The results of the research list significant abstract nouns and multiword units in political discourse for the proficient user of English. Discourse analysis is based on the chronology of the most important events and facts from twentieth and twenty-first century Britain

"Unsere Frau Božena Němcová" als Heldin eines deutschen Films : Möglichkeiten einer interkulturellen und interdisziplinären Begegnung

Božena Němcová zählt neben Hus, Comenius, Mácha und Havlíček zu den am stärksten mythologisierten Gestalten der tschechischen Kultur (SCHAMSCHULA 1996) und ist darüber hinaus die einzige Frau unter ihnen. Während sie aber bis in die 1990er Jahre hinein als Lichtgestalt dieser Kultur, ja ihr ,Stern‘, galt, mehren sich gegen Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts die Versuche, Němcová nüchtern zu sehen. Als Dagmar KNÖPFEL 2004 auf der Grundlage der drei letzten Briefentwürfe Němcovás an Vojtěch Náprstek einen Film drehte, wurde sie als „feministisch voreingenommen“ kritisiert. Dabei könnte über diesen Film eine Diskussion eingeleitet werden, z. B. zu den Wurzeln der häuslichen Gewalt im 19. Jahrhundert. Somit könnte er zur Vernetzung von Kunst und Wissenschaft, von Bohemistik und Germanistik beitragen

Evaluation of Business Performance by Using Benchmarking Method

Diplomová práce je rozdělena na dva hlavní bloky. V první části práce je věnován prostor teoretickým východiskům práce, tím je stručný úvod do problematiky výkonnosti podniku a využití moderních ukazatelů k jeho měření s důrazem na benchmarking. Ve druhé části práce se zabýváme praktickou aplikací nabytých informací a to na konkrétním podniku. Je provedena analýza současné situace s dalšími firmami ve stejném oboru. Za pomocí finančních analýzy, SWOT matice identifikujeme slabé a silné stránky podniku. Nejpodstatnější část práce se věnuje benchmarkingu založeném na veřejně dostupných datech z finančních výkazů. Na základě zjištěných informací jsou navrženy adekvátní možnosti oblasti zlepšování a doporučení pro vyhodnocovaný podnikThe thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is focusing to theoretical bases of work, it is a brief introduction to business performance and utilization of modern indicators to measure it with an emphasis on benchmarking. In second part, we deal with the practical application of information acquired and that a specific enterprise. It is an analysis of the current situation with companies in the same field of business. With the help of financial analysis, SWOT matrix identify the strengths and weaknesses of the company. The most important part is devoted to benchmarking based on publicly available data from the financial statements. For these purposes, I especially enjoyed the information from the available statement. Based on the information they are designed adequate opportunities in improving and recommendations for evaluating enterprise.

"[E]in Ort der Lebendigen und der Toten" : Konstituierung und Aufhebung der Grenze zwischen Leben und Tod in Marie Luise Kaschnitz' Selbstfindungsbuch "Wohin denn ich" (1963)

Selten findet man am Ausgangspunkt einer Handlung ein defizitäreres Ich, als dies bei Kaschnitz' "Aufzeichnungen" "Wohin denn ich" der Fall ist; und zwar sowohl mental als auch körperlich. Seit drei Jahren ist dieses Ich bemüht, einem geliebten Du in den Tod zu folgen, und führt ein dumpfes Schattendasein. Als der symbolische Herr "Welte oder Welter" eingreift, der das Ich für eine Schriftstellerin hält und diese auf Vortragsreisen schickt, muss erst das Terrain "Diesseits" erkämpft werden: Alles ist fremd, alles ist bedroht, am meisten das "Waisenhaus Erde". – Der vorliegende Beitrag soll zeigen, wie Kaschnitz in diesem Buch zuerst die Grenze zwischen Leben und Tod aufrichtet, um das eigene Ich im Ersteren einzufangen. Damit daraufhin auch das Du an diesem Reich teilhaben kann, wird eine Art "Zwischenraum" etabliert, schließlich aber die Welt zu "eine[m] Ort der Lebendigen und der Toten"(GW II: 489) erklärt, was die Grenze zwischen Leben und Tod wiederum aufhebt. Erst diese erweiterte Welt hat die Aussicht auf ein Weiterbestehen

Evaluation of the Financial Situation of the Company and Proposals to its Improvement

Bakalářská práce se zabývá hodnocením finanční situace vybraného podniku za období 2009 - 2013. Aplikací teoretických poznatků získaných při zpracování práce je vyhodnoceno finanční zdraví podniku prostřednictvím finanční analýzy. Na základě zjištěných výsledků jsou navrhnuta opatření směřující ke zlepšení situace podniku.The bachelor's thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial situation in the selected company during the period of years 2009 - 2013. By the application of theoretical knowledge obtained by working on this thesis is evaluated the financial health of the company through the financial analysis. Based on the results there are the proposals leading up to the improvement of the company's situation.

Videomapping

V této bakalářské práci podrobuji vzrůstající fenomén nejčastěji zvaný videomapping pohledu historika umění, což je v současném diskurzu nové; teoretická reflexe přichází spíše od samotných tvůrců nebo různými díly z jiných odvětví. Práce se zabývá téměř výhradně video projekcemi (digitálními, výjimečně i analogovými), tedy nikoli světelným designem, a v menších tématických okruzích představuje různé typy přístupů. Cílem bude podat kritickou analýzu možností tohoto relativně nového media a pozitivně, skrze příklady, přispět k vyjasňování hranic mezi uměleckou intervencí a ryze komerčním produktem. Součástí této práce je syntetický přehled různých realizací a technických milníků. Speciální pozornost se věnuje realizacím v České republice a v Itálii, odkud o fenoménu pochází nejvíce literatury. Tento fenomén se nezdá být lokálně vymezitelný; kvůli velké zakořeněnosti na internetové síti je silná mezinárodní výměna a obchod. In the contemporary discourse this might be a new approach; the scarce theoretical reflexions are coming predominantly from the creators themselves or from other branches. The work evolves strictly around the projections of video (in digital format with a few analogue exceptions), that is not lighting design, and in smaller thematic chapters presents various types of approaches. The aim of this thesis is to present a critical analysis of the possibilities of this relatively new medium, and it wants to help to further clarify the distinction between artistic intervention and a purely commercial product. In this work it is possible to find my own synthetic overview of realizations and technical milestones. Special attention is payed to realisations from Czech Republic and Italy, from where comes the majority of literature. This phenomenon does not seem to be locally definable, because it is very much rooted in the world wide web, therefore the international contacts and exchange are strong.
