[EN] Several issues associated to nervous system pathologies come from the limited potential for regeneration of nervous tissues, especially the CNS. Injuries to these tissues portray a major public health problem since their incidence and prevalence are very high, given that the tissue does not recover and the injury can affect the whole lifespan of the patient. This entails a high economic cost for the sanitary system and a low self-esteem for the injured person. In this context and to solve this type of injury, tissue engineering has emerged and is becoming increasingly important. For the nervous system, one approach is to combine neurons and supporting cells in an electroconductive biomaterial that allows electrical stimulation, since this physical stimulus is necessary for the proper development, function, and repair of the nervous system. The present End-of-Degree Project is enclosed within this field of study: axonal regeneration using constant electric currents to enhance the production of nerve regeneration signals such as secretion of proteins by supporting cells and guide neurite extension. To this end, a device for in vitro cell culture has been developed and obtained which allows the integration of guidance fibers of poly-L-lactic acid (PLA) coated with electroconductive biomaterials such as polypyrrole (PPy) and gold that can be coupled to an electric current generator. Supporting cells such as Schwann cells (SCs) and dorsal root ganglion neurons (DRG) are grown on these fibers. This approach, unlike utilizing stimulation in vivo, is based on promoting nerve regeneration after injury by transplanting axonal tracts obtained in vitro using tissue engineering.García Jiménez, I. Aim: The aim of this study was to identify which adverse peer experiences better predict perceived negative peer relationships among elementary school first graders according to sex. The peer experiences examined were peer rejection, peer victimization, and mutual antipathy; the interpersonal perceptions studied were perceived peer victimization, dyadic meta-perception of peer disliking, and loneliness. Methods: The participants were 809 children (Mage = 6.4 years, SD = 0.32; ngirls = 412, 50.9%) enrolled in 35 first-grade classes from 15 schools in 4 Spanish regions: Valencia, n = 276, 34.1%; Balearic Islands, n = 140, 17.3%; Andalusia, n = 199, 24.6%; Castile-Leon, n = 194, 24%. We calculated sex differences in peer experiences and interpersonal perceptions by means of one-way ANOVA for means differences and Fisher’s r-to-z transformation for correlations differences. We used a multilevel regression analysis (nesting variables: class and region) to determine whether the associations between each peer experiences and each perception were unique. Results: Each adverse peer relationship predicted each interpersonal perception differentially. Peer victimization was a good predictor of the three interpersonal perceptions, and the only predictor of perceived peer victimization. Peer rejection predicted loneliness, whereas mutual antipathies predicted dyadic meta-perception of peer disliking, although more so among girls. A significant effect at region level was found but not at class level. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that research should take into account the different levels of the social peer system when analyzing peer experiences within the classroom context. The study contributes to sensitize teachers about the greater responsiveness of 6-year-old girls to adverse peer experiences, and it could be useful for designing interventions that would help children oppose rejection and empower active bystanders to fight against peer mistreatment.

Introduction: In this article we study the representation of children’s body at the point of sale of children’s fashion shops, with the aim of analyzing the body image projected in these establishments aimed at children as consumers and their parents as buyers. Methodology: Through observation as a method, a series of variables (thinness, height, etc.) applied to the components of the point of sale have been analyzed. This analysis was carried out on a sample of 50 establishments belonging to 18 brands of children's fashion. Results and conclusions: The results obtained explained the realities analyzed in previous research, such as the disaffection of children by their body or related eating disorders, since most establishments tend to generate images of unreal adult children

Baroque art is an undoubtedly propagandistic art. Its eternal cultivation by the Catholic Church during the Counter-reformation has left us with an immense artistic heritage that nowadays can be recovered with ease, above all, in the most important city of the territory of Spain at the beginning of the 17th century –Seville. The result of the convergence among artistic rules and propagandistic aims led to a wide persuasive campaign and to a powerful brand image that in this article are expected to be analysed in communicative terms

    Get PDF
The presence and use of technologies in educational settings is constantly increasing. Therefore, initial teacher education needs to prepare future teachers to deal with this technological implementation from both practical and pedagogical perspectives. This paper examines the treatment of technologies that initial teacher education offers to early childhood education and primary education preservice teachers facing their practicum experiences. A bibliometric and thematic review during the 2010-2020 period is conducted in WoS, Scopus, PsycInfo, and ERIC databases. An analysis of co-occurrence of terms and the creation of bibliometric maps are considered. The thematic analysis follows an inductive approach. Three big areas are addressed through this approximation: consideration of technologies before practicum, the use of technologies at the schools, and the study of preservice teacher’s personal variables. Findings show the importance of working with technological preparation of university supervisors and cooperating teachers when teacher candidates do their practicum. In this proposal, to consider the self-efficacy and technological, pedagogical and content knowledge model of preservice teachers is encouraged. Conclusions underline the importance of teaching and strengthening pedagogical and reflective experiences during the practicum. Limitations are considered
