pengembangan (R & D), yang akan dilakukan selama tiga (3) tahun. Tahun pertama, mengkaji dan mengembangkan kriteria model pembelajaran e-learning di SMK beserta indikatornya. Tahun kedua, mengembangkan dengan menerapkan Panduan Sistem Desain Pembelajaran e-learning di SMK berdasarkan kriteria model hasil tahun pertama, menyelenggarakan FGD untuk membahas draf panduan, melakukan uji coba, dan merevisi draf panduan. Tahun ketiga, diseminasi Panduan Sistem Desain Pembelajaran e-learning di SMK sesuai mata pelajaran produktif dan menguji keefektifannya. Pada tahun pertama, responden yang akan dilibatkan dalam FGD adalah 5 pakar media pembelajaran dari perguruan tinggi dan 5 pakar dari profesi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK). Sementara itu, responden uji coba pada tahun pertama adalah 20 guru SMA dan 165 siswa SMK. Tahun kedua, peserta FGD adalah 10 pakar dari perguruan tinggi dan Profesi TIK, sedangkan materi yang didiskusikan adalah panduan penggunaan prosedur pembelajaran e-learning di SMK. Peserta uji coba pada tahun kedua ini adalah 40 guru SMK, dan 200 siswa SMK. Pada tahun ketiga, model pembelajaran e-learning diseminasikan ke 22 guru SMK se-DIY. Hasil penelitian tahun pertama adalah draf kriteria model pembelajaran e- learning dan indikator dari empat aspek utama yaitu 1) analisis kebutuhan, 2) seleksi dan urutan kompetensi, 3) pengembangan pembelajaran, dan 4) evaluasi pembelajaran. Hasil tahun ke dua adalah panduan model pembelajaran e-learning SMK yang sudah diuji kelayakannya. Sedangkan hasil tahun ketiga adalah diseminasi panduan model pembelajaran e-learning SMK dapat diterapkan di SMK sebagai model pembelajaran e-learning yang mudah, dan efektif untuk pembelajaran e-learning

    Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan rancangan penelitian korenasional". Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; (l) Apakah ada korelasi motivasi terhadap kinerja pegawai terhadap program pada Kantor Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan (2) Apakah ada korelasi motivasi terhadap kinerja pegawai dalam program pada Kantor Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Populasinya adalah Pegawai Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 30 orang Pegawai dengan teknik random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis koefisien korelasi, dan anaiisis regresi tunggal dan regresi ganda (R) melalui program SPSS 16 pada taraf signifikan o: 05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) ada korelasi motivasi yang tinggi terhadap kinerja pegawai terhadap program pada Kantor Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan (2) Ada korelasi kinerja yang tinggi dalam melaksanakan program pada Kantor Dinas dan Olahraga Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan.     Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Nutzung von Temperatursummen für die Terminierung von Aussaat und Umbruch einer Winterzwischenfrucht zur Kontrolle von Meliodogyne hapla im Ökologischen Landbau

    Pflanzenparasitäre Nematoden verursachen bedeutende wirtschaftliche Schäden im ökologischen Landbau (Paffrath et al. 2005). Vorwiegend betroffen sind Betriebe mit einem hohen Anteil an Feldgemüse in der Fruchtfolge. Für Nematoden mit einem breiten Wirtspflanzenspektrum wie Meloidogyne hapla bieten sich über die Fruchtfolge, Unkrautbesatz und kurze Brachezeiten kontinuierlich Wirtspflanzen im Bestand. Insbesondere Leguminosen, eine entscheidende Stickstoffquelle im ökologischen Landbau, sind hervorragende Wirtspflanzen für M. hapla und andere pflanzenparasitäre Nematodenarten. Derzeit sind kaum praxisrelevante Maßnahmen zur Reduzierung pflanzenparasitärer Nematoden verfügbar oder aber, wie im Falle der Schwarzbrache, wenig ökologisch. Ziel des Projektes war es, den Anbau von Leguminosen als Winterzwischenfrucht in einen Zeitraum zu verlegen, in denen die Nematoden nur eingeschränkt aktiv sind. Unter der Annahme, dass M. hapla bei Bodentemperaturen unter 8°C nicht aktiv ist (Vrain et al. 1978), sollte es bei entsprechend später Aussaat im Herbst und entsprechend zeitigem Umbruch im Frühjahr nicht zu einer Vermehrung der Nematoden kommen. Die Zeit für den Abschluss einer Nematodengeneration wurde mithilfe der Temperatursumme über 8°C ermittelt. Grundlage hierfür bildeten Feldversuche mit Salat (Heinicke et al. 2002, 2003, 2004) sowie Literaturrecherchen (Lahtinen et al. 1988, Mercer 1990), nach denen für den Abschluss einer Generation von M. hapla eine Temperatursumme von 450°C erforderlich ist. Die Untersuchungen zeigen, dass mit einer überwinternden Winterzwischenfrucht einerseits Stickstoff fixiert, andererseits auch der Wurzelgallennematode M. hapla erfolgreich reduziert werden kann, vorausgesetzt, der Umbruch im Frühjahr erfolgt rechtzeitig. Zur Ermittlung des rechtzeitigen Umbruchtermines kann grundsätzlich die Temperatursumme herangezogen werden, wenn sie entsprechend angepasst wird. Voraussetzung hierfür ist ein besseres Verständnis kühler Temperaturen auf die Entwicklung von M. hapla

    ABSTRACT Brain development in humans occurs stagewise in correlation with the onsets of the main Piagetian stages of reasoning development. This allows a description of cognitive development as resulting partially from and dependent upon biological events occurring in the brain. Evidence shows that some eventual brain structures depend on a combination of biological events and instructional or experiential inputs. Such a description thereby permits some novel working hypotheses about normal cognitive development and how to foster it, as well as suggesting alternative ways of creating intervention programs for children from deprived environments. Piagetian and Neo-Piagetian theories of human cognitive abilities attempt to describe what happens developmentally leading up to the mature state. They describe this almost entirely in terms of the psycho-social factors involved. But, cognitive functions and changes are more readily and more accurately understood and described if attention is also, if not first, paid to the facts of brain growth. That understanding also permits parents and teachers to see ways to enhance children's cognitive development

    Background. The South African Stress and Health (SASH) study is the first large-scale population-based study of common mental disorders in the country. This paper provides data on the 12-month and lifetime prevalence of these conditions.Methods. Data from a nationally representative sample of 4 351 adults were analysed. Mental disorders were assessed with the Composite International Diagnostic Interview (CIDI). An extensive survey questionnaire detailed contextual and socio-demographic factors, onset and course of mental disorders, and risk factors. Simple weighted cross-tabulation methods were used to estimate prevalence, and logistic regression analysis was used to study correlates of 12-monthand lifetime prevalence.Results. The lifetime prevalence for any disorder was 30.3%, and the most prevalent 12-month and lifetime disorders were the anxiety disorders. The Western Cape had the highest 12-month and lifetime prevalence rates, and the lowest rates were in the Northern Cape.Conclusions. The SASH study shows relatively high 12-monthand lifetime prevalence rates. These findings have significant implications for planning mental health services

    Impact of common mental disorders during childhood and adolescence on secondary school completion

    There are few data from South Africa and other low- and middle-income countries on how mental disorders in childhood and adolescence may influence different aspects of socio-economic position, including educational attainment. We examined the association between early-onset disorders and subsequent educational achievement in a nationallyrepresentative sample of 4 351 South African adults. After adjusting for participant demographic characteristics and traumatic life events, post-traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder and substance-related disorders were each associated with increased odds of failing to complete secondary education (odds ratios and 95% confidenceintervals 2.3, 1.0 - 5.1; 1.7, 1.2 - 2.5, and 1.7, 1.2 - 2.5, respectively). These data point to the role that early-life mental disorders may play in educational achievement and subsequent socio-economic position over the life course
