Relatório final de estágio pedagógico : relatório final de estágio realizado na Escola Secundária da Amadora

Este relatório tem como objetivo descrever as experiências vividas enquanto professor estagiário de Educação Física, na Escola Secundária da Amadora, no decorrer do ano letivo 2016/2017. Não se pretende com o mesmo relatar somente a totalidade dos acontecimentos ocorridos durante todo o estágio pedagógico ou as respetivas reflexões existindo, igualmente, a intenção de levantar questões, provocar e de destacar os pontos que se consideram verdadeiramente significativos. O relatório está organizado em duas partes iniciais – “Assim que o jogo acabou…” e “O Estágio como Simbiose entre Escola e Professor Estagiário” – que introduzem a realização deste estágio (uma de cariz muito pessoal, a outra com uma configuração mais formal), seguidas de “O Contexto de Estágio”, identificando aspetos como, o aluno, o professor, a instituição escolar ou o grupo de estágio. Já no “Processo de Estágio”, o mesmo subdivide-se pelas áreas de intervenção profissional. “O Ensino-aprendizagem” (Área 1: Organização e gestão do ensino e da aprendizagem), onde existe o propósito de salientar aquilo que foi realizado, destacando os pontos positivos e negativos, de analisar as decisões tomadas e de conferir importância à ideia de ser ter experimentado diferentes métodos, estratégias para crescimento pessoal mas, acima de tudo, para aprendizagem dos alunos. No “Grupo de Educação Física”, (Área 2: Investigação e inovação pedagógica) foram apresentadas as orientações e limitações dessa realidade, projetando um estudo da temática do trabalho colaborativo para responder, sensibilizar e melhorar toda a dinâmica docente da escola. O trabalho desenvolvido no projeto de Desporto Escolar, bem como, a concretização dos torneios desportivos inter-turmas são apresentados no ponto “Para além das aulas” (Área 3: Participação na escola). A “Comunidade” (Área 4: Relação com a comunidade) retrata quer a relação e trabalho com o director de turma na gestão da mesma, quer a relação e o contacto com os pais evidenciado nas reuniões de encarregados de educação. De forma transversal a todas as áreas, pretende-se demonstrar o pensamento crítico, a criatividade e as diferentes decisões tomadas que enriqueceram o ano de estágio, tendo sido o mesmo, um processo simbiótico para ambos os lados: escola e professor.The aim of this report is to describe the experiences lived as a trainee teacher of Physical Education, at Amadora High School, during the academic year of 2016/2017. While the primary purpose is to report all the events that occurred throughout the pedagogical internship and the respective reflections, there is also the intention of raising questions, provoking and highlighting the points that are considered truly meaningful. The report is organized in two initial parts – “As soon as the game is over..." and "The internship as a symbiosis between school and trainee teacher" – Introducing the structure of the internship (one from a personal point of view, and the other from a formal setting), followed by "The Internship Context", identifying aspects such as the student, the teacher, the school institution or the internship group. The "Internship Process" is divided by the areas of professional intervention. "The Teaching-Learning" (Area 1: Organization and management of Education and learning), where the purpose is to highlight what has been accomplished, the positive and negative points, analyses of the decisions that were taken and to emphasize the importance of trying different methods and strategies, not only for personal growth but, above all, for student learning. In “Physical Education Group”, (Area 2: Research and pedagogical innovation) the guidelines and limitations of these fields were presented, and a study of the thematic of collaborative work was designed to give response, raise awareness and improve the entire school's teaching dynamics. The work developed in the School Sport project, as well as the realization of the inter-class sports tournaments are presented in the "In addition to the lessons" part (Area 3: Participation in the school). The "Community" (Area 4: Relationship with the community) gives an insight of both the relationship and work with the director of the class in the management of the same and the relationship and contact with the parents present in the meetings. In a way that involves all these different areas, the goal is to demonstrate that critical thinking, creativity and the different decisions that were made, enriched the internship year, which led to a symbiotic relationship for both the school and teacher

Recommendations of the neuroendocrinology department of the Brazilian society of endocrinology and metabolism for the diagnosis of Cushing’s disease in Brazil

Although it is a rare condition, the accurate diagnosis and treatment of Cushing’s disease is important due to its higher morbidity and mortality compared to the general population, which is attributed to cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus and infections. Screening for hypercortisolism is recommended for patients who present multiple and progressive clinical signs and symptoms, especially those who are considered to be more specific to Cushing’s syndrome, abnormal findings relative to age (e.g., spinal osteoporosis and high blood pressure in young patients), weight gain associated with reduced growth rate in the pediatric population and for those with adrenal incidentalomas. Routine screening is not recommended for other groups of patients, such as those with obesity or diabetes mellitus. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the pituitary, the corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) test and the high-dose dexamethasone suppression test are the main tests for the differential diagnosis of ACTH-dependent Cushing’s syndrome. Bilateral and simultaneous petrosal sinus sampling is the gold standard method and is performed when the triad of initial tests is inconclusive, doubtful or conflicting. The aim of this article is to provide information on the early detection and establishment of a proper diagnosis of Cushing’s disease, recommending follow-up of these patients at experienced referral centers

Neurocriptococose e meningite pneumocócica em paciente vivendo com HIV / Neurocryptococcosis and pneumococcal meningitis in a patient living with HIV

Introdução: A neurocriptococose e a meningite pneumocócica são duas doenças oportunistas que podem acometer pessoas vivendo com HIV (PVHIV) com cd4 baixo. No entanto, encontrar associadas no mesmo paciente é raro. Objetivo: Relatar um caso de neurocriptococose concomitante a meningite pneumocócica em paciente vivendo com HIV da cidade de manaus – AM. Metodologia: Pesquisa descritiva com relato de caso com coleta dos dados clínicos através do prontuário. Resultados: Paciente evoluindo há 3 messes com clínica compatível com síndrome da imunodeficiência, sendo confirmado infecção por HIV, associado clinica neurológica extensa com características de comprometimento do parênquima encefálico e meníngeo. Confirmado o diagnóstico de neurocriptococose e meningite pneumocócica.  Considerações Finais: O relato apresentado descrever em um único caso diversas características da infecção por HIV. Concluído que a evolução da doença é peculiar a cada paciente por depender de múltiplos fatores que colaboram ou não para a morbimortalidade e gravidade do HIV. Destacasse a clínica e a evolução de duas importantes infecções relacionadas a imunodeficiência pelo HIV. Demostrando as possibilidades patológicas que o paciente portador do HIV, sem tratamento adequado, estar predispostos a desenvolver ao longo da evolução da doença e a suas múltiplas associações, caracterizando um desafio para o infectologista na abordagem a esses pacientes. 

Transformaciones y retos de la educación en las artes y los diseños (tomo 2)

Y a propósito de estas reflexiones, también se plantea un escenario sobre ¿a dónde queremos o debemos llegar en la educación en artes y diseño? Full-Exon Pyrosequencing Screening of BRCA Germline Mutations in Mexican Women with Inherited Breast and Ovarian Cancer

Hereditary breast cancer comprises 10% of all breast cancers. The most prevalent genes causing this pathology are BRCA1 and BRCA2 (breast cancer early onset 1 and 2), which also predispose to other cancers. Despite the outstanding relevance of genetic screening of BRCA deleterious variants in patients with a history of familial cancer, this practice is not common in Latin American public institutions. In this work we assessed mutations in the entire exonic and splice-site regions of BRCA in 39 patients with breast and ovarian cancer and with familial history of breast cancer or with clinical features suggestive for BRCA mutations by massive parallel pyrosequencing. First we evaluated the method with controls and found 41–485 reads per sequence in BRCA pathogenic mutations. Negative controls did not show deleterious variants, confirming the suitability of the approach. In patients diagnosed with cancer we found 4 novel deleterious mutations (c.2805_2808delAGAT and c.3124_3133delAGCAATATTA in BRCA1; c.2639_2640delTG and c.5114_5117delTAAA in BRCA2). The prevalence of BRCA mutations in these patients was 10.2%. Moreover, we discovered 16 variants with unknown clinical significance (11 in exons and 5 in introns); 4 were predicted as possibly pathogenic by in silico analyses, and 3 have not been described previously. This study illustrates how massive pyrosequencing technology can be applied to screen for BRCA mutations in the whole exonic and splice regions in patients with suspected BRCA-related cancers.
