    Intencionalidade Lúdica: uma análise de percepções a partir de um jogo aplicado no Programa Residência Pedagógica

    The game has been a playful alternative to give chemistry the new look it needs. Studies on games, recreational activities and playfulness are increasingly recurrent in the teaching of chemistry, being considered the subject of the moment presented at conventions, congresses and research in general. The concern, however, is whether these methodologies are really intentional or if it is just another way of occupying time in the classroom. In this context, the present work aimed to analyze the Influence, the impacts of playful intentionality, in the different perspectives of the subject (coordinator, preceptor, resident) within the regency of the Pedagogical Residence program, in the application of a game as a didactic tool in teaching of chemistry. Through a qualitative approach, based on autobiographical narratives as a teaching and learning strategy, based on reflection diaries (logbooks), the divergence of playful intentions by the three subjects was investigated and how these changes in conception actually affected the radioactive truco game application. It was found that, faced with the interference of the students' previous conceptions about the ludic activity applied in a final way, by the resident, the students had their creative inventiveness, which would thus be adhered to with the didactic game, if applied in a uniform way with the intention’s playful activities of the coordinator, preceptor.O jogo vem sendo uma alternativa lúdica para dar a química a nova roupagem que ela precisa. Estudos sobre jogos, atividades lúdicas e ludicidade estão cada vez mais recorrentes no ensino de química, sendo considerado o assunto do momento apresentado em convenções, congressos e pesquisas em geral. A preocupação, no entanto, é se realmente essas metodologias estão com intencionalidade ou se é apenas mais uma forma de ocupar o tempo na sala de aula. Nesse contexto, o presente trabalho teve por objetivo, analisar a Influência, os impactos da intencionalidade lúdica, nas diferentes perspectivas de sujeito (coordenadora, preceptor, residente) dentro da regência do programa Residência Pedagógica, na aplicação de um jogo como ferramenta didática no ensino de química. Por meio da abordagem qualitativa, a partir de narrativas autobiográficas como estratégia de ensino e aprendizagem, baseados nos diários de reflexão (diários de bordo), investigou-se a divergência das intencionalidades lúdicas pelos três sujeitos e como de fato essas mudanças de concepção afetou na aplicação do jogo truco radioativo. Constatou-se que diante da interferência das concepções prévias dos alunos sobre a atividade lúdica aplicada de forma final, por parte da residente, os estudantes tiveram sua inventividade criativa, que assim seria aderida com o jogo didático, caso aplicado de maneira uniforme com as intencionalidades lúdicas da coordenadora, preceptor

    Telemedicine as a Health Promotion Tool: A Multidisciplinary Vision

    Telemedicine is a resource that contributes to improving the quality of medical care, reducing the time between diagnosis and therapy, and helping extend specialised and quality medical services to remote or poor locations. Teledermatology and Telecardiology encompass the application of telecommunication and computer technologies in dermatological and cardiological practice. The aim of this paper was to report the integration of a multidisciplinary health team providing remote assistance for diagnosis and management of dermatological and cardiovascular diseases, wherein second opinion was given to teams treating patients with difficulty in travelling to face-to-face consultations. Details were referred to the Hospital São Lucas, using a process provided by the MicroG eHealth platform, and specialists issued expert second opinions on each case. In this sense, teledermatology and telecardiology reports served as a tool to assist the general practitioner and family physician in deciding whether or not to refer patients to a specialist service

    The incidence of Alzheimer's disease (AD), the most common form of dementia in the elderly, has increased as the world's population ages, with millions of people affected worldwide. To date, there is no effective treatment for AD, and significant efforts are directed towards developing new strategies, such as regular physical activity, to counteract the mechanisms that lead to neuronal damage. In this sense, this study aimed to identify the effects that physical activity provides for the treatment of elderly people with Alzheimer's. The methodology used here was a literary review through books and articles. Based on these observations, we present that regular physical activity can help in the prevention and treatment of AD, being practiced by the patient and caregivers; It is up to Physical Education professionals to deepen further studies on these bases, in addition to informing about the benefits of physical activity to aid in the treatment of this disease.A incidência da doença de Alzheimer (DA), forma mais comum de demência em idosos, tem aumentado à medida que a população mundial envelhece, com milhões de pessoas afetadas em todo o mundo. Até o momento não existe um tratamento eficaz para DA, e esforços significativos são direcionados no sentido de desenvolver novas estratégias, como atividade física regular, para neutralizar os mecanismos que levam a danos neuronais. Neste sentido, este estudo teve como objetivo identificar os efeitos que a atividade física proporciona para o tratamento de idosos com Alzheimer. A metodologia aqui empregada foi uma revisão literária através de livros e artigos. Com base nessas obervações, apresentamos que a atividade física regular pode auxiliar na prevenção e no tratamento da DA, sendo praticado pelo paciente e pelos cuidadores; cabendo aos profissionais de Educação Física, o aprofundamento cada vez maior em estudos destas bases, além de informar sobre os benefícios da atividade física para o auxilio do tratamento dessa doença

    High Power Laser and Photobiomodulation in Oral Surgery: Case Report

    Introduction: The labial frenum is a fold of mucous membrane that attaches the lip and the cheek to the alveolar mucosa, the gingiva, and the underlying periosteum. In some cases, its presence can cause a midline diastema, periodontal diseases related to food impaction, or retention of biofilm, among others. In such cases, lip frenectomy is indicated as treatment, which can be performed with a scalpel (conventional method), an electric scalpel, or a surgical laser.Objective: To show a clinical case performed at Laser Extension Project in Dentistry, Federal University of Maranhão grounded in a literature review.Case Presentation: A laser frenectomy was performed on a female patient, aged 20, who had a diastema between the upper central incisors and an indication for frenum removal. The high-power diode laser is excellent for procedures in soft tissue because its wavelength is well absorbed by hemoglobin and other pigments; its use also allows a reduction in the amount of anesthetic and medicines used. The parameters used were 2 W, in a continuous mode, 808 nm infrared emission; with delivery of the beam through optical fiber 300 μM; energy of 120 J; 20 pps.Conclusion: the high power diode laser allowed a satisfactory result, the procedure was safe, the technique was a simple one and of reduced clinical time, as mentioned in the literature. It is worth noting that the technique is dependent on the skill of the professional performing it

    Linguistics popularization in teacher education in Acre: teaching, research, and extension

    Este trabalho tem por objetivo principal registrar algumas experiências vivenciadas por professoras formadoras que atuam no contexto da Universidade Federal do Acre (UFAC), no Centro de Educação e Letras (CEL), campus Cruzeiro do Sul. Já que os professores são os principais difusores do conhecimento na sociedade, procuramos demonstrar a importância da popularização da Linguística no ensino, na pesquisa, e na extensão universitária nos cursos de licenciatura. Como resultados, realçamos o papel da Linguística na formação do professor de línguas, proporcionando novas descobertas, novas formas de perceber como a aprendizagem de línguas acontece. Desse modo, essas experiências propiciaram a visibilidade da Linguística como uma ciência que contribui fortemente no desenvolvimento do ensino de línguas, incluindo o ensino da leitura e escrita; na revitalização de línguas indígenas; e no respeito à diversidade linguística. As ações relatadas neste trabalho corroboram a importância da educação linguística na formação de professores da educação básica brasileira. This paper aims at reporting experiences of teacher educators at the Federal University of Acre (UFAC), in the Letters and Education Center (CEL), campus Cruzeiro do Sul. As teachers are the greatest diffusers of knowledge in society, we demonstrate the importance of Linguistics popularization in teaching, research, and university extension in the programs of teacher education. As part of the results, we highlight the role of Linguistics in language teacher education by providing new insights, new points of view on language learning. Thus, those actions gave Linguistics visibility as a science that strongly contributes to the development of language teaching, including reading and writing teaching; indigenous languages revitalization; and language diversity respect. The work reported here corroborates the importance of linguistics education in Brazilian teacher education.   &nbsp

    Sex-specific genetic effects in physical activity: results from a quantitative genetic analysis

    Background: The objective of this study is to present a model to estimate sex-specific genetic effects on physical activity (PA) levels and sedentary behaviour (SB) using three generation families. Methods: The sample consisted of 100 families covering three generations from Portugal. PA and SB were assessed via the International Physical Activity Questionnaire short form (IPAQ-SF). Sex-specific effects were assessed by genotype-by-sex interaction (GSI) models and sex-specific heritabilities. GSI effects and heterogeneity were tested in the residual environmental variance. SPSS 17 and SOLAR v. 4.1 were used in all computations. Results: The genetic component for PA and SB domains varied from low to moderate (11 % to 46 %), when analyzing both genders combined. We found GSI effects for vigorous PA (p = 0.02) and time spent watching television (WT) (p \u3c 0.001) that showed significantly higher additive genetic variance estimates in males. The heterogeneity in the residual environmental variance was significant for moderate PA (p = 0.02), vigorous PA (p = 0.006) and total PA (p = 0.001). Sex-specific heritability estimates were significantly higher in males only for WT, with a male-to-female difference in heritability of 42.5 (95 % confidence interval: 6.4, 70.4). Conclusions: Low to moderate genetic effects on PA and SB traits were found. Results from the GSI model show that there are sex-specific effects in two phenotypes, VPA and WT with a stronger genetic influence in males

    O Residência Pedagógica é um programa que auxilia na formação de licenciandos em Química, de maneira que sejam comprometidos com uma educação problematizadora da realidade, e articulada com diferentes estratégias e recursos de ensino e aprendizagem. Nesse contexto, no âmbito do Programa foi desenvolvida uma atividade de produção de roteiro de estudo, tendo o processo de elaboração e aplicação sido investigado com o intuito de analisar o planejamento e a concretização de uma atividade experimental na perspectiva investigativa.
