Nutrient composition of garlic from organic and conventional breeding
ÄeÅ”njak (Allium sativum L.) je jedna od najpopularnijih vrsta iz porodice lukova koja sadrži brojne bioloÅ”ki aktivne tvari, ukljuÄujuÄi minerale, vitamine, aminokiseline i polifenolne spojeve koji pokazuju znaÄajnu antioksidacijsku aktivnost. Na nutritivna svojstva i sadržaj bioaktivnih komponenata utjeÄu klimatski uvjeti, ekotip i naÄin uzgoja, a ÄeÅ”njak iz ekoloÅ”kog uzgoja smatra se nutritivno kvalitetnijim u odnosu na ÄeÅ”njak iz konvencionalnog uzgoja.
Glavni cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je utvrditi razlike u kemijskom i nutritivnom sastavu lukovica ÄeÅ”njaka porijeklom iz ekoloÅ”kog i konvencionalnog uzgoja. U svrhu utvrÄivanja nutritivnog sastava provedene su sljedeÄe analize: sadržaj suhe tvari (%), sadržaj topljive suhe tvari (%), sadržaj ukupnih kiselina (%), pH- vrijednost, sadržaj vitamina C (mg/100 g svježe tvari), sadržaj ukupnih fenola: flavonoida i neflavonoida (mg GAE/100 g svježe tvari) i antioksidacijski kapacitet.
Temeljem dobivenih rezultata može se zakljuÄiti kako ÄeÅ”njak iz ekoloÅ”kog uzgoja pokazuje znaÄajno veÄu nutirtivnu kvalitetu posebice u sadržaju fenolnih spojeva i vitamina C.Garlic (Allium sativum L.) is one of the most popular species of onions which contains many biologically active substances including minerals, vitamins, amino acids, and polyphenolic compounds that exhibit significant antioxidant activity. The nutritional properties and the content of bioactive components are influenced by climatic conditions, ecotype and production method, and ecological garlic is considered nutritionally superior than garlic from conventional production.
The main objective of this thesis was to analyze the nutritional composition of garlic bulbs which is orginating from ecological and conventionalproduction. Following chemical analysis, in purpose of determining nutritional composition, was conducted: dry matter content (%), soluble dry matter content (%), total acidity content (%), pH-value, vitamin C content (mg/100g), total phenols content: flavonoids and noflavonoids (mgGAE/100 g) and antioxidant capacity.
Based on the obtained results it can be concluded that garlic which is orginating from ecological breeding shows a significantly higher nutritional quality, especially in the content of phenolic compounds and vitamin C

CORRELATION OF RELIGIOUSNESS WITH THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SYMPTOMS IN ONCOLOGY PATIENTS
Introduction: Malignant diseases are one of the leading mortalities in the world, causing a range of psychological symptoms
and reducing the quality of life in oncology patients. Examine the correlation of religion with the quality of life and psychological
symptoms in oncology patients.
Subjects and methods: The cross-sectional study included 100 oncology patients in the test group and 80 internal medicine
patients in the control group. A sociodemographic questionnaire was specifically designed for this study, the Duke University
Religion Index, the Symptom Check List 90, and the WHOQOL-100 quality of life assessment were used to collect the data.
Results: The average score in oncology patients was significantly lower on the subscales for physical health (p<0.000), social
connections (p<0.002), and intrinsic religiousness (p<0.046) in comparison to internal medicine patients. On the psychological
symptoms scale, the average score was higher in oncology patients with the largest difference observed on the psychoticism subscale
(p<0.078).
Conclusion: Oncology patients are statistically less religious and are not satisfied with the quality of life in comparison to
internal medicine patients. Psychological symptoms are more pronounced in oncology patients but the difference is not statistically significant. A lower level of religiousness is statistically negatively correlated with a higher severity of psychological symptoms

Markowitz' model of portfolio optimization on the croatian capital market
Ovim diplomskim radom nastoji se prikazati Markowitzev model optimizacije portfelja na hrvatskom tržiÅ”tu kapitala. U radu je ukratko opisan pojam tržiÅ”ta kapitala, te dionice i obveznice kao njegovi glavni instrumenti. Dan je povijesni pregled poslovanja ZagrebaÄke burze, kao centralnog mjesta na kojemu se susreÄu ponuda i potražnja za vrijednosnicama u Republici Hrvatskoj. Prikazane su osnovne teorijske postavke Markowitzevog modela, kao i najizraženije manjkavosti koje se vežu uz njegovu primjenu. Analiza je provedena na dionicama i obveznicama, za koje su prikupljeni podaci u razdoblju od 01.sijeÄnja 2009. godine do 30.travnja 2017.godine. Temeljem prikupljenih podataka izvrÅ”ena je optimizacija dioniÄkog, obvezniÄkog i mjeÅ”ovitog portfelja.This graduate thesis aims to present Markowitz's portfolio optimization model on the Croatian capital market. The paper briefly describes the concept of the capital market, as well as stocks and bonds as its main instruments. There has been given a historical review of the Zagreb Stock Exchange's business, as the central place where the supply and demand for securities in the Republic of Croatia are met. The basic theoretical assumptions of Markowitz's model are presented, as well as the most significant deficiencies that bind to its application. The analysis was carried out on stocks and bonds, for which data were collected in the period between January 1, 2009 and April 30, 2017. Based on the collected data, the optimization of the stock, bond and mixed portfolio was carried out

Razvoj ugostiteljskih objekata na podruÄju Slavonije
Ovaj rad je usmjeren na analizu razvoja ugostiteljskih objekata na podruÄju Slavonije. Slavonska ugostiteljska ponuda je bogata te se može pohvaliti dugom tradicijom. Ipak, može se reÄi da je Slavonija daleko iza obalnog dijela zemlje u kontekstu (ekonomske) razvijenosti, ali i posjeÄenosti Å”to se itekako odražava na Äitavu regiju. Prostora za napredak ima mnogo i potrebno je to iskoristiti. Poticanje razvoja ugostiteljskih objekata poput seoskih gospodarstava jedan je od naÄina kojim bi se doprinijelo daljnjem razvoju kraja.
