Saddle Points Stability in the Replica Approach Off Equilibrium

We study the replica free energy surface for a spin glass model near the glassy temperature. In this model the simplicity of the equilibrium solution hides non trivial metastable saddle points. By means of the stability analysis performed for one and two real replicas constrained, an interpretation for some of them is achieved.Comment: 10 pages and 3 figures upon request, Univerista` di Roma I preprint 94/100

Partial actions of groups on algebras, a survey

Get PDF
In this survey paper we define partial actions of groups on algebras and give several related results. For any partial action a partial skew group ring is defined. This partial skew group ring is not always associative. Conditions under which associativity holds are studied. Several other questions are considered like, for example, enveloping actions and properties of partial skew group rings

Closed Submodules of Centred Bimodules over Prime Rings, and Applications

Get PDF
This paper is a survey on results of several papers by the author. In the first two sections we smmnarize the main results on closed submodules of centred bimodules over prime rings. In the rest of the paper we mention several applications of the results, mainly to study properties concerning prime ideals and radicals of centred extensions

An Introduction to Kõthe's Conjecture and Polynomial Rings

In this paper we give an introduction to Kéithe's conjecture. We summarize results on the conjecture emphasizing relations with polynomial rings. We also give some results on polynomial rings in several indeterminates and connected questions

Many current studies, both national and international, focus on the teaching and training of psychologists in universities. These studies use many tools and approaches, giving an increasingly clear view on many aspects of the undergraduate programs in psychology. This research focuses on some aspects of the referenced texts in the syllabi of the courses belonging to the undergraduate program of psychology taught in the National University of San Luis, according to the latest general regulations 4/96, and the modifications of 21/99 and 01/04. It is worth mentioning that this undergraduate program is the only one in the country where students can choose a set of seven advanced courses divided by their theoretical approach. From a methdological standpoint, this study applies sociobibliometric tools to analyse the syllabi of the undegraduate program's courses, particularly to the section where their bibliography is listed. The sociobibliometric tools used allow the observation of certain remarkable characteristics related to the amount of material that students are required to read, depending on how advanced they are in the undergraduate program.Fil: Vázquez Ferrero, Sebastián Miguel. In this paper we prove that if R is a prime ring and I is an R-disjoint ideal of an Ore extension R[χ, δ,d], then I is closed and principal generated by a normal polynomial of minimal degree if and only if I contains a Sharma polynomial of minimal degree.</p

Ten-year long-term results of total joint arthroplasties with ARPE® implant in the treatment of trapeziometacarpal osteoarthritis

Producción CientíficaBetween May 1999 and April 2002 a total of 69 consecutive thumb carpometacarpal joint arthoplasties were performed in a total of 64 patients for carpometacarpal joint osteoarthritis using the cementless hydroxyapatite (HA)-coated unconstrained ARPE implant. Clinical, functional and radiological results at 10-year follow-up are presented. Survival analysis was performed using the Kaplan–Meier method. Of the 64 patients, fourwere lost to follow-up, 60 implants (92.3%) were functional and five (7.7%) were not (two dislocated, two were removed and one with aseptic loosening). Survival estimate for functional implants over 10 years was 93.9%(95% confidence interval 82.3–97.9). The radiographs were satisfactory in 82.4%. There was subsidence of thecup in 15.8%. Thumb carpometacarpal joint arthroplasty with the ARPE implant offers a reliable treatmentalternative in patients with Eaton grade III or IV thumb carpometacarpal joint arthritis in the presence of good bone stock
