    Peningkatan Kemampuan Menyimpulkan Teks Persuasi Melalui Model Pembelajaran Example Non Example Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Selatan

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimpulkan Teks Persuasi melalui model pembelajaran Example Non Example pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Selatan Tahun Pembelajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Prosedur pelaksanaanya terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu (1) perencanaan (2) tindakan (3) observasi (4) refleksi. Peneliti menggunakan beberapa instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi, tes essay, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Sebagai subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XIII SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ternyata ada peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran Example Non Example terhadap menyimpulkan teks persuasi. Pada Siklus I pertemuan I hasil observasi siswa yang aktif 39.16% dan yang tidak aktif 60.83%. Hasil observasi yang sudah dilakukan peneliti 58.82% dan yang belum dilakukan peneliti 41.17%. Pada siklus I pertemuan II hasil observasi siswa yang aktif 49.16% dan yang tidak aktif 50.83%. Hasil observasi yang sudah dilakukan peneliti 64.70% dan yang belum dilakukan peneliti 35.29%. Pada Siklus II pertemuan I hasil observasi siswa yang aktif 75% dan yang kurang tidak 25%. Hasil observasi yang sudah dilakukan peneliti 82.35% dan yang belum dilakukan peneliti 17.64%. Pada siklus II pertemuan II hasil observasi siswa yang aktif 90.83% dan yang tidak aktif 9.16%. Hasil observasi yang sudah dilakukan peneliti 100% dan yang belum dilakukan peneliti 0%

    Pembelajaran membaca teks klasifikasi peserta didik kelas X-MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Idanoi belum terlaksana secara optimal karena pembelajaran yang dilakukan belum mampu memotivasi peserta didik dengan baik. Perlu metode dan media pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan mampu memotivasi peserta didik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah keterampilan membaca peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Idanoi. Adapun sumber data penelitian ini adalah kelas X-MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Idanoi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan secara signifikan. Rata-rata nilai keterampilan peserta didik, keterampilan membaca teks klasifikasi diikuti perubahan sikap religius dan sosial ke arah positif yang lebih baik. Respon peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran juga sangatlah baik

    Menulis pantun adalah serangkaian kegiatan seseorang untuk menuangkan  pengetahuan atau pengalaman yang dimilikinya ke dalam bentuk tulisan yang ditandai oleh adanya bagian lampiran dan bagian isi sehingga memiliki keterikatan tertentu yang diperhatikan oleh penulis yakni tiap bait terdiri dari 4 baris, tiap baris terdiri atas 8 sampai 12 suku kata, sajaknya a-b-a-b atau bunyi akhir baris pertama sama dengan bunyi akhir baris ketiga, dan bunyi akhir baris kedua sama dengan bunyi akhir baris keempat, dan kedua baris pertama merupakan lampiran, sedangkan isinya terdapat pada kedua baris terakhir.     E-Module Development Using Professional 3D Pageflip on Negotiation Materials

    The aims of this study were to (1) develop e-module media using 3D Pageflip Professional on negotiation materials, (2) find out the feasibility of e-modules by material experts, linguists and media experts, (3) find out the practicality of e-modules through trials. individual, small group trials, and field trials, (4) determine the effectiveness of e-modules through the results of student evaluations. This study was developed using a 4D model consisting of four stages, namely definition, planning, development, and dissemination. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the results of the validation by material experts were in the first revision 58.6%, the second revision 75% and the last revision 97%. The results of validation by linguists in the first revision were 60.7%, the second revision was 82% and the last revision was 96%. The results of the validation by media experts at the first revision were 50%, the second revision was 70% and the last revision was 93%. The results of individual trials are 50%, small group trials, 80%, and field trials 97.8%. The results of completeness obtained in the final evaluation reached 100% completeness. So, it can be concluded that the e-module media that has been developed by researchers can be said to be feasible, practical and effective as a learning reference in various schools. The suggestion from the researcher is that through the e-module media students are more motivated to learn and this media can also be useful for educators when teaching

    IMPROVING STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN WRITING ANNOUNCEMENT THROUGH GALLERY WALK TECHNIQUE AT THE TENTH GRADE OF SMA NEGERI 1 GUNUNGSITOLI IDANOI IN 2022/2023

    This research was aimed to improve the students’ ability in writing announcement through Gallery Walk Technique at tenth grade of SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Idanoi in 2022/2023. The researcher employed a classroom action research design conducted over two cycles. The research focused on the students of X-MIPA. The instruments utilized for this study were a writing test, and an observation sheet. The results of each cycle revealed that in Cycle I, the technique was not successful. Therefore, the research continued to the next cycle after revising the plan based on the weaknesses identified in Cycle I. The findings of Cycle II indicated that 7 students (33%) reached the 'good' level, while 14 students (67%) achieved the 'very good' level. These results demonstrate that the implementation of the 'Gallery Walk Technique' in this study successfully enhanced students’ writing announcement text

    This research aims to find out how the ability of teachers in applying learning based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (Hots), the obstacles encountered by teachers and to know the efforts made by the teacher in overcoming obstacles in Applying Learning based on Hots in the State High School 2 Gunungsitoli. This research uses a descriptive approach with qualitative methods. The purpose of the use of a description approach is to find meaning that begins from the facts by performing observations recording all facts holistically scientifically with the observed problem. The research instrument used in this study was the researcher himself using his cell phones as a tool to record all the conversations, the results of images as real evidence, and a notebook that serves to record conversations with data sources or informants. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the research and discussion concluded that: First, Teacher's Ability to Apply Higher Order Thinking Skills (Hots) in Higher High Schools (State Secondary Schools) is Ability in Preparing Learning Plans, Hots-driven Learning Design Ability, Asking Questions that Drive High Level Thinking, Supporting Students in Hots Thinking Processes, and Evaluating Hots Skills. Second, The obstacles faced by Teacher PPKn in Applying Higher Orders Thinking skills (HOTS) in high schools are The deep understanding of the concept of Hots learning material is still limited, The curriculum and evaluation are not supported, The time is limited because Hots Learning often requires longer time because it involves more in-depth thinking and complex, the availability of insufficient resources such as reading, learning materials, media or technology. Thirdly, the efforts made by Master PPKn in Applying Learning Based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (Hots) overcome the obstacles of providing training and development to teachers on Hots learning concepts and strategies, further providing learning resources and learning materials that support the application of Hots as well as monitoring and evaluation of implementation of learning Hots

    Penelitian  ini  adalah  siswa kelas delapan dan guru bahasa Inggris. Proses belajar mengajar akan berjalan efektif  bila ada interaksi antara guru dan siswa.  Interaksi di kelas merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam proses belajar  mengajar. Bertanya telah diakui  sebagai  peralatan guru kelas dan pengajaran mendalam hingga menonjol. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah  untuk mengidentifikasi jenis pertanyaan dasar yang diajukan oleh guru. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan observasi dan wawancara dengan pendidik dan siswa sebagai responden.  Populasi  penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gido. data di investigasi dengan menerapkan strategi bertanya yang terfokus pada ragam pertanyaan guru.  Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa seluruh pertanyaan guru ditemukan paling sering digunakan.  Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pertanyaan dari guru lebih dominan dari pada pertanyaan siswa. Saran ditujukan kepada guru bahasa Inggris dan peneliti selanjutnya.  Bagi guru bahasa Inggris, di sini peneliti memberikan saran agar strategi yang telah diterapkan dapat dikembangkan oleh guru dan dimungkinkan bagi guru bahasa Inggris untuk menerapkan strategi lain untuk memudahkan siswa dalam belajar .dan untuk peneliti selanjutnya, diharapkan peneliti selanjutnya lebih baik lagi terkait dengan topik penelitian ini

    Improving the Students Ability in Reading Coprehension through Narrative Text by Using Reciprocal Teaching at the Eight Grade of SMP Negeri 5 Gunungsitoli in 2022/2023

    Reading comprehension is one of the important skills that must be learned by students. However, students had several problems in learning reading comprehension of narrative texts which caused the MCC not to be achieved by students. These problems are lack of vocabulary, unable to find students' main ideas, and unable to identify the generic structure of narrative text. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to improve students' reading comprehension skills in narrative texts through Reciprocal Teaching. This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of several procedures, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research instrument used observation sheets, evaluation sheets and field notes. The results of Cycle I showed that most of the students had not been able to reach the MCC. The average grade of students is 50.66. There were 20 students who failed and 10 students who passed the MCC. There were 8 students (26.66%) in fail level, 12 students (40.10%) in less level, 4 students (13.34%) in enough level, 3 students (10%) in Good. and 3 students (10%) in very good category. While in Cycle II, it shows that all students have achieved MCC. The average grade of students is 92.33. There were no students who were put into the less, fail, and enough categories. There were 8 students (26.66%) in  good level, and 22 students (73.33%) in very good level. Based on the results above, it can be seen that Reciprocal Teaching has improve students' reading comprehension skills in narrative texts

    The Descriptive Analysis of Students’ Ability in Translating Analytical Exposition Text at the Eleventh Grade of SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli in 2022/2023

    The purpose of this study is to analyze the students’ ability in translating analytical exposition text at the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli. This research used descriptive research approach. The data was students’ translation analytical exposition text by eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli. The instrument that used to collect the data were test and questionnaire sheet. The data was analyzed by using translation scoring rubric that consist of three main aspect, namely: Accuracy, Readability, and acceptability. Furthermore, the researcher presented the data with percentage of scoring and described it into a description paragraph. The result of study showed that students’ score in translating analytical exposition text was 44,8. From the questionnaire, this research showed the students difficulties in translating long sentences was the most prominent factors that caused the students have difficulties in translating the text with the highest percentage was 63,8%. Based on the result of this research, the researcher suggest that the teacher should give more exercise or practice in translation activity, so that the students can overcome the difficulties that students face and make a good translation without difficulties

    PENGEMBANGAN E-MODUL MENGGUNAKAN 3D PAGEFLIP PROFESIONAL PADA MATERI KARYA ILMIAH DI SMA

    Penelitian ini didasari dengan hasil observasi yang dilakukan peneliti di SMA Negeri 1 Gido khususnya di kelas XI-IIS 1. Hasil observasi yang diperoleh ialah penggunaan media ajar yang masih tradisional sehingga peserta didik bosan dan tidak termotivasi dalam proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengembangkan e-modul menggunakan aplikasi 3D Pageflip Professional pada materi karya ilmiah dengan model pengembangan ADDIE, (2) mengetahui kelayakan e-modul menggunakan aplikasi 3D Pageflip Professional pada materi karya ilmiah oleh para ahli/validator, (3) mengetahui kepraktisan e-modul pada materi karya ilmiah dengan melakukan tahap uji coba produk, (4) mengetahui efektivas e-modul berdasarkan hasil evaluasi akhir oleh peserta didik. Penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu analyze (analisis), design (desain), development (pengembangan), implementation (implementasi), dan evaluation (evaluasi). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil validasi oleh ahli materi adalah pada revisi pertama 69%, dan revisi kedua 94%. Hasil validasi oleh ahli bahasa pada revisi pertama 75% dan revisi kedua 93% Hasil validasi oleh ahli media pada revisi pertama 47% dan revisi kedua 91%. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil 73%, dan uji coba lapangan 97%. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media e-modul yang telah dikembangkan peneliti dapat dikatakan layak, praktis dan efektif dijadikan sebagai media dan referensi belajar yang dapat digunakan di sekolah
