Ferramenta para análise de jogos com base em interpretação afetiva das expressões faciais do jogador

A compreensão dessa experiência têm sido relevante tanto no contexto de pesquisas acadêmicas quanto na indústria que busca cada vez mais aperfeiçoar seus jogos e entender como o jogador se relaciona com esses artefatos. Nesse contexto, este trabalho propõe uma ferramenta para auxiliar na compreensão das reações dos jogadores através da inferência de estados afetivos a partir da expressão facial dos usuários durante uma sessão de jogo. Mais precisamente, ela permite a configuração de um ou mais aspectos variáveis de um jogo para cada teste e, a partir dos dados adquiridos tanto do próprio jogo quanto das inferências, gera gráficos, vídeos e arquivos CSV. Além disso, salienta-se que a ferramenta não está limitada a um determinado gênero de jogo. Foram realizados, ainda, testes para exemplificar como a ferramenta pode vir a ser utilizada e são demonstradas algumas possíveis análises feitas com a ferramenta. Os testes demonstraram o uso de gráficos e vídeos para análises qualitativas visuais além de análises numéricas através dos dados de um arquivo CSV.Digital game scan provoke diverse emotions and reactions from their users. Comprehending these experiences has been relevant both for academic research and for the game’s industry, which searches to improve it’s games and understand how the player relates to these artifacts. In this context, this work proposes a tool to aid on the understanding of players’ reactions through the inferring of affective states achieved from users facial expression during game session. Specifically, it permits the configuration of one or more variable aspects of a game for each test and, from the data acquired from both the game and the inferences, generates graphs, videos and CSV files. Besides, it is stressed that the tool is not limited to any specific game genre. Moreover, test were realized to exemplify how the tool can be used and some possible analyses that can be done with the software were demonstrated. The tests resulted in findings about problems and strengths of the game. Such analysis is associated with the use of the diverse set of data gathered by the tool. The tests demonstrated how the graphs and videos can be used for visual qualitative analisys. On the other hand, numeric analysis are possible through the use of the data in the CSV file

Facebook, a nova arquibancada para o marketing de relacionamento

This paper aims to relate the marketing strategies adopted by football teams in social media networks with an increasing number of users and their interactions on the fanpage of each football club. Information was gathered from the top Brazilian football teams in the first and second divisions in 2013 on Facebook. The findings show that Authenticity, Disclosure and Information Dissemination are positively related to increasing the number of users. Authenticity impacts directly in the number of interactions, reinforcing the need for an active management of the fanpages. The findings show that the professional management of a Facebook page contributes positively to the increase in the number of fans on its pages. This allows clubs to model new relationship strategies with their fans and sponsors.Keywords: social media, social network sites, relationship marketing, marketing strategy, Facebook, sports management.Este artigo tem como objetivo relacionar as estratégias de marketing adotadas por equipes de futebol em redes sociais com o aumento no número de usuários e de suas interações na fanpage de cada clube. Para atingir esse objetivo, coletaram-se informações das principais equipes da primeira e segunda divisão de futebol brasileiro em 2013 no Facebook. As descobertas mostram que a Autenticidade, a Divulgação e a Informação são positivamente relacionadas com o aumento de usuários. A Autenticidade impacta diretamente no número de interações, reforçando a necessidade de uma gestão ativa das páginas. As descobertas mostram que o gerenciamento profissional de páginas do Facebook contribui positivamente para o aumento do número de fãs em suas páginas. Predictive equations overestimated the resting energy expenditure by indirect calorimetry in adults with sickle cell disease

Background: Traditionally, sickle cell disease (SCD) is associated with hypermetabolism. Despite this, few studies have compared resting energy expenditure (REE) with estimated predictive equations (EPE) in the assessment of adults with SCD. Aims: To compare REE values determined by indirect calorimetry (IC) with EPE in adults with SCD. Patients and Methods: 46 patients over 34 years old who were in the treatment performed a cross-sectional observational study from two reference centers for SCD located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The assess body composition and REE used Dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry and IC, respectively. Blood levels were measured to assess hemolytic and protein markers. For the univariate correlation used the Pearson’s correlation test. The comparison between EPE and REE used the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient and the Bland-Altman analysis. Results: 63% of patients were women, 80.4% of homozygous sickle cell disease genotype, and, 52.2% were black color. The mean age was 50 years old. Weight (r=0.469; p=0,001), lean mass (r=0.631; p=0.000), bone mineral content (r=0.508; p=0.000) and C-reactive protein (r=0.319; p=0.002) correlated positively with the REE. There was no linear correlation between markers of hemolysis such as total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, and lactic dehydrogenase with REE. The REE was overestimated in the EPE when compared to IC (p<0.001). Conclusions: The prediction equations developed for healthy populations are not accurate enough to determine the energy requirements in SCD

Processo de trabalho em saúde

Pretende-se nesse módulo estimular uma reflexão sobre os modelos assistenciais em saúde em diferentes contextos, situando, no caso do Brasil, a sua evolução em diferentes momentos históricos e os principais determinantes dessa evolução. Trata-se em particular do Sistema Único de Saúde e da estratégia de Saúde da Família entendida como projeto de reorganização da Atenção Básica de Saúde e de implementação do novo modelo assistencial que está expresso em nossa Constituição. Aborda-se ainda o trabalho da equipe de Saúde da Família no esforço de reorientação da ABS e de mudança de modelo assistencial. A Implementação da Meritocracia como Plataforma de Desempenho em uma Entidade Esportiva de Alto Rendimento

In corporate organizations, meritocracy is conceived when employees are valued for their contribution to companies’ results. In turn, organizations promote this exchange with the purpose of engaging the collaborator with the goals that it pretends to achieve. In this scenario, the principles of meritocracy are applied. In Sport, one of the types of meritocracy is called High Performance, in which competition is characterized by the development of athletes and the quest for victory over opponents, with natural objective comparisons between players and teams. Thus, the concepts of meritocracy can be adapted and used in the universe of Sports. This work aims to understand meritocracy concept application in a high-performance tennis sports entity. Thus, we condicted an in-depth interview with the manager of the tennis entity and analyzed the results that pointed out how the entity seeks the evolution of young players in the ranking using meritocracy. Among the conclusions, this work presents the evolution of the main young tennis players who participate in the entity studied. In addition to the increasing in the ranking list of the best young players, the concepts of meritocracy, by increasing the performance of athletes, fit the universe of the sport that seeks for results in high performance, and can be replicated in other organizational contexts.Nas organizações corporativas a meritocracia é concebida quando os empregados são valorizados pelo que contribuem para os resultados. Por sua vez, as organizações promovem essa troca com a finalidade de comprometer o colaborador com os objetivos que quer alcançar. Neste cenário, aplicam-se os princípios da Meritocracia. No Esporte, uma das vertentes é o Alto Rendimento, onde a competição é caracterizada pelo desenvolvimento de atletas e da busca pela vitória sobre adversários, com naturais comparações objetivas entre jogadores e equipes. Assim, os conceitos de Meritocracia podem ser utilizados, ainda que adaptados, ao universo dos Esportes. Este trabalho busca justamente o entendimento de sua aplicação em uma entidade esportiva de alto rendimento, cujo esporte objetivo é o Tênis. Com uma entrevista semiestruturada com o gestor da entidade e análise dos resultados, foi possível entender como a entidade busca a evolução de seus jovens tenistas no ranking condizente, fazendo uso da meritocracia. Entre as conclusões, este trabalho apresenta a evolução dos principais jovens tenistas que participam da entidade estudada. Além do desenvolvimento numeral na lista que os ranqueia entre os melhores tenistas juvenis, fica evidente que os conceitos de meritocracia, ao aumentar o desempenho dos atletas, cabem ao universo do esporte que busca resultado no alto rendimento, podendo ser replicados em outros contextos organizacionais

O LEGADO DA COPA E SEU IMPACTO NO FUTURO DA CIDADE DE SÃO PAULO

Legacies – structures that are built for events and which remain after the same - are one of the major positive aspects paraded by mega sporting events organizers. This study´s purpose is to analyze the current situation of legacies promised by the many governmental instances for the city of São Paulo - host city of Fifa´s 2014 World Cup – and prospect which legacies will become effective in the city. Preliminary assessments may raise construction concerns, alert the public to keep an eye on undertaken obligations and encourage official actions (Mangan, 2008, p. 1,871). Data was obtained from National Audit Court (TCU) reports, Ministry and United Nations documents, in addition to testimonials and information gathered from some of Brazil´s major press media. Data analysis was conducted by classifying legacies according to tangible and intangible legacy concepts (Kaplanidou and Karadakis, 2010) followed by an analysis of promised legacies versus current status during the period of analysis. Finally, discussions as to most probable to come about legacies were presented. Results indicate that a portion of promised legacies stand a fair chance of achievement. On the other hand, other projects lag behind schedule or have been cancelled. Preliminary surveys suggest full completion of promised legacies is not possible, there has been an overuse of public resources as opposed to that planned, and provide indicatives as to the investment´s high opportunity cost.Os legados, estruturas criadas para o evento e que permanecem após o mesmo, são um dos principais aspectos positivos alardeados pelos organizadores de megaeventos esportivos. O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar a situação atual dos legados prometidos pelas diversas instancias do governo para a cidade de São Paulo, cidade-sede da Copa do Mundo de Futebol de 2014, e projetar quais são os legados que se efetivarão na cidade. Avaliações preliminares podem levantar preocupações construtivas, alertar o público para observar as obrigações assumidas e estimular ações oficiais (Mangan, 2008, p. 1.871). Os dados foram obtidos através de relatórios do Tribunal de Contas da União, documentos ministeriais e da Organização das Nações Unidas, além de depoimentos e informações obtidas em alguns veículos da grande imprensa brasileira. A análise de dados se deu com a classificação dos legados de acordo com os conceitos de legados tangíveis e intangíveis (Kaplanidou e Karadakis, 2010) e com uma análise sobre o legado prometido versus o status no período da análise. Por fim, uma discussão das projeções dos legados mais prováveis de se concretizarem foi realizada. Os resultados apontam que parte das promessas de legado tem boas chances de se concretizarem. No entanto, outros projetos estão com cronogramas atrasados, ou foram cancelados. O levantamento preliminar aponta a impossibilidade da completa realização dos legados prometidos, a utilização de mais recursos públicos do que o planejado e o alto custo de oportunidade do investimento

A influência da anomia e do comprometimento organizacional sobre a intenção de rotatividade em organizações

O contexto atual das organizações é de grande competição em um mercado cada vez mais marcado por mudanças. Para as empresas se manterem competitivas em tal cenário, devem investir em ações de recrutamento, seleção e treinamento e, principalmente, criar estratégias para reter seus talentos. No presente estudo pretendeu-se testar um modelo explicativo da intenção de rotatividade a partir dos preditores anomia organizacional e comprometimento organizacional. Participaram 325 trabalhadores de diferentes organizações. Os participantes responderam a instrumentos validados para mensurar as variáveis do estudo. As respostas foram submetidas a técnica de Modelagem de Equações Estruturais. Os resultados demonstraram que a anomia exerce influência negativa sobre o comprometimento e positiva sobre a intenção de sair da empresa

Evidence in practice of tissue healing with latex biomembrane : integrative review

Wound healing is a perfectly coordinated cascade of cellular, molecular, and biochemical events which interact in tissue reconstitution. Chronic diseases such as pressure ulcers (PU) and diabetes mellitus (DM) are considered risk factors for wound healing. Patients with such diseases often have higher sepsis, infection, and complication rates, since they have revascularization inhibition and low growth factor expression. Thus, latex biomembrane (LBM), a biocompatible material, derived from the latex of the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) appears to create tendencies as an angiogenic-inducing tissue healing agent and as biomaterial, resulting from its structural qualities and its low cost when compared to conventional treatments. Therefore, this work aims at summarizing the results, experiments, and scientific findings that certify or recommend the use of LBM as a new technique to be applied effectively in the treatment of wounds. An integrative review was held in the BIREME, LILACS, Burns, MEDLINE, PubMed, and SciELO databases, from 2000 to 2016, using the following descriptors: “healing,” “diabetes mellitus,” “wounds,” and “latex membrane.” As a result, 600 experiments (out of 612) presented satisfactory results; however, 33% of the cases received explicit recommendations, 11% required more studies on the subjects, and 1% was denied. On the other hand, half of the studies did not expressly endorse its use, despite presenting satisfactory results. The LBM was characterized as a good therapeutic alternative in cases of wounds, including chronic diseases, such as diabetes mellitus and PU, due to its relevant potential for wound healing stimulation, acceleration of cell tissue mending and revascularization, or the reestablishment of angiogenic functions (creation of new blood vessels). The LBM was also confirmed to be safe as a biocompatible material whose structural qualities (elasticity, adaptability, impermeability, and possibility of suture), devoid of toxicity, allowed interaction between tissues and presented no hypersensitivity inducer and no antimicrobial effect
