Alternativas para incrementar la liquidez del mercado de energía mayorista colombiano: el caso del mercado no regulado

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo la presentación de alternativas que contribuyan a aumentar la liquidez del mercado no regulado de energía eléctrica en Colombia -- Para ello se parte de una revisión general del mercado eléctrico colombiano, posteriormente se introduce el concepto liquidez, haciendo énfasis en la liquidez en mercados eléctricos y se referencian algunos mercados eléctricos desarrollados en Europa, Norte América, Países Nórdicos e Inglaterra -- Se concluye que es necesario introducir modificaciones al mercado de energía mayorista, en particular, la manera en la que se realiza la contratación de compraventa de energía en el mercado OTC , de manera que se administre adecuadamente el poder de mercado y se incentive la participación de pequeños agentes y de nuevos participantes provenientes del sector financier

Narrative Structure in Short and Serial Narrations for the web

En el contexto actual la producción y el consumo audiovisual en diversas pantallas ha venido en aumento, gracias al fácil acceso a tecnologías de producción audiovisual y a los bajos costos en la realización, los cuales han posibilitado los intereses narrativos tanto de profesionales como de aficionados, quienes han incursionado en la producción de nuevos formatos, uno de ellos, las series web.No obstante, al momento de la construcción de guiones para dichos formatos, nos encontramos con una notable ausencia de literatura que dé pistas para la creación de estructuras narrativas seriales y sobre todo con temporalidades y apuestas técnicas óptimas para web y dispositivos móviles.Desde ese orden de ideas el presente texto pretende, a partir de una revisión cuidadosa de algunas series web a la luz de literatura tanto en el ámbito de la narrativa como de la producción audiovisual, proponer claves para la construcción de estructuras narrativas para dicho formato emergente.In the current context, audiovisual production and consumption in different screens have been increasing, thanks to the easy access to the audio-visual production technologies and to the low costs in audiovisual productions, which have made possible narrative interests of both professionals and amateurs, who have participated in the production of new formats; one of them, web series.Nevertheless, at the moment scripts for such formats are being constructed, it has been noticed a notable abscense de literature which provides hints for the creation of serial narrative structure and above all with optimum technical temporalities for the web and mobile devices.From this statement, this text intends - from a careful revision of some web series at the light of literature in both narrative and audio-visual production, to propose keys for the construction of narrative structures for such an emerging form

A general class of holographic superconductors

We introduce a simple generalization of the basic holographic superconductor model in which the spontaneous breaking of a global U(1) symmetry occurs via the Stückelberg mechanism. This more general setting allows tuning features such as the order of the transition. The physical vacuum of the condensed phase and the order of the transition are determined by a detailed analysis of the free energy of the system. For first order transitions, we identify a metastable phase above the critical temperature. In this case, the conductivity shows additional poles, thus suggesting that the condensate has internal structure

Language, Twitter and Academic Conferences

Using Twitter during academic conferences is a way of engaging and connecting an audience inherently multicultural by the nature of scientific collaboration. English is expected to be the lingua franca bridging the communication and integration between native speakers of different mother tongues. However, little research has been done to support this assumption. In this paper we analyzed how integrated language communities are by analyzing the scholars' tweets used in 26 Computer Science conferences over a time span of five years. We found that although English is the most popular language used to tweet during conferences, a significant proportion of people also tweet in other languages. In addition, people who tweet solely in English interact mostly within the same group (English monolinguals), while people who speak other languages tend to show a more diverse interaction with other lingua groups. Finally, we also found that the people who interact with other Twitter users show a more diverse language distribution, while people who do not interact mostly post tweets in a single language. Segregation-induced grain boundary electrical potential in ionic oxide materials: A first principles model

A first principles continuum analytical model for cationic segregation to the grain boundaries in complex ceramic oxides is presented. The model permits one to determine the electric charge density and the segregation-induced electric potential profiles through the grain and can be extrapolated to the range of nanostructured grain sizes. The theoretical predictions are compared with existing data for yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystals. Enfoque técnico-económico para el dimensionamiento de transformadores de distribución

In colombia, distribution transformer ratings are selected upon the rated current flowing through circuits and branches feeding low-voltage networks. As a result, transformers turn out oversized. This paper shows a methodology for selecting distribution transformers based on technical and technoeconomical criteria as an alternative to current methodologies complying with NTC 2050. Whereas, technical criteria assure the operation of transformer within its maximum efficiency without loss of shelf life, the technoeconomical criteria balance a reasonable reduction of shelf life with a lower investment and service cost, even though the transformer is operating out of its maximun efficiency point. As a matter of fact, this later approach is of bigger interest for power distribution utilities. The proposed methodology, added to the overload capability of the transformers, allow to find the most suitable ratings in order to supply the expected demand, with lower investment and service costs and higher efficiency through the assets shelf life.En Colombia, la selección de la capacidad de los transformadores de distribución se realiza con base en la corriente con la que se calculan las acometidas y ramales alimentadores de las redes de baja tensión, lo cual trae como consecuencia un sobredimensionamiento. Este artículo presenta una metodología para la selección de los transformadores de distribución basada en criterios técnicos y técnico-económicos como una alternativa a las metodologías tradicionales derivadas de los lineamientos de la NTC 2050. Por el criterio técnico se asegura que el transformador operará en la zona de máxima eficiencia sin pérdida de vida útil por encima de la normal esperada. El criterio técnico-económico asegura una pérdida de vida dentro de lo normal esperado y un costo de inversión y operación del equipo menor, aunque el transformador opere por fuera de la zona de máxima eficiencia. Esta última alternativa es más atractiva para las empresas distribuidoras. La evaluación que realiza la metodología, sumada a la capacidad inherente de sobrecarga temporal de los transformadores, posibilita encontrar la capacidad del transformador con la cual se pueda atender de manera adecuada la demanda esperada con un menor costo de inversión y operación, además de mayor eficiencia a lo largo de la vida útil esperada del activo

Implementación de un manual escolar de física como herramienta integral, utilizando tic para la educación básica secundaria en Colombia

La física es una de las ciencias de mayor aplicación en el desarrollo de la vida del ser humano, existen muchas elementos que son usados a diario y tienen sus bases en esta ciencia, por ejemplo la internet; entonces surge la necesidad de conocer las leyes fundamentales que rigen la materia y colocarlas de forma práctica para su enseñanza. Es fundamental tener en cuenta que la asignatura de física el MEN (Ministerio de Educación Nacional), propone iniciar su estudio desde grado sexto; sin embargo, en el momento de buscar herramientas para brindar a los estudiantes los elementos necesarios para un aprendizaje adecuado, lúdico y asequible; se encuentra que hay pocas herramientas que faciliten el proceso, y las existentes son descontextualizadas para la educación en estas edades

Unprecedented layered coordination polymers of dithiolene group 10 metals: Magnetic and electrical properties

One-pot reactions between Ni(ii), Pd(ii) or Pt(ii) salts and 3,6-dichloro-1,2-benzenedithiol (HSC6H2Cl2SH) in KOH medium under argon lead to a series of bis-dithiolene coordination polymers. X-ray analysis shows the presence of a common square planar complex [M(SC6H2Cl2S)2]2- linked to potassium cations forming either a two-dimensional coordination polymer network for {[K2(μ-H2O)2(μ-thf)(thf)2][M(SC6H2Cl2S)2]}n [M = Ni (1) and Pd (2)] or a one-dimensional coordination polymer for {[K2(μ-H2O)2(thf)6][Pt(SC6H2Cl2S)2]}n (3). In 3 the coordination environment of the potassium ions may slightly change leading to the two-dimensional coordination polymer {[K2(μ-H2O)(μ-thf)2][Pt(SC6H2Cl2S)2]}n (4) that crystallizes together with 3.
