Physical Properties of Agarophyte Gracilaria sp. (verrucosa type) from Seaweed Culture of Takalar,South Sulawesi

ABSTRAK Agarophyte of Gracilaria sp. (verrucosa type) collected from Takalar, South Sulawesi, has been studied for its quality. The organoleptic test on the raw material indicated that its color was dull red and its water content was moderate, 23.53%. The impurity content was 46.2%, and mostly consisted of very fine water soluble materials. The agar yield of the raw material was 47.70%. Its physical properties, as indicated by geling point, gel surface strength and viscosity, were inferior than commercial agar: The data suggest that impurify content is the most important determinant of agar quality. Microbend in an SMS Fiber Structure

We present a numerical and experimental model of microbend in an SMS fiber structure. We obtain the numerical model by using several boundary conditions in SMS fiber structure. These conditions divided into transmission of light in a straight multimode fiber and in a bend multimode fiber. The microbend in multimode fiber affects the radius of curvature of the fiber. Thus, causes radiation several modes and then re-distribution of guided modes. The guided modes itself will vary in MMI and bring out different output power. The numerical result compare well with the experimental result from variation of the radius of curvature of the fiber (R) and the arc length

Criminal Crime Policy against Child Pornography (Perspective Protection of the Rights of the Child Pornography Victims of Crime)

At the UU. 44 Year 2008 on Pornography gives special attention to children who are prone to be involved in pornography a criminal offense. Given the current storm pornography carries a high crime escalation including its effect on children, it is necessary to study and carried out with the aim to: 1) understand the forms of legal protection that is applied to the crime of child pornography involved, 2) analyze the Criminal Policy against the crime of child pornography; 3) find the right model protection to ensure the implementation of children's rights involved the crime of pornography. The type of this research is a normative juridicalstydy (legal research). This study examines the legislation and scientific opinion related criminal policy against child pornography,  to realize the guaranteed protection of children's rights crime victims pornography. The results showed that in terms of policies to address the crime of pornography involving children have been accommodated in some particular legislation UU No. 44 of 2008 has set the crime of pornography that explicitly contain child pornography. Perancangan Coupling Antara Solar Collector-Serat Optik Untuk Sistem Pencahayaan Alami

Abstrak—Solar lighting merupakan salah satu energi alternatif yang memanfaatkan matahari sebagai sumber cahaya untuk penerangan ruangan.Solar lighting dapat diaplikasikan dengan berbagai macam metode, salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan serat optik. Sistem solar lighting berbasis serat optik terdiri dari dua komponen utama, yaitu solar collector dan serat optik. Solar collector merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk memantulkan dan mengumpulkan sinar matahari pada satu titik, sedangkan serat optik merupakan alat yang digunakan sebagai media transmisi cahaya.Salah satu masalah yang dapat mempengaruhi transmisi cahaya adalah coupling dari solar collector ke serat optik.Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan perancangan sistem coupling antara solar collector dengan serat optik pada sistem solar lighting berbasis serat optik dengan hasil intensitas keluaran serat optik sesuai dengan standar SNI03-6575-2001 dalam pencahayaan laboratorium (500 lux).Dasar perancangan dalam sistem coupling adalah pemilihan - pemilihan parameter dari kolektor parabola dan serat optik untuk besar berkas masukan cahaya tertentu.Berdasarkan diameter berkas cahaya yang diterima kolektor dan sudut penerimaan maksimal dari serat optik dapat ditentukan besar harga parameter panjang fokus (f) dan aperture (D) yang menghasilkan coupling yang maksimum.Selain itu panjang serat optik dapat mempengaruhi dari transmisi. Pada tugas akhir ini digunakan serat optik sepanjang 50 m sebagai salah satu batasan  penelitian. Hasil dari perhitungan, untuk memperoleh intensitas sebesar 500 lux pada keluaran serat optik diperlukan parabola dengan panjang fokus 1,51 m dan aperture 1,31 m, sedangkan hasil eksperimen dengan panjang fokus dan aperture yang sama diperoleh intensitas kurang dari 500 lux. Ketidaksesuaian antara hasil perhitungan dengan eksperimen ini dapat diakibatkan oleh kurang simetrisnya kolektor parabola yang dibuat. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari terjadinya pelebaran spot size berkas cahaya masukan pada serat optik

Konstruksi Pendekatan Saintific Dalam Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Di SMK Perpajakan Riau

Konstruksi pada penelitian ini dalam rangka menggali kebermanfaatan penerapan pembelajaran system Saintific dalam pembelajaran PAI pada SMK Perpajakan Riau. Metode yang digunakan adalah ekprimen riseach dengan subyek penelitian Guru PAI berjumlah 1 orang. Dengan keimpulan penelitian yaitu: 1) pendekatan Saintific dalam pembelajaran PAI memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam proses pembelajaran lalui lima unsur yakni: (1) mengamati, (2) Menanya, (3) eksprimen (4) Asosiasi dan (5) menalar. Hal tesebut digambarkan melalui temuan guru PAI mampu memberikan pembelajaran dengan menarik perhatian siswa, motivasi yang tinggi dari para siswa, mampu memberikan acuan serta pemetaan pembahasan PAI. 2) guru PAI mampu memunculkan pembelajaran yang kritis sebagai wujud saintificnya. Dari temuan penelitian terkonfirmasi melauli teori johnn dewey yang mengemukakan sebagai berikut: 1) mengemukakan persoalan msalah, 2) memperjelas persoalan masalah, 3) melihat kemungkinan jawaban peserta didik-peserta didik bersama pendidik mencari kemungkinan-kemungkinan yang akan dilaksanakan dalam pemecasahan persoalan, 4) mencobakan kemungkinan yang dianggap mennguntungkan, 5) penilaian. Dari beberpa tujuan tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan beberapa dimensi yang hendak ditingkatkan dan dituju oleh kegiatan pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam, yaitu: a) Dimensi keimanan peserta didik terhadap ajaran agama Islam. b) Dimensi pemahaman atua penalaran (intelektual) serta keilmuan peserta didik terhadap ajaran agama Islam. c) Dimensi penghayatan atau pengalaman batin yang dirasakan peserta didik dalam menjalankan ajaran Isla

TUDI LIFETIME SENSOR pH BERBASIS SERAT OPTIK

Telah dibuat sampel sensor pH berbais serat optik dengan immobilisasi indikator pH dengan proses sol-gel. Indikator pH yang digunakan adalah bromophenol blue dengan TEOS (tetra ethyl ortho silicate) sebagai lapisan tipis silika murni yang melekatkannya pada serat optik. Untuk mengetahui lifetime-nya, sensor pH diuji dengan operational lifetime test, yakni diberi perlakukan dengan dicelup pada larutan ber-pH 5 dan temperatur 40 derajat Celcius. Diperolah hasil bahwa sensor pH berbasis serat optik yang telah dibuat mempunyai rentang pengukuran pH antara 5 sampai 7. Semakin lama diberi perlakuan, semakin besar penurunan peformansi yang dialami oleh sensor pH. Hal ini disebabkan oleh hilangnya sebagian lapisan sol-gel yang ada pada optrode. Dari perlakuan yang telah diberikan, diketahui bahwa usia pakai sampel sensor pH adalah selama 57 jam pemakaian
