Monitoreo de la Actividad Física a Partir de un Modelo Basado en Redes Neuronales, con Dispositivo "Wearable"
The smart devices used for health and physical activities monitoring are elements with high presence in the market of wearables. This work presents an estimaton method for walking speed based on a multilayer artificial neural netwok, which has been trained to obtain the ratio between this speed and the frequency of the arms motion, characteristics of each person. In spite of using only 3 input variables (hight weight and gender), errors than less than 10% were obtained for the mentioned ratio. In addition, the estimation algorith has been incorporated into a low cost, wrist weareable device, ehich uses a inertial measurement unit (IMU) to measure the angular velocity of one arm. These IMUs are not common for these type of devices, but can be used to obtain more accurate speed measures than those obtained by meas of GPS units. Thus, the system can be used to record the physical activity with higher accuracy. Keywords: Artificial neural network, walking speed measurement, health monitoring, IMU, GPS

Advances and Trends in the Physicochemical Properties of Corn Starch Blends
Corn starch is one of the most widely used biopolymers in the world for various applications, due to its high production, renewable, low cost, non-toxic, biodegradable and provide great stereochemical diversity by presenting a complex structure with unique qualities that they depend on multiple factors to obtain special properties for a specific use and/or of interest. From the synthesis of the starch granule to its extraction for its subsequent use, it promotes innovative characteristics, presenting infinite functionalities applicable and/or as a substitute for synthetic polymers. However, some limitations of hydrophilicity, thermal and mechanical properties, rapid degradability and strong intra and intermolecular bonds of the polymer chains make their use difficult in the medium and long term. Enzymatic, chemical and physical methods continue to be used today, creating by-products such as polluting waste and which can be costly. Therefore, the polymeric modification of the starch granule is necessary to mitigate limitations and by-products, currently the use of starch blends is a promising trend to produce new and innovative desirable properties. This chapter describes the advances and trends in the physicochemical properties of corn starch blends Zea mays L. as a potential material, leader for its attractive properties and benefits that it has to offer, demonstrating that when combined with other starches from different botanical sources and/or molecular structure present unique and unequaled synergisms
Belle II Vertex Detector Performance
The Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB accelerator (KEK, Tsukuba, Japan) collected its first e+e− collision data in the spring 2019. The aim of accumulating a 50 times larger data sample than Belle at KEKB, a first generation B-Factory, presents substantial challenges to both the collider and the detector, requiring not only state-of-the-art hardware, but also modern software algorithms for tracking and alignment.
The broad physics program requires excellent performance of the vertex detector, which is composed of two layers of DEPFET pixels and four layers of double sided-strip sensors. In this contribution, an overview of the vertex detector of Belle II and our methods to ensure its optimal performance, are described, and the first results and experiences from the first physics run are presented

Measurements of the branching fractions for decays at Belle II
This paper reports a study of decays using
fb of data collected during 2019--2020 by the Belle II experiment at the
SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy collider, corresponding to events. We find , ,
, and signal events in the decay modes , ,
, and , respectively. The uncertainties quoted for the
signal yield are statistical only. We report the branching fractions of these
decays: where the first
uncertainty is statistical, and the second is systematic. The results are
consistent with world-average values
Angular analysis of decays reconstructed in 2019, 2020, and 2021 Belle II data
We report on a Belle II measurement of the branching fraction
(), longitudinal polarization fraction (), and CP asymmetry
() of decays. We reconstruct decays in a
sample of SuperKEKB electron-positron collisions collected by the Belle II
experiment in 2019, 2020, and 2021 at the (4S) resonance and
corresponding to 190 fb of integrated luminosity. We fit the
distributions of the difference between expected and observed candidate
energy, continuum-suppression discriminant, dipion masses, and decay angles of
the selected samples, to determine a signal yield of events. The
signal yields are corrected for efficiencies determined from simulation and
control data samples to obtain $\mathcal{B}(B^+ \to \rho^+\rho^0) = [23.2^{+\
