    Pengembangan Modul Biologi SMA Kelas X Berbasis Etnobotani Masyarakat Kediri dan Sekitarnya Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa

    The purpose of this study is to produce high school biology modules based on the ethnobotany of the people in Kediri and its surroundings to improve student learning outcomes. The development research used the Borg and Gall model which was tested on students of SMAN 1 Plemahan. Based on the results of the material expert validator's assessment, the percentage is 98.82%; according to development experts by 80%; according to media experts by 88%; and according to user experts the percentage is 95.25%. The results of the four expert validators are each at a very valid level. The results of the practicality test are 97.5% and interpreted in the very practical category. The results of the effectiveness test have an average N-gain of 0.58 with moderate criteria in the category of quite effective for improving student learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul biologi SMA berbasis etnobotani masyarakat Kediri dan sekitarnya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model Borg and Gall yang diujicobakan pada siswa SMAN 1 Plemahan. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian validator ahli materi persentasenya sebesar 98,82%; menurut ahli pengembangan sebesar 80%; menurut ahli media sebesar 88%; dan menurut ahli pengguna persentasenya sebesar 95,25%. Hasil dari keempat validator ahli masing-masing berada pada tingkat sangat valid. Hasil dari uji kepraktisan yaitu sebesar 97,5% dan diinterpretasikan dalam kategori sangat praktis.     PROGRAM WASTE TO PRODUCT UNTUK SANTRI PONDOK PESANTREN RADEN RAHMAT SUNAN AMPEL KABUPATEN JEMBER

    AbstrakEdukasi pengelolaan sampah dari sumbernya sangat penting untuk mengurangi timbulan sampah di Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA). Santri Pondok Pesantren sebagai agent of change perlu mendapatkan pelatihan pengelolaan sampah agar menjadi pelopor zero waste management di masyarakat. Pihak pengelola juga merencanakan untuk mengembangkan pondok pesantren yang berwawasan lingkungan. Adapun permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra, meliputi: 1). Belum tersedianya sarana pengelolaan sampah yang cukup; 2) Belum dilakukan pengelolaan sampah dari kegiatan domestik; 3) Santri belum pernah mendapatkan pelatihan kewirausahaan berbasis pemanfaatan limbah. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah pengelolaan minyak jelantah serta pembuatan kokedama. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan sosialisasi pengelolaan sampah serta memberikan pelatihan dengan memanfaatkan sampah sebagai bekal untuk berwirausaha berbasis lingkungan. Metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi :1). Persiapan (survey dan diskusi); 2). Keterampilan (Sosialisasi materi Pengolahan Sampah dan Pelatihan Waste to Product) dan 3). Evaluasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-Oktober 2021. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini terlaksana dengan sukses sesuai dengan target yang direncanakan, meliputi penyaluran bantuan tempat sampah 3R, sosialasi urgensi pengolahan sampah serta pelatihan waste to product. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan meningkatkan wawasan peserta kegiatan akan pengelolaan sampah serta memunculkan proyeksi untuk berwirausaha dengan memanfaatkan sampahAbstractEducation on waste management from sources is a very important activity for reducing waste generation in final disposal sites. Islamic boarding school students, as agents of change, should receive training in waste management to become pioneers of zero waste management in their community. The management team also plans to develop an environmentally friendly Islamic boarding school. The problems faced by partners include: 1) a lack of adequate waste management facilities; 2) proper waste management has not been implemented in the Islamic boarding school environment; and 3) the members of the pesantren have never received training in entrepreneurship. The purpose of this activity is to provide socialization on waste management and to provide training by utilizing waste as a source for environmental-based entrepreneurship. The solutions offered are the management of used cooking oil and Kokedama. Methods for the community service activity include: 1) preparation (survey and discussion); 2) dissemination of materials on waste processing and waste-to-product training; and 3) evaluation. The activity was carried out from August to October 2021. This community service activity was carried out successfully, meeting the planned targets, including the distribution of 3R trash bins, socialization on the urgency of waste processing, and waste-to-product training. The results of the evaluation showed that participants' knowledge of waste management increased and they developed projections for entrepreneurship by utilizing waste

    Indonesia is the center of diversity of the Piperaceae family. Piperaceae is often used as traditional medicine, food, ornamental plants, ritual plants and as an economic value for the community. Anatomical utilization of Piperaceae is still not widely done. Therefore, this research is important to find out the members of Piperaceae when viewed from the anatomy of stomata and leaf reinforcement. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of plants of the Piperaceae family found in Bandealit TNMB and to determine variations in stomatal anatomy and leaf reinforcement in the Piperaceae family. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative quantitative research. The results showed that the stomata in the Piperaceae family varied as well as the leaf reinforcement they had. The Piperaceae family found in Bandealit TNMB comes from 2 genera, namely the Piper genus and the Peperomia genus, each of which has varied stomata and leaf reinforcement. Further research needs to be done on stomata and leaf reinforcement in the Piperaceae family

    The Development of AKSI (Aktualisasi Siswa) Learning Model to Improve Higher Order Thinking Skills of Natural Science in Junior High School

    This research aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective Aksi learning model. The research method used is development research with adaptation of Thiagarajan development steps. Based on the results of the needs analysis on the questionnaire given to 15 science teachers in several regions in East Java, educators stated that the students' higher-order thinking skills were not optimal. Higher-order thinking skills show that students have C4, C5, and C6 knowledge abilities. Based on these data it is necessary to develop a learning model that fits the needs, the Aksi learning model. This research aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective Aksi learning model. The research method used is development research with an adaptation of the development steps developed by Thiagarajan. The 4D development model is carried out with 4 research stages namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Aksi learning model development research produces data in the form of valid, practical, and effective values. The Aksi learning model has a validity score of 88.10% in the very valid category. The practicality value of the observation of the implementation is 89.24% in the very practical category, the teacher response test was 89,38% in the very practical category, and the student response test was 84.12% in the very practical category. The value of the model's effectiveness is to get an N-gain score for high-level thinking skills, which is 0.7 in the high category

    Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Learning Cycle (5E) Berbasis STEM Terhadap Literasi Sains dan Hasil Belajar Siswa

    The low scientific literacy of students in Indonesia is caused by learning activities which have not been oriented to the development of scientific literacy. This study aims to examine how the influence of biology learning at MAN 1 Jember using STEM learning combined with the 5E learning cycle learning model on scientific literacy and learning outcomes. The research design used was Control-Group Post Test Only Design. The data collection technique for the main data is the use of scientific literacy ability tests and student learning outcomes tests with Mann Whitney U Test. There is an effect of the STEM-based learning cycle (5E) learning model on the scientific literacy of class X students of MAN I Jember.Rendahnya literasi sains pada siswa di Indonesia ini disebabkan oleh kegiatan pembelajaran yang mana belum terorientasi dengan pengembangan literasi sains. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana pengaruh pembelajaran biologi khususnya materi Fungi di MAN 1 Jember yang menggunakan pembelajaran STEM yang dipadukan dengan model pembelajaran learning cycle 5e terhadap literasi sains dan hasil belajar. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Control-Group Post Test Only Design. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data untuk data utama menggunakan tes kemampuan literasi sains dan tes hasil belajar siswa dengan uji Mann Whitney U Test.     Pengembangan Buku Nonteks Biologi SMA Kelas X Berbasis Pengetahuan Etnobotani di Kabupaten Situbondo

    This study aims to produce non-textbooks based on ethnobotany in Situbondo district as a source of quality student learning with a valid, practical, and effective nature. The research used the Borg and Gall development model which consisted of 5 stages according to research needs. The research subjects were students from two class X MIPA at SMAN 1 Panarukan. Non-text books are validated by material expert validators, development experts, media experts, and linguists. The results of quantitative data analysis that have been validated by the validator with an average book value percentage of 85.75% are included in the eligibility criteria as very valid. The cloze test procedure results obtained an average percentage of 80.3% which is in the easy category. The average result of the N-Gain value is 0.58 which is included in the moderate effectiveness category. Non-text books that have been developed have good quality effectiveness, practicality, and readability to be used in classroom learning activities, especially on Kingdom Plantae material.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku nonteks berbasis etnobotani kabupaten Situbondo sebagai sumber belajar siswa yang berkualitas dan bersiffat valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan sesuai kebutuhan penelitian. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa dari dua kelas X MIPA di SMAN 1 Panarukan. Buku nonteks divalidasi oleh validator ahli materi, ahli pengembangan, ahli media, dan ahli Bahasa. Hasil analisis data kuantitatif yang telah divalidasi oleh validator dengan rata-rata persentase nilai buku 85,75% termasuk ke dalam kriteria kelayakan sangat valid. Hasil uji rumpang atau Cloze Test Procedure diperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 80,3% yang termasuk kategori mudah. Hasil rata-rata nilai N-Gain adalah 0,58 yang termasuk kategori efektivitas yang sedang. Buku nonteks yang telah dikembangkan memiliki kualitas efektivitas, kepraktisan, dan keterbacaan yang baik untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas khususnya pada materi Kingdom Plantae. Kata kunci: Sumber belajar, buku nonteks, etnobotani, validasi  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jbt.v9i2.2231

    Abstract.Inqury approach is considered to be able to improve student’s intellectual potentially informulates the problem, making hypothesis, collecting the data, testing the hypothesis, and making conclusions. This research intended to know the  quality of inquiry-based student book that have been developed and toincrease the student achievementsafter uses inquiry-based student bookon the pollution and environmental damage subject for VII grade of state junior high school 1 Maesan Bondowoso. This research refered to Borg and Gall model, but it is restricted untilthe seventh step (research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision). This research used 5 validators to assess the quality of the book and, 12 students in preliminary field testing and 21 students in main field testing. Data obtained from student and teacher questionnaires, validator sheets, questionnaires of the legitility and difficulty level, pretest, postest and student’s response questionnaires. The result of this research showed that inquiry-based student book can improve average of student achievements by 25,90.     Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa guru menggunakan metode ceramah. Metode ini menjadikan guru sebagai pusat pembelajaran sehingga siswa cenderung hanya mendengarkan tanpa adanya stimulus yang mendorong interaksi antar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Strategi pembelajaran yang mampu mendorong siswa untuk berinteraksi dan aktif dalam pembelajaran adalah strategi Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) dan metode praktikum. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode praktikum dan strategi Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) pada Mata Pelajaran IPA-Biologi sub bahasan Struktur dan Fungsi Jaringan pada Tumbuhan dan Fotosintesis kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Jelbuk Jember. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan kolaborasi dalam rangkaian kegiatan (plan, do, dan see). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus dan masing-masing siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Dalam penelitian ini analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif.. Data yang dianalisis pada penelitian ini antara lain aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPA Biologi yang diperoleh dari hasil pembelajaran melalui penerapan metode praktikum dan strategi Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE). Penilaian meliputi penilaian aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar ranah kognitif, psikomotor dan afektif siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode praktikum dan startegi Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Pada aktivitas bertanya dan menjawab pertanyaan mencapai nilai 85, bekerjasama 87, diskusi 90,75, dan menyampaikan pendapat 81. Hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif juga mengalami peningkatan dari rerata nilai 62,5 pada pra siklus mencapai nilai 73 pada siklus I dan 81,15 pada siklus II.   Kata kunci : praktikum, strategi RTE, aktivitas, hasil belaja

    Abstract : Teaching and learning activities using SPPKB conducted dialogically between teacher and students. Synargetic Teaching is a strategy that involves two different ways and activities. In synergetic teaching, the class is divided into two major groups (group A and group B), respectively - each class will be separated and occupy different classrooms. In each group will be given different strategies or methods. In the present study, group A were given lessons using the discussion method and group B which was in a different classroom with the group A treated by using learning strategy improved the ability to think. After completion of learning activities in the two groups finished, group A and group B will be merged into a single class and pairs back - paired (one student from group A and one other student from group B), students who have been paired will exchange their learning experiences with each other exchanging remarks and explain what each of them obtained from the learning activities they do in their groups – respectively. Classes that used as the experiment is the class 8D and class that used to control is a class 8C. Data analysis was performed using ANAKOVA test. ANAKOVA test results for pre-test and post-test shows that the improvement of learning strategies using synergetic teaching thinking skills has a probability (P) <0.05, and the test results INDEPENDENT SAMPLE T-TEST on the results of student learning activities indicate the probability (P) <0.05. Gain Value test is used to see the effectiveness, the effectiveness of the experiment class learning strategy improved the ability to think using synergetic teaching on learning outcomes of student is 76.324% which into the high category and grade control using conventional methods (discussion) is 58.427%, which into the normal category. Can be conluded that learning strategy for improving the ability to think using synergetic teaching effectively can improve the learning outcomes and activities of students.     Abstract. PAIKEM is a learning approach colaborated with PQ4R strategy it can transfer the student understanding from short-term memory into there long-term memory through reading activity in such way the learning atmosphere became innovative, creative, effective, fun. The purpose of this research was to increase students learning activity and achievement in XI IPA 2 MAN Genteng. The research is Classroom Action Research. The result showed that learning activity from pre-cycle to the first cycle increased 21.91% and from cycle I to cycle II increased 7,24%. Achievement from pre-cycle to the cycle I also increased 9,06 and from cycle I to cycle II increased 12.75. It can be concluded that PAIKEM with PQ4R strategy can be used to improved students learning activity and achievement in Biology lesson.
