Han participado un total de 183 deportistas con edades entre 26 y 59 años (M= 41.14; DT= 6.43); 179 eran hombres y solamente cuatro mujeres. Se utilizaron los siguientes instrumentos: Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2 y Profile of Mood States. Se realizó un análisis multivariante de la varianza y se realizó el cálculo de la dispersión de los impactos a través de un programa informático diseñado para tal efecto.ES

The commoditization of the publication culture in Spain: a cost- and time-effective model to systematize Communication Sciences

This paper explores the current paradigm of the publication culture in Spain, examining the negative and positive forces that shape the dominant dynamics in the production, dissemination and evaluation of scholars' works. Following the intentional sampling of maximum variety, we planned a set of interviews with scholars in the area of communication that represented the heterogeneity of academic ranks, gender, and territories of Spain. The final output consisted of thirty-five semi-structured interviews that took place between May 2018 and May 2019. Scholarship on how researchers and university professors experience publication cultures is abundant, however the national and international studies that address this phenomenon from a holistic approach are practically non-existent. Comprising three actions or systems -production, dissemination and evaluation-, the current publishing culture is depicted as a structure tuned to a set of global-accepted requirements that seem easy to understand and replicate. Under such model, most of the scholars ex-perience discomfort because overproduction is widespread, social transference is rare, and the production and diffusion of scientific works frequently occur at the expense of scholars themselves. The goal seems to be inspired by the cost- and time-effective system of evaluation processes that, despite academics' general opposition, official bodies and university departments have adopted to circumvent the costly task of assessing scientists' outcomes on an individual basis

Arc tracking control in insulation systems for aeronautic applications: challenges, opportunities, and research needs

Next generation aircrafts will use more electrical power to reduce weight, fuel consumption, system complexity and greenhouse gas emissions. However, new failure modes and challenges arise related to the required voltage increase and consequent rise of electrical stress on wiring insulation materials, thus increasing the risk of electrical arc appearance. This work performs a critical and comprehensive review concerning arc tracking effects in wiring insulation systems, underlying mechanisms, role of materials and possible mitigation strategies, with a special focus on aircraft applications. To this end an evaluation of the scientific and technological state of the art is carried out from the analysis of theses, research articles, technical reports, international standards and white papers. Sports practice, intercultural exchanges and citizenship: Integration through Judo

El presente artículo presenta las dimensiones teóricas y metodológicas del “Programa experimental de integración socioeducativa a través del judo para jóvenes del barrio de Ruzafa” en la ciudad de Valencia. El objetivo principal de dicho programa, que comenzó en octubre de 2008 y finalizó en junio de 2011, consistió en elaborar una guía didáctica para utilizar la práctica del judo como herramienta de socialización en el deporte y a través del deporte, prestando particular atención a la relación entre la práctica regular del judo, la inserción social y la construcción de ciudadanía a través de la convivencia intercultural. La investigación sociológica ha acompañado el proceso de diseño, realización y evaluación del programa.This paper explains the theoretical and methodological dimensions of the “Experimental socio-educational programme for young people, through the teaching of judo, in the Ruzafa neighbourhood (Valencia, Spain)”. The main objective of the programme, which began in October 2008 and was completed in June 2011, was to develop a teaching guide for the practice of judo as a socialization tool in sport and through sport, with particular attention to the relationship between the regular practice of judo, social integration and the construction of citizenship through intercultural exchanches. Tipología de las zonas regables de la demarcación hidrográfica del Guadalquivir

La agricultura de regadío en la Demarcación Hidrográfica del Guadalquivir (DHG) ha sufrido un importante proceso de cambio en las últimas dos décadas, caracterizado fundamentalmente por la irrupción del olivar y la modernización de las zonas regables. Ello ha resultado en un aumento de la superficie regada, que prácticamente se ha doblado hasta sobrepasar ampliamente las 800.000 ha, y en el consecuente incremento de la demanda de agua. Estos cambios, entre otros, no han hecho sino enriquecer la variedad de sistemas agrarios de regadío que conviven en la DHG y que pueden presentar características diferenciales. Este contexto de cambio justifica la necesidad de actualizar el conocimiento de estos sistemas. En consecuencia, en el presente trabajo se propone una tipología de las zonas regables de la DHG. Para ello se ha utilizado el Inventario de Regadíos de 2008, empleándose como unidad básica de agrupación las unidades de agregación de recintos (UAs), que componen dicho inventario, y como variables de agrupación, las variables estructurales y de distribución de cultivos de estas unidades. De esta forma, se ha obtenido una tipología que muestra cinco grupos internamente homogéneos y diferentes entre sí, y que capta a su vez la esencia del proceso de cambio mencionado. Por consiguiente, esta tipología se revela como una herramienta útil para su empleo en análisis dirigidos al apoyo de toma de decisiones, básicamente relativas a políticas públicas (tanto hidrológica como agraria), encaminados hacia una mejor gobernanza del regadío en la DHG

Utilización de cohetes de sondeo para la realización de investigaciones sobre combustión en microgravedad

Los programas de experimentación sobre combustión en condiciones de gravedad reducida vienen llevándose a cabo desde hace ya vanos años en torres de caída libre y, más recientemente, en aviones laboratorio con los inconvenientes del corto periodo de ensayo (4-5 segundos y 15-20 segundos respectivamente) y niveles gravitatonos poco reducidos y con importantes fluctuaciones en el segundo caso (Ref 1 > 2) Existen en la actualidad importantes programas de ensayo previstos para llevarlos a cabo en laboratorios orbitales Evidentemente, estos laboratorios sobre satélite constituyen un inigualable medio experimental, bajo el punto de vista científico, para llevar a cabo estos programas de investigación sobre combustión en condiciones de microgravedad Ello se debe al muy bajo (<io ~*g) y constante nivel gravitatono v a que los tiempos que pueden asignarse a la experimentación son prácticamente ilimitados en comparación con los tiempos característicos de la combustión No obstante, la experimentación en plataforma orbital es en extremo costosa y hay además que contar con el importante factor del nesgo humano, que dificultaría en extremo llevar a cabo diversos e importantes tipos de expenmentos de combustió

Composition operators on the algebra of Dirichlet series

The algebra of Dirichlet series $\mathcal{A}(\mathcal{C}_{+})$ consists on those Dirichlet series convergent in the right half-plane $\mathcal{C}_{+}$ and which are also uniformly continuous there. This algebra was recently introduced by Aron, Bayart, Gauthier, Maestre, and Nestoridis. We describe the symbols $\Phi:\mathcal{C}_{+}\to\mathcal{C}_{+}$ giving rise to bounded composition operators $\mathit{C}_{\Phi}$ in $\mathcal{A}(\mathcal{C}_{+})$ and denote this class by $\mathcal{G}_{\mathcal{A}}$. We also characterise when the operator $\mathit{C}_{\Phi}$ is compact in $\mathcal{A}(\mathit{C}_{+})$. As a byproduct, we show that the weak compactness is equivalent to the compactness for $\mathit{C}_{\Phi}$. Next, the closure under the local uniform convergence of several classes of symbols of composition operators in Banach spaces of Dirichlet series is discussed. We also establish a one-to-one correspondence between continuous semigroups of analytic functions $\{\Phi_{t}\}$ in the class $\mathcal{G}_{\mathcal{A}}$ and strongly continuous semigroups of composition operators $\{T_{t}\}$, $T_{t}f=f\circ\Phi_{t}$, $f\in\mathcal{A}(\mathcal{C}_{+})$. We conclude providing examples showing the differences between the symbols of bounded composition operators in $\mathcal{A}(\mathcal{C}_{+})$ and the Hardy spaces of Dirichlet series $\mathcal{H}^{p}$ and $\mathcal{H}^{\infty}$
