Prevalence and intensity of black-spot disease in fish community from a subtropical stream (Santa Lucía river basin, Uruguay)

The objective of the present study was to identify fish species susceptible to black spot disease, the temporal variation in intensity prevalence and abundance of black spot, and its correlation with environmental and host parameters. In order to do so, several sampling campaigns were conducted bimonthly during one year, along the main course of an agricultural watershed. A total of twenty-seven fish species were collected, out of which only two, Astyanax aff. fasciatus ("mojarra") and Oligosarcus jenynsii ("dientudo") presented black spot disease. In A. aff. fasciatus, 63% of black spot prevalence was registered and did not show significant seasonal changes during the sampling period, nor did the abundance and intensity. Regarding possible relations between the disease and environmental and host parameters, a higher intensity of black spot infection was observed in the ventral region of the fish and allometric coefficient (WT − LS, relationship) values did not differ significantly between parasitized and non-parasitized fish groups.El objetivo del presente estudio fue identificar las especies susceptibles a la enfermedad del punto negro, la variación temporal de su intensidad, prevalencia y abundancia; así como su relación con parámetros ambientales y del hospedador. Para ello, se realizaron muestreos bimensualmente durante un año, en el curso principal de una cuenca agrícola suburbana. Fueron colectadas un total de veintisiete especies, de las cuales en solo dos, Astyanax aff. fasciatus ("mojarra") y Oligosarcus jenynsii ("dientudo"), se observó la enfermedad del punto negro. En A. aff. fasciatus se registró una prevalencia de puntos negros del 63% y la misma no presentó diferencias significativas durante el período de muestreo, al igual que su abundancia e intensidad. En cuanto a las posibles relaciones de la enfermedad con parámetros ambientales y del hospedador, se observó una mayor intensidad de la infección en la región ventral de los peces y no se encontraron diferencias significativas en los valores del coeficiente alométrico (relación WT − LS) entre los peces parasitados y no parasitados

Fake News and Post-truth: Numerical Simulations of Information Diffusion in Social Networks

The year 2016 was crucial in terms of the use of social networks as tools for disseminating information for political purposes. The election of candidate Donald Trump for the presidency of the United States of America lit a warning signal about the influence that the information disseminated through social networks exerted in the choice of candidates by the American people. Since then, researchers from different areas have focused on the topic, which involves different aspects: computing, social sciences, mathematics, among others. Therefore, the object of study of this work is the phenomenon of behavioral changes brought about by the new social relationships established by digital social networks, under the scope of the spread of fake news through them. To guarantee the intended study, the general objective was to adapt mathematical models consisting of ordinary differential equations for the dissemination of information on social networks for the spread of fake news. As specific objectives, the contribution of the mathematical models proposed in the mitigation, through algorithms, of the spread of false or distorted information was discussed, as well as the discussion on the concepts of fake news and post-truth from a social point of view, in a way that individuals can also distinguish true information from disinformation through individual interpretation tools. As a research methodology, bibliographic research was chosen and a systematic literature review was carried out, to consider published works on the proposed research object. For the numerical simulations, a numerical code was developed in MATLAB, which was able to carry out the desirable experiments. It is concluded that innovation diffusion models can adapt to fake news dissemination models. However, such models are not able to robustly simulate the mitigation of fake news

Impacto da COVID-19 nos preços de petróleo e preços das ações da GALP

Mestrado em Contabilidade e Gestão de Instituições FinanceirasO petróleo é uma matéria-prima de grande relevância nos mercados económicos, assim sendo, o objetivo do estudo passa pela análise dos impactos que o Covid-19 gerou perante flutuações dos preços de petróleo. Foram objeto de estudo, os preços do petróleo bruto, os preços das ações da Galp e os casos de COVID-19 durante o período de janeiro de 2020 a maio de 2022. Durante esse período foi analisado o comportamento e influência dos casos de COVID-19 nos mercados petrolíferos. Por fim, realizaram-se diversos testes ao efeito do COVID-19 nos preços do petróleo bruto e preços das ações da Galp, tendo sido considerada uma amostra de 126 observações. Os resultados obtidos comprovam que se registaram impactos negativos sobre os preços de petróleo bruto brent, em euros e em dólares, e petróleo bruto futuros, WTI. Contrariamente, o mesmo não se verificou na cotação da Galp, que obteve o efeito inverso.Oil is a raw material of great relevance in economic markets, therefore, the objective of the study is to analyze the impacts that Covid-19 generated in the face of fluctuations in oil prices. Crude oil prices, Galp share prices and COVID-19 cases during the period from January 2020 to May 2022 were the object of study. During this period, the behavior and influence of COVID-19 cases on oil markets was analyzed. Finally, several tests were carried out on the effect of COVID-19 on crude oil prices and Galp share prices, with a sample of 126 observations being considered. The results obtained prove that there were negative impacts on the prices of Brent crude oil, in euros and in dollars, and crude oil futures, WTI. Intervenciones para depresión en jóvenes: de la reducción de síntomas al bienestar y funcionamiento óptimo

Depression is a major public health problem in children and adolescents, which makes the identification and implementation of effective interventions an increasing concern. Therefore, the main aim of this article is to discuss theoretically different psychological interventions for depression. In particular, those focused on psychopathology and depressive symptom reduction and the new interventions based on the positive psychology approach, which focus on optimal functioning and wellbeing. Empirically supported interventions for children and adolescents, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy (IPT), have focus on symptom reduction, which represents an incomplete vision of youth functioning. In contrast, interventions based on positive psychology promote a more balanced approach that takes into consideration the negative and positive aspects of experience and aims to enhance well-being. We present and discuss new interventions, such as the Optimal Functioning Therapy for Adolescents, which suggest that the focus of interventions for depressed adolescents should integrate symptom reduction and well-being enhancement to achieve optimal functioning. Helping young people be happier and more engaged in their lives is part of a new perspective for clinical psychology practice.La depresión es un problema de salud pública importante en niños y adolescentes, lo que hace que identificar e implementar intervenciones efectivas para su tratamiento sea de creciente interés. Por lo tanto, el objetivo principal de este artículo es discutir teóricamente diferentes intervenciones psicológicas para la depresión. En particular, las que se abordan la psicopatología, la reducción de los síntomas depresivos y las nuevas intervenciones basadas en el enfoque de la psicología positiva, que se centran en el funcionamiento óptimo y el bienestar de la persona. Intervenciones con respaldo empírico para los niños y adolescentes, como la terapia cognitivo-conductual (TCC) y la terapia interpersonal (IPT), tienen un enfoque de reducción de síntomas, lo que representa una visión incompleta de funcionamiento en la juventud. En contraste, las intervenciones basadas en la psicología positiva promueven una aproximación más equilibrada que contempla los aspectos negativos y positivos de la experiencia y tiene como objetivo mejorar el bienestar. En el artículo, se presentan y discuten intervenciones nuevas, como la Terapia del Funcionamiento Óptimo Terapia para Adolescentes, que sugieren que el enfoque de las intervenciones para los adolescentes con depresión debería integrar la reducción de síntomas y la mejora de su bienestar para lograr un funcionamiento óptimo. Prática de ensino supervisionada em ensino do 1.º e do 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico

O presente relatório foi desenvolvido no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, nos contextos dos 1.º e 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. É um relatório descritivo, pois relata cinco das muitas experiências de ensino e aprendizagem (EEA) realizadas ao longo da prática pedagógica, é investigativo dado que desenvolvi uma investigação centrada no processo de avaliação das aprendizagens dos alunos, dando particular relevância à integração da avaliação das atitudes, valores e comportamentos dos alunos neste processo. Por fim, considero-o um relatório reflexivo porque ao longo da minha prática, bem como no momento de escrita deste trabalho questionei, critiquei, sintetizei, estruturei e reestruturei o processo de ensino-avaliação-aprendizagem em que estive envolvida no decurso do estágio. As EEA são uma parte fundamental do relatório, revelam todo o trabalho realizado ao longo desta etapa. É através do contacto com o contexto que colocamos em prática os saberes adquiridos ao longo de todo o percurso académico. Neste relatório apresento as experiências de ensino-aprendizagem realizadas nos dois ciclos do ensino básico. No 1.º CEB, exponho uma EEA que comtempla as quatro áreas curriculares: Matemática, Estudo do Meio, Português e Expressão Plástica. No 2.º CEB também, apresento as experiências de ensino-aprendizagem desenvolvidas nas disciplinas de Português, Matemática, Ciências Naturais e História e Geografia de Portugal. Para a concretização destas EEA atribui ao aluno um papel ativo em sala de aula, considerando-o o centro de todo o processo ensino-aprendizagem. No desenvolvimento do relatório tive como tema particular em investigação a avaliação das aprendizagens dos alunos. A avaliação tem constituído desde sempre uma preocupação no Homem, de tal forma que avaliar é um conceito que se utiliza com grande regularidade na sociedade de hoje, tendo um grande impacto na aprendizagem dos alunos. Em particular, considero que a avaliação das atitudes/valores e dos comportamentos dos alunos é determinante para uma avaliação completa e integral das aprendizagens dos mesmos. Assim, em termos da investigação realizada, efetuei a análise do que é referido nos documentos oficiais orientadores do processo de avaliação do ensino básico, bem como nos documentos específicos do agrupamento em que realizei o meu estágio. Teve igual relevância, nesta investigação, compreender as percepções dos professores cooperantes sobre o processo de avaliação, particularmente, sobre a integração das atitudes/valores e comportamentos no mesmo.É possível adiantar que nada é referido nos documentos orientadores do ensino básico sobre a integração das atitudes/valores e comportamentos, já nos documentos do agrupamento esta integração surge explicitada. Na voz dos professores a integração é prevista e vai ao encontro no referido nos documentos do agrupamento. A meu ver surge a necessidade de repensar o processo de avaliação das aprendizagens dos alunos, nomeadamente a integração das atitudes/valores e comportamentos neste processo, pois é também função formar cidadãos.This present report aims at describing and reflecting about the action I developed within of the Supervised Teaching Practice, in the contexts of the 1st and 2nd Cycles of Basic’ Education. It is a descriptive report, because it reports five of the many teaching and learning experiences carried out during the pedagogical practice, and also investigative because I developed an investigation centred on the evaluation process of the students' learning, paying particular relevance to the integration of the assessment of attitudes, values and behaviours of the students in this process. Lastly, I consider this report reflexive because during my practice, as well as at the time of writing this report, I questioned, criticized, synthesized, structured and restructured the teaching-assessment-learning process in which I was involved during my internship. The EEA's are a fundamental part of this work because they reveal all the work performed during this stage, and as it is through practice and contact with the context that we acquire knowledge. In this report I present the teaching-learning experiences carried out in the two cycles of basic education. In the 1st CBE's, I introduce four experiences developed in the curricular areas of Mathematics, Study of the Environment, Portuguese and Plastic Expression. In 2nd CBE's, I developed four other teaching-learning experiences in the subjects of Portuguese, Mathematics, Natural Sciences and History and Geography of Portugal. For the realization of these EEA's, I considered the students' previous knowledge and then I planned each class according to their characteristics because I wanted them, being the centre of the teaching-learning process,. to have an active role in the classroom While developing this work I specifically considered as an investigation question the evaluation of student’s learnings. Evaluation has always been a human concern so that evaluating is a concept used with great regularity in today’s society, having a great impact in the learning of the students. In particular, I consider that the assessment of students 'attitudes, values and behaviours are determinant for a complete and integral assessment of students' learning. So this study had as an investigative focus the analysis of what is referred to in the official guiding documents for the process of evaluation of basic's education about the evaluation of student learning, as well as in the specific documents of the school where I did my Internship. It was equally relevant to viii understand the perceptions of some teachers about the same process and, particularly, about the integration of attitudes/values and behaviours in this process. It's possible to say that nothing is mentioned in the guidance documents of basic education about the integration of attitudes/values and behaviours, although in the school documents this integration is made explicit in a clear and precise way. In the teachers’ voice the integration is planned and found in the school documents. I consider there is a need to rethink the evaluation process, namely the integration of attitudes/values and behaviours in this process, so that students are evaluated in an integral and complete way

Empreendedorismo feminino : significados, motivações e desafios das mulheres que decidem empreender no DF

De acordo com os estudos realizados dentro do tema, esse crescimento pode ser explicado por diversos fatores como: busca pela autorrealização dessas mulheres, busca pela melhora da situação financeira, afinidade com determinado ramo, reconhecimento de oportunidades no mercado e por influência da família. Entretanto, durante sua trajetória no empreendedorismo, as mulheres ainda enfrentam inúmeros desafios. Esta pesquisa buscou descobrir o perfil dessas mulheres que empreendem, as motivações para abertura de seu negócio e as dificuldades enfrentadas por elas. Para esta pesquisa, duas fontes de dados foram utilizadas. Primeiramente, foram utilizados dados secundários obtidos através do projeto “Mulheres Empreendedoras”, o qual foi realizado por alunos da disciplina Introdução a administração na Universidade de Brasília. Neste trabalho serão analisadas mais de 15 entrevistas do projeto, as quais foram realizadas durante os anos de 2015, 2016 e 2017 com empreendedoras de diferentes ramos do Distrito Federal. Em seguida, mais dados foram obtidos através de entrevistas semiestruturadas conduzidas pela autora desta pesquisa. Nesta etapa, foram feitas mais oito entrevistas com empreendedoras diferentes do DF com objetivo de estender os conhecimentos acerca do tema. Por meio da análise dos dados primários e secundários buscou-se identificar os aspectos relevantes sobre o comportamento e identidade das empreendedoras. Os dados e as análises indicam que elas possuem diversas características comportamentais e psicológicas como a coragem, persistência, planejamento, inclinação para correr riscos e inovar. A maioria dos desafios nesta caminhada está relacionado com a construção histórica do papel atribuído a mulher durante muitos anos em nossa sociedade. Por esse motivo, ainda hoje as mulheres sofrem com a desvalorização no mercado de trabalho, principalmente no campo do empreendedorismo. Além disso, segundo os dados coletados, a dificuldade em separar vida pessoal e profissional, assim como saber dividir o tempo entre as duas coisas, tem sido um dos grandes desafios das empreendedoras atualmente. Entretanto, ao se fazer uma análise de dados, afere-se que apesar dos desafios, as mulheres atuantes nesta área estão satisfeitas com sua ocupação e estão buscando conquistar um espaço cada vez maior.Female entrepreneurship has grown faster and faster in recent years. According to the studies carried out within the theme, this growth can be explained by several factors such as the search for self-realization of these women, search for an improvement in the financial situation, affinity with a particular branch, recognition of market opportunities and family influence. However, during their trajectory in entrepreneurship, women still face numerous challenges. This research sought to discover the profile of these women they undertake, the motivations to open their business and the difficulties they face. For this research, two data sources were used. Firstly, secondary data obtained through the "Entrepreneurial Women" project was used, which was carried out by students of the Introduction to Administration course at the University of Brasília. This study will analyze more than 15 project interviews, which were conducted during the years 2015, 2016 and 2017 with entrepreneurs from different branches of the Federal District. Then, more data were obtained through semi-structured interviews conducted by the author of this research. In this stage, eight other interviews with different entrepreneurs of the Federal District were done with the objective of extending the knowledge about the theme. Through the analysis of the primary and secondary data, it was sought to identify the relevant aspects about the behavior and identity of the entrepreneurs. The data and analyzes indicate that they have diverse behavioral and psychological characteristics such as courage, persistence, planning, inclination to take risks and innovate. Most of the challenges in this walk are related to the historical construction of the role assigned to women for many years in our society. For this reason, women still suffer from devaluation in the labor market, especially in the field of entrepreneurship. Moreover, according to the data collected, the difficulty in separating personal and professional life, as well as knowing how to divide the time between the two, has been one of the great challenges of entrepreneurs today. However, in making a data analysis, it is pointed out that despite the challenges, the women working in this area are satisfied with their occupation and are seeking to conquer an increasing space

A responsabilidade civil pelo descumprimento do dever de cuidado parental: Uma análise a partir das perspectivas do abandono afetivo e da alienação parental

A presente investigação visa analisar a possível responsabilidade civil em decorrência da prática de alienação parental e do abandono afetivo. Partindo-se da perspectiva da consagração constitucional dos direitos fundamentais da criança e do adolescente, busca-se demonstrar que tal conquista pode ser afrontada, ainda no plano familiar, pela prática de alienação parental ou abandono afetivo. Diante disto, avista-se a possibilidade de a responsabilidade civil representar um mecanismo de resposta da ordem jurídica aos pais que descumprem o seu dever de cuidado parental, seja pela ação ou pela omissão

Projeto de lei nº 554/2011 do Senado Federal brasileiro e a regulamentação das audiências de custódia

Monografia (graduação)—Universidade de Brasília, Faculdade de Direito, 2015.O presente trabalho tem como foco o estudo da audiência de custódia a partir de sua regulamentação no projeto de lei nº 554/2011 do Senado Federal. Com a implementação da referida audiência, a pessoa detida em flagrante deverá ser apresentada ao juiz em um prazo de até 24 horas, sendo esse o maior contraste com a atual sistemática processual, visto que hoje somente é remetido ao juiz o auto de prisão em flagrante, de modo que o magistrado não tem qualquer contato com a pessoa presa. Assim, partindo da atual sistemática processual, serão discutidos alguns problemas decorrentes da mera remessa do auto de prisão em flagrante ao juiz, notadamente a prática de agressões e torturas por agentes policiais; violações à ampla defesa; e a falta de humanidade no tratamento com o detido. Ao analisar a reforma sugerida com a implementação da audiência de custódia, observar-se-ão quais as possíveis soluções para os problemas apontados e possíveis novos problemas identificados no referido projeto de lei
