Existence of solution to a critical equation with variable exponent

In this paper we study the existence problem for the $p(x)-$Laplacian operator with a nonlinear critical source. We find a local condition on the exponents ensuring the existence of a nontrivial solution that shows that the Pohozaev obstruction does not holds in general in the variable exponent setting. The proof relies on the Concentration--Compactness Principle for variable exponents and the Mountain Pass Theorem

A mass transportation approach for Sobolev inequalities in variable exponent spaces

In this paper we provide a proof of the Sobolev-Poincar\'e inequality for variable exponent spaces by means of mass transportation methods. The importance of this approach is that the method is exible enough to deal with different inequalities. As an application, we also deduce the Sobolev-trace inequality improving the result obtained by Fan.Comment: 12 page

Is it possible to quantify the functions of the dress? A Question for Functional Analysis Methods in Design

When we face the study of dress from its artifactual identity, we observe that its so-called functional dimension cannot be understood in the same terms proposed by the ergonomics of the product, that is, from the ergonomic concepts of usability, efficiency, effectiveness and psychological comfort in relation to a specific activity or work.This article, presents the results of a review of the functional analysis methods commonly used by design for the study of clothing, and explains why they are insufficient or limited to address the multiple functions of this particular artifact. At the same time, it proposes some considerations for its functional analysis that contribute in a decisive way to the design process of the clothing design.

Liturgical furniture of the 18th century in Guillena's parochial church

El presente artículo estudia diferentes piezas del mobiliario litúrgico de la parroquia de Nuestra Señora de la Granada de la Villa de Guillena (Sevilla), que fueron adquiridas en el siglo XVIII. A través de la investigación en diversos archivos históricos, hemos podido dar a conocer nuevos datos sobre la talla y dorado del retablo mayor, la obra de la sillería coral, y la construcción del tenebrario de tinieblas y del monumento eucarístico.This paper studies different pieces of the liturgical furniture of the parish of Our Lady of the Granada of Guillena’s Villa (Seville), which were acquired in the 18th century. El presente artículo estudia el contracto que firmó Medinilla para la construcción del retablo mayor de la parroquia de San Esustaquio en Sanlúcar la Mayor.Architect and sculptor José Fernando de Medinilla had remainded practically unknown until José Gestoso y Pérez wrote about him in 1899. Model Based Development of Quality-Aware Software Services

Modelling languages and development frameworks give support for functional and structural description of software architectures. But quality-aware applications require languages which allow expressing QoS as a first-class concept during architecture design and service composition, and to extend existing tools and infrastructures adding support for modelling, evaluating, managing and monitoring QoS aspects. In addition to its functional behaviour and internal structure, the developer of each service must consider the fulfilment of its quality requirements. If the service is flexible, the output quality depends both on input quality and available resources (e.g., amounts of CPU execution time and memory). From the software engineering point of view, modelling of quality-aware requirements and architectures require modelling support for the description of quality concepts, support for the analysis of quality properties (e.g. model checking and consistencies of quality constraints, assembly of quality), tool support for the transition from quality requirements to quality-aware architectures, and from quality-aware architecture to service run-time infrastructures. Quality management in run-time service infrastructures must give support for handling quality concepts dynamically. QoS-aware modeling frameworks and QoS-aware runtime management infrastructures require a common evolution to get their integration
