Sensitized photolysis of polychlorobiphenyls in alkaline 2-propanol: dechlorination of Aroclor 1254 in soil samples by solar radiation

Photodechlorination of Aroclor 1254 (1000 mg/L) in an alkaline 2-propanol solution at \lambda = 254 nm proceeded with a high quantum yield (\phi = 35.0) as determined by C1- release. The Aroclor was completely dechlorinated in 30 min and gave predominantly biphenyl (BP). After 20 h of solar irradiation, only partial dechlorination (25%) was observed, and no BP was formed. In the presence of phenothiazine (PT) sensitizer (5 mM) the Aroclor was completely dechlorinated to BP in 1 h at 350 nm (\phi = 2.33) and in 4 h by exposure to sunlight. Under the same conditions, Aroclor 1254 extracts of contaminated soil (730 mg/L) were dechlorinated in 2 h at 350 nm (\phi = 0.28) and in 20 h on exposure to sunlight. The photoreaction was completely quenched by oxygen and nitrobenzene (0.1 M). Moreover the Aroclor was thermally (ca. 80 "C) dechlorinated to BP using di-tert-butyl peroxide. A free-radical chain reaction was suggested in which the aryl radical anion, Ar(*-)-Cl, was a key intermediate in the dechlorination process

EVALUASI LAPORAN AKUNTABILITAS KINERJA INSTANSI PEMERINTAH (LAKIP) PADA DINAS PARIWISATA PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT TAHUN 2017-2018

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pencapaian kinerja Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Barat Tahun 2017-2018 berdasarkan LAKIP Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Barat Tahun 2017-2018 dan melihat kesesuaian antara LAKIP Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Barat dengan amanat Permen PAN RB No. 53 Tahun 2014. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif menggunakan data sekunder berupa LAKIP Tahun 2017 dan 2018, Renstra Dinas Pariwisata Prov. Sumbar Tahun 2016-2021, dan Renstra Dinas Pariwisara Prov. Sumbar Tahun 2017-2021. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa (1) Secara keseluruhan, pencapaian kinerja Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Barat pada LAKIP Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Barat Tahun 2017-2018 sudah baik karena pencapaian kinerja rata-rata di atas 80% (2) Secara umum, LAKIP Dinas Provinsi Sumatera Barat Tahun 2017-2018 telah sesuai dengan amanat Permen PAN RB No. 53 Tahun 2014. MENELISIK LANGKAH STATEGIS PKS TULANG BAWANG PADA PEMILU TAHUN 2019

AbstractPolitical parties are like outlets that offer various kinds of public needs and stand with other outlets that also offer the same products. So which outlet is the smartest in putting up marketing tactics and strategies to attract potential buyers, then it is he who will get a lot of customers and make a profit from his business. Likewise, the fate of political parties in the contestation of democracy in Indonesia, all political parties compete to win the hearts of voters. Not to forget, PKS Tulang Bawang which is part of the big house of this Islamic-based political party also participates in playing its political role and strategy in society. This study tries to examine in depth the PKS strategy in the 2019 legislative elections in Tulang Bawang Regency. This type of research is qualitative analytic with structured interview methods and documentation. The results of the study found that PKS played two main strategies in the election, namely air strikes in the form of a social media approach by uploading content that could attract the sympathy of millennials specifically. And the second is ground attacks such as social work, preaching, political advocacy, and sometimes even the PKS aleg has to fight the mainstream just to save the political ideals of this da'wah party.Keywords: Strategic, PKS, Election, Tulang BawangAbstrakPartai politik itu ibarat gerai yang menawarkan berbagai macam produk kebutuhan masyarakat berdampingan dengan gerai-gerai lainnya yang juga menawarkan produk yang sama. Maka gerai mana yang paling pandai dalam memasang taktik dan strategi pemasaran guna menarik minat calon pembeli maka dialah yang akan mendapat banyak pelanggan dan meraih keuntungan dari bisnisnya. Begitupun nasib parpol dalam kontestasi demokrasi di Indonesia, semua parpol bersaing untuk merebut hati voters. Tak ketinggalan PKS Tulang Bawang yang merupakan bagian dari rumah besar partai politik berasas Islam ini juga ikut serta dalam memainkan peran dan strategi politiknya di masyarakat. Kajian ini mencoba mentelaah secara dalam tentang strategi PKS pada pemilu legislatif tahun 2019 yang lalu di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang.  Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif analitik dengan metode wawancara terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian mendapati bahwa PKS memainkan dua strategi utama dalam pemilu yaitu serangan udara berupa pendekatan media sosial dengan mengunggah konten-konten yang bisa menarik simpati kaum milenial secara khusus. Dan yang kedua adalah serangan darat seperti kerja-kerja sosial, dakwah, advokasi politik, bahkan tidak jarang aleg PKS harus melawan arus utama hanya sekedar untuk menyelamatkan idealitas politik partai dakwah mereka.Kata Kunci: Strategi, PKS, Pemilu, Tulang Bawan

Step Detection Algorithm For Accurate Distance Estimation Using Dynamic Step Length

In this paper, a new Smartphone sensor based algorithm is proposed to detect accurate distance estimation. The algorithm consists of two phases, the first phase is for detecting the peaks from the Smartphone accelerometer sensor. The other one is for detecting the step length which varies from step to step. The proposed algorithm is tested and implemented in real environment and it showed promising results. Unlike the conventional approaches, the error of the proposed algorithm is fixed and is not affected by the long distance. ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA LOGO BANK NAGARI BANK PEMBANGUNAN DAERAH SUMATERA BARAT

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Semiotika Logo Bank Nagari Bank Pembangunan Daerah Sumatera Barat”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemaknaan pada logo Bank Nagari Bank Pembangunan Daerah Sumatera Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan ini adalah metode analisis semiotika dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang terdiri dari : studi kepustakaan dan penelitian lapangan. Penelitian lapangan terdiri dari : Observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya makna konotasi, denotasi dan mitos yang terdapat dibalik logo Bank Nagari yang menunjukan sebagai identitas perusahaan. Rekomendasi yang bisa diberikan peneliti sebagai masukan bagi pihak Bank Nagari dalam hal logo yaitu : Sebaiknya Bank Nagari lebih gencar melakukan sosialisasi terhadap logonya, logo Bank Nagari lebih bisa mendorong sumber daya manusia agar menjadikan corporate identity Bank Nagari ini menjadi bagian dari setiap individunya untuk berkomitmen, Bank Nagari agar selalu mempertahankan nilai-nilai perusahaan agar terus sanggup menghadapi tantangan dan peluang bisnis di industri perbankan

Preparation And Properties Of Rubber Seed Kernel Powder/Recycled Polystyrene Composites

Recycled polystyrene (RPS)/rubber seed kernel powder (RSKP) composites at 0, 1, 3, 5, and 10 wt% of RSKP were prepared in an internal mixer at 180°C with 60 rpm of rotor speed for 8 minutes. Processing torque, tensile strength, elongation at break, Young’s modulus and impact strength decreased with higher RSKP loadings, but water absorption increased. In comparison to virgin polystyrene (VPS)/RSKP, RPS/RSKP composites had lower processing torque, tensile strength, elongation at break, impact strength and water absorption. Maleic anhydride (MAH) incorporation into RPS/RSKP composites showed higher tensile strength, elongation at break, Young’s modulus and impact strength as compared to RPS/RSKP composites. The presence of MAH increased the impact strength at 1, 3, and 5 wt% of RSKP loadings. Modifying of RSKP filler with natural rubber latex improved tensile strength, elongation at break and impact strength for RPS/RSKP composites
