Objective: To analyze the different perceptions of professionals about the problem of intellectual disability in the prison setting. Material and method: Exploratory-descriptive type. In-depth interviews with legal, social and prison operators of Centro Penitenciario de Zuera (Zaragoza). Results: The narratives of the interviewed subjects point to the aggravating circumstances that a closed social environment can entail for inmates with intellectual disabilities. Communications in the prison administration are written in a technical language that is not understandable for inmates with intellectual deficits. Discusion: There is a need to give more visibility to the case of inmates with intellectual disabilities. Procedures also need to be applied that favour greater cognitive accessibility for this profile of inmates, along with the promotion of awareness raising and training for professionals to enable them to deal with this issue

Background: The style docent communicative with adolescent’s students has turned into a problem social educationally in resolute Cuba from the present day. Objective: To characterize the style docent communicative with adolescent’s students. Methods: The investigation covered a period from April 2018 to December 2018. A descriptive transactional design was used with a descriptive study under a sample of 35 eleventh grade students from the IPU “Mariano Clemente Prado” of the city of Santa Clara, Cuba. Results: It was obtained that dissent exists in the students because the professors stimulate its participation in the educational aspects, and they worry about the instructive area; difficulties are verified in the professors with relationship to the styles talkative employees with the adolescents. Conclusions: The difficulties in the educational communication toward the students are related with the communication styles assumed by the educational aspect that should be improved

The orchestration of processes in relation to the product, and the role of psychological variables in written composition

©IWA Publishing [2018]. The definitive peer-reviewed and edited version of this article is published in Water Science & Technology, volume 78, issue 1, p. 114-124, 2018, doi: 10.2166/wst.2018.195 and is available at www.iwapublishing.com.Within the European project INCOVER, an experimental microalgae-based treatment system has been built for wastewater reuse and added-value products generation. This article describes this new experimental plant and the start-up stage, starting from the new design of three semi-closed horizontal photobioreactor (PBR) with low energy requirements for microalgae cultivation (30 m3 total), using agricultural runoff and urban wastewater as feedstock. The inflow nutrients concentration is adjusted to select cyanobacteria, microalgae able to accumulate polyhydroxybutyrates (PHBs), which can be used for bioplastics production. Part of the harvested biomass is used as substrate for anaerobic co-digestion (AcoD) with secondary sludge to obtain biogas. This biogas is then cleaned in an absorption column to reach methane concentration up to 99%. The digestate from the AcoD is further processed in sludge wetlands for stabilization and biofertilizer production. On the other hand, treated water undergoes ultrafiltration and disinfection through a solar-driven process, then it is pumped through absorption materials to recover nutrients, and eventually applied in an agricultural field to grow energy crops by means of a smart irrigation system. This plant presents a sustainable approach for wastewater management, which can be seen as resource recovery process more than a waste treatment.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft

Blowup of certain analytic solutions of the Hall magnetohydrodynamic equations

Producción CientíficaA recent analytic solution of the Hall magnetohydrodynamics equations is analyzed. It is shown that its evolution in time depends upon a certain set of inequalities upon the initial values of the velocity and the magnetic field. For most of the cases, both magnitudes will blow up in a finite time. This shows that for keeping the original structure of the solution, energy must be introduced into the system until eventually it cannot hold any longer
