The principle of least action and two-point boundary value problems in orbital mechanics
Abstract-We consider a two-point boundary value problem (TPBVP) in orbital mechanics involving a small body (e.g., a spacecraft or asteroid) and N larger bodies. The least action principle TPBVP formulation is converted into an initial value problem via the addition of an appropriate terminal cost to the action functional. The latter formulation is used to obtain a fundamental solution, which may be used to solve the TPBVP for a variety of boundary conditions within a certain class. In particular, the method of convex duality allows one to interpret the least action principle as a differential game, where an opposing player maximizes over an indexed set of quadratics to yield the gravitational potential. The fundamental solution is obtained as a set of solutions of associated Riccati equations
EFFECTS OF MO, CR, AND V ADDITIONS ON TENSILE AND CHARPY IMPACT PROPERTIES OF API X80 PIPELINE STEELS
In this study, four API X80 pipeline steels were fabricated by varying Mo, Cr, and V additions, and their microstructures and crystallographic orientations were analyzed to investigate the effects of their alloying compositions on tensile properties and Charpy impact properties. Because additions of Mo and V promoted the formation of fine acicular ferrite (AF) and granular bainite (GB) while prohibiting the formation of coarse GB, they increased the strength and upper-shelf energy (USE) and decreased the energy transition temperature (ETT). The addition of Cr promoted the formation of coarse GB and hard secondary phases, thereby leading to an increased effective grain size, ETT, and strength, and a decreased USE. The addition of V resulted in a higher strength, a higher USE, a smaller effective grain size, and a lower ETT, because it promoted the formation of fine and homogeneous of AF and GB. The steel that contains 0.3 wt pct Mo and 0.06 wt pct V without Cr had the highest USE and the lowest ETT, because its microstructure was composed of fine AF and GB while its maintained excellent tensile properties.X1126sciescopu
Arterial Injury Associated with Tension-Free Vaginal Tapes-SECUR Procedure Successfully Treated by Radiological Embolization
Various postoperative complications have been reported after the use of tension-free vaginal tapes (TVT). The transobturator approach was introduced to minimize the potential complications. The next generation of recently introduced TVT-SECUR is intended to minimize the incidence of complications. Herein we report a case of internal pudendal artery injury sustained during this procedure that was successfully treated by radiological embolization. Angiography with vessel embolization, when available, should be considered when the arterial injury is suspected
Struvite Crystallization of Anaerobic Digestive Fluid of Swine Manure Containing Highly Concentrated Nitrogen
In this study, the optimal operation factors for struvite crystallization for removing and recovering nitrogen and phosphorus from anaerobic digestive fluid of swine manure containing highly concentrated nitrogen was determined. Every experiment for the struvite crystallization reaction was conducted by placing 1,000 mL of digestion fluid in a 2,000 mL Erlenmeyer flask at various temperatures, pH, and mixing speed. Except for special circumstances, the digestion fluid was centrifuged (10,000 rpm, 10 min) and then the supernatant was used for the experiment at room temperature and 100 rpm. The optimal mole ratio of PO43−:Mg2+ was 1:1.5, and the pH effect ranging from 9 to 11 was similar, when mixed for 1 hour. Under this condition, the removal efficiency of NH4+-N and PO43−-P was 40% and 88.6%, respectively. X-shaped crystal was observed by light and scanning electron microscopy. Using aberration test patterns to optimize the performance of EUV aerial imaging microscopes
The SEMATECH Berkeley Actinic Inspection Tool (AIT) is a prototype EUV-wavelength zoneplate microscope that provides high quality aerial image measurements of EUV reticles. To simplify and improve the alignment procedure we have created and tested arrays of aberration-sensitive patterns on EUV reticles and we have compared their images collected with the AIT to the expected shapes obtained by simulating the theoretical wavefront of the system. We obtained a consistent measure of coma and astigmatism in the center of the field of view using two different patterns, revealing a misalignment condition in the optics

Detectability and Printability of EUVL Mask Blank Defects for the 32 nm HP Node
The readiness of a defect-free extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUVL) mask blank infrastructure is one of the main enablers for the insertion of EUVL technology into production. It is essential to have sufficient defect detection capability and understanding of defect printability to develop a defect-free EUVL mask blank infrastructure. The SEMATECH Mask Blank Development Center (MBDC) has been developing EUVL mask blanks with low defect densities with the Lasertec M1350 and M7360, the 1st and 2nd generations, respectively, of visible light EUVL mask blank inspection tools. Although the M7360 represents a significant improvement in our defect detection capability, it is time to start developing a 3rd generation tool for EUVL mask blank inspection. The goal of this tool is to detect all printable defects; therefore, understanding defect printability criteria is critical to this tool development. In this paper, we will investigate the defect detectability of a 2nd generation blank inspection tool and a patterned EUVL mask inspection tool. We will also compare the ability of the inspection tools to detect programmed defects whose printability has been estimated from wafer printing results and actinic aerial images results
Investigation of the mechanism of the anomalous Hall effects in Cr2Te3/(BiSb)2(TeSe)3 heterostructure
The interplay between ferromagnetism and the non-trivial topology has
unveiled intriguing phases in the transport of charges and spins. For example,
it is consistently observed the so-called topological Hall effect (THE)
featuring a hump structure in the curve of the Hall resistance (Rxy) vs. a
magnetic field (H) of a heterostructure consisting of a ferromagnet (FM) and a
topological insulator (TI). The origin of the hump structure is still
controversial between the topological Hall effect model and the multi-component
anomalous Hall effect (AHE) model. In this work, we have investigated a
heterostructure consisting of BixSb2-xTeySe3-y (BSTS) and Cr2Te3 (CT), which
are well-known TI and two-dimensional FM, respectively. By using the so-called
minor-loop measurement, we have found that the hump structure observed in the
CT/BSTS is more likely to originate from two AHE channels. Moreover, by
analyzing the scaling behavior of each amplitude of two AHE with the
longitudinal resistivities of CT and BSTS, we have found that one AHE is
attributed to the extrinsic contribution of CT while the other is due to the
intrinsic contribution of BSTS. It implies that the proximity-induced
ferromagnetic layer inside BSTS serves as a source of the intrinsic AHE,
resulting in the hump structure explained by the two AHE model
