Aim of study: To develop a whole row automatic pick-up device using air force to blow out plug seedlings, to avoid the damage to seedlings that the current way of seedling picking by needle insertion induces.Area of study: Jiangsu Province, China.Material and methods: We designed a pick-up device which mainly consists of a seedling transporting device, a seedling air loosening device, a seedling clamping device and an automatic control system. The damage rate of seedling was significantly reduced and the success rate of seedling picking was increased by using the new seedling air loosening method and the new designed end-effectors. A prototype of the new pick-up device was produced according to the calculation results, and the performance tests were arranged under actual production conditions in an indoor laboratory.Main results: The calculation showed that when the diameter of the blowhole in air nozzle is 3.5 mm, and the air pressure is between 0.146 MPa and 0.315 MPa, the seedlings can be blown out successfully. Besides, the clamping strain test showed that the new designed end-effector can meet the requirements of seedling picking. The orthogonal test showed that both the air pressure and water content significantly affected the success ratio. The success ratio reached 96.64% when air pressure was 0.4 MPa, water content was 55%-60% and airflow rate was 100%, what meets the current requirements of transplanting.Research highlights: This research can provide some references for the automatic transplanting technology

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of CYP3A4 genetic polymorphisms on the metabolism of cyclosporine (CsA) in vitro and identify drugs that interact with CsA. An enzymatic incubation system was developed to evaluate the kinetic parameters of CYP3A4 on CsA catalysis. A total of 132 drugs were screened to identify potential drug–drug interactions. Sprague–Dawley rats were used to determine the interaction between CsA and nimodipine and nisoldipine. The metabolite AM1 was measured by ultra-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry. The results demonstrate that 16 CYP3A4 variants (CYP3A4.7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 19, 23, 24, 28, 31, 32, 33, and 34) have a lower metabolic capacity for CsA, ranging from 7.19% to 72.10%, than CYP3A4.1. In contrast, the relative clearance rate of CYP3A4.5 is significantly higher than that of CYP3A4.1. Moreover, CYP3A4.20 loses its catalytic ability, and five other variants have no significant difference. A total of 12 drugs, especially calcium channel blockers, were found to remarkably inhibit the metabolism of CsA with an inhibitory rate of over 80%. Nimodipine inhibits the activity of CsA in rat liver microsomes with an IC50 of 20.54 ± 0.93 μM, while nisoldipine has an IC50 of 16.16 ± 0.78 μM. In in vivo, three groups of Sprague–Dawley rats were administered CsA with or without nimodipine or nisoldipine; the AUC(0-t) and AUC(0-∞) of CsA were significantly increased in the nimodipine group but not obviously in the nisoldipine group. Mechanistically, the inhibition mode of nimodipine on cyclosporine metabolism is a mixed inhibition. Our data show that gene polymorphisms of CYP3A4 and nimodipine remarkably affect the metabolism of CsA, thus providing a reference for the precise administration of CsA

Quasi-Solid-State Ion-Conducting Arrays Composite Electrolytes with Fast Ion Transport Vertical-Aligned Interfaces for All-Weather Practical Lithium-Metal Batteries

The rapid improvement in the gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) with high ionic conductivity brought it closer to practical applications in solid-state Li-metal batteries. The combination of solvent and polymer enables quasi-liquid fast ion transport in the GPEs. However, different ion transport capacity between solvent and polymer will cause local nonuniform Li+^+ distribution, leading to severe dendrite growth. In addition, the poor thermal stability of the solvent also limits the operating-temperature window of the electrolytes. Optimizing the ion transport environment and enhancing the thermal stability are two major challenges that hinder the application of GPEs. Here, a strategy by introducing ion-conducting arrays (ICA) is created by vertical-aligned montmorillonite into GPE. Rapid ion transport on the ICA was demonstrated by 6^6Li solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance and synchrotron X-ray diffraction, combined with computer simulations to visualize the transport process. Compared with conventional randomly dispersed fillers, ICA provides continuous interfaces to regulate the ion transport environment and enhances the tolerance of GPEs to extreme temperatures. Therefore, GPE/ICA exhibits high room-temperature ionic conductivity (1.08 mS cm−1^{−1}) and long-term stable Li deposition/stripping cycles (> 1000 h). As a final proof, Li||GPE/ICA||LiFePO4_4 cells exhibit excellent cycle performance at wide temperature range (from 0 to 60 °C), which shows a promising path toward all-weather practical solid-state batteries

As population density increases, environmental hygiene and public health become increasingly severe. As the space where residents stay for the longest time and have the most profound impact on their physical and mental health, the quality of the environment in urban communities largely determines the degree to which residents engage in physical activity, bear the risk of pollution exposure, and obtain healthy food. Therefore, in order to ensure the physical and mental health of residents, this study proposes community planning guided by environmental hygiene and public health, and establishes an environmental health assessment system for this purpose. This system evaluates the community environment from four aspects: land use, service facilities, site convenience, and environmental quality. Established the diversity, density, road network connectivity and facilities accessibility nine criteria, as well as the land function of mix, plot ratio, food environment, network ring α and connected β index, pavement risk level, green configuration and neighborhood material environment disorder degree of 27 indicators of community built environmental evaluation index system. The data is collected through field survey, questionnaire distribution, resident interview and data mapping, and the established evaluation index system is used to evaluate the construction environment of the community. The experimental research data included population data, CAD plan, land use data, street data, POI point data, building data and bus station data, etc. 273 questionnaires were distributed, 264 were recovered, 8 invalid questionnaires were removed, and 256 valid questionnaires were obtained. These experiments confirm that land use, service facilities, site convenience, and environmental quality have a significant impact on the built environment of communities, with impact weights of 0.513, 0.227, 0.135, and 0.125, respectively. The above weights are calculated based on the index judgment matrix and the eigenvectors. The scores of land use, service facilities, site convenience, and environmental quality for the study subjects were 3.44, 1.46, 0.94, and 0.51, respectively, among them, the land use score is less than 3.85, the 1 service facility score is less than 1.71, the site convenience score is less than 1.01, and the environmental quality score is less than 0.94; indicating that the community has serious problems such as single land use types, pollution exposure, and difficulty in obtaining healthy food. Therefore, community planning and transformation based on land use, service facilities, venue convenience, and environmental quality can effectively improve the physical and mental health of residents. In the specific community transformation plan, artificial intelligence and data-driven methods can be used to optimize the land use plan, service facility configuration, site convenience transformation and environmental quality improvement, so as to formulate the optimal community transformation plan and improve the comfort and happiness of community residents. In the future, on the basis of the existing research, the selection of community types will be further enriched and the research cases will be expanded. And through the in-depth practical study of the case, the constructed evaluation index system is optimized and improved to make it more scientific. At the same time, as urban renewal and design have entered the era of stock planning, based on the more perfect evaluation index system, more specific and detailed system discussion of the built communities with public health problems, in order to provide more detailed services for the construction of a better and healthy living environment in the future

Impact of epicardial adipose tissue volume on hemodynamically significant coronary artery disease in Chinese patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease

BackgroundEpicardial adipose tissue (EAT) is directly related to coronary artery disease (CAD), but little is known about its role in hemodynamically significant CAD. Therefore, our goal is to explore the impact of EAT volume on hemodynamically significant CAD.MethodsPatients who underwent coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) and received coronary angiography within 30 days were retrospectively included. Measurements of EAT volume and coronary artery calcium score (CACs) were performed on a semi-automatic software based on CCTA images, while quantitative flow ratio (QFR) was automatically calculated by the AngioPlus system according to coronary angiographic images.ResultsThis study included 277 patients, 112 of whom had hemodynamically significant CAD and showed higher EAT volume. In multivariate analysis, EAT volume was independently and positively correlated with hemodynamically significant CAD [per standard deviation (SD) cm3; odds ratio (OR), 2.78; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.86–4.15; P < 0.001], but negatively associated with QFRmin (per SD cm3; β coefficient, −0.068; 95% CI, −0.109 to −0.027; P = 0.001) after adjustment for traditional risk factors and CACs. Receiver operating characteristics curve analysis demonstrated a significant improvement in predictive value for hemodynamically significant CAD with the addition of EAT volume to obstructive CAD alone (area under the curve, 0.950 vs. 0.891; P < 0.001).ConclusionIn this study, we found that EAT volume correlated substantially and positively with the existence and severity of hemodynamically significant CAD in Chinese patients with known or suspected CAD, which was independent of traditional risk factors and CACs. In combination with obstructive CAD, EAT volume significantly improved diagnostic performance for hemodynamically significant CAD, suggesting that EAT could be a reliable noninvasive indicator of hemodynamically significant CAD
