Scalar form factors of semi-leptonic D→π/KˉD\to\pi/ \bar{K} transitions with coupled-channel effects

Coupled-channel effects are taken into account for the study of scalar form factors in semi-leptonic $D\to\pi\bar{\ell}\nu_\ell$ and $D\to \bar{K}\bar{\ell}\nu_\ell$ decays, by solving the Muskhelishvili-Omn\`es integral equations. As inputs, we employ the unitarized amplitudes taken from chiral effective theory for the region not far away from thresholds, while, at higher energies of the Goldstone bosons, proper asymptotic conditions are employed. Within Muskhelishvili-Omn\`es formalism, the scalar form factors are represented in terms of Omn\`es matrix multiplied by a vector of polynomials. We reduce the number of subtraction constants by matching to the scalar form factors derived in chiral perturbation theory up to next-to-leading order. The recent lattice QCD data by ETM collaboration for ${D\to\pi}$ and ${D\to\bar{K}}$ scalar form factors are simultaneously well described. The scalar form factors for $D\to\eta$, $D_s\to \bar{K}$ and $D_s\to \eta$ transitions are predicted in their whole kinematical regions. Using our fitting parameters, we also extract the following Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa elements: $|V_{cd}|=0.243(_{-12}^{+11})_{\rm sta.}({3})_{\rm sys.}(3)_{\rm exp.}$ and $|V_{cs}|=0.950(_{-40}^{+39})_{\rm sta.}(1)_{\rm sys.}(7)_{\rm exp.}$. La sociedad ha cambiado radicalmente en las últimas décadas y también lo ha hecho en los aspectos relacionados con la mujer. Aunque venimos insistiendo en el papel central de los medios y de la publicidad en el refuerzo y mantenimiento de los discursos dominantes y de los papeles y valores tradicionalmente atribuidos a mujeres y hombres, también es cierto que podemos encontrar algunos discursos «nuevos» que representan (e impulsan) nuevas realidades

Imperio e identidad: consideraciones historiográficas sobre el momento imperial español

Dentro de la actual discusión sobre el orden político de los tiempos modernos, caracterizada por la llamada “crisis del Estado”, el concepto de “imperio” se insinúa como una posible alternativa. En la presente colaboración se ofrecen algunas consideraciones sobre la recurrente presencia de esa percepción crítica del orden estatal en la reciente historia europea, destacando las particularidades y las implicaciones que ese proceso tuvo en el caso español

Athlantidas españoles. La reescritura de los orígenes en la Monarquía de España (1672-1740)

Afectada por una profunda crisis interna, la Monarquía de España experimentó un proceso de redefinición identitaria entre el último tercio del siglo XVII y los años cuarenta del siglo XVIII. En una particular síntesis entre la tradición historiográfica propia y las propuestas que llegaban desde la incipiente modernidad europea, los autores de ese proceso configuraron un primer relato del “tiempo desconocido” de ese cuerpo político. Los atlántidas españoles irrumpieron como protagonistas de un renovado imaginario nacional, como un pueblo instituyente de la cultura europea y creador a la vez de un imperio grandioso que legitimaba la propia tarea de reconstrucción. Con variantes, esa preocupación por los orígenes dominaría la reflexión del siglo XVIII

Entre el antiguo y el nuevo régimen : la representación representada

El trabajo intenta poner de manifiesto los supuestos políticos de las dos principales propuestas que se debatieron en los comienzos del proceso revolucionario de 1808. Por una parte la representada por aquellos sectores que, dentro del nuevo contexto, defendían la continuidad del orden tradicional de la Monarquía; de otra la de quienes postulaban la capacidad de esa misma constitución antigua para incorporar unos principios que, supuestamente revolucionarios, estaban ya radicados en esa misma constitución.The work attempts to highlight the political assumptions of the two main proposals that were discussed at the beginning of the revolutionary process of 1808. On the one hand the one represented by those sectors that, within the new context, defended the continuity of the traditional order of the Monarchy; on the other, those who postulated the capacity aft ha same old constitution to incorporate principles that, supposedly revolutionary, were already based on that same constitution

Maximize Resolution or Minimize Error? Using Genotyping-By-Sequencing to Investigate the Recent Diversification of Helianthemum (Cistaceae)

A robust phylogenetic framework, in terms of extensive geographical and taxonomic sampling, well-resolved species relationships and high certainty of tree topologies and branch length estimations, is critical in the study of macroevolutionary patterns. Whereas Sanger sequencing-based methods usually recover insufficient phylogenetic signal, especially in recently diversified lineages, reduced-representation sequencing methods tend to provide well-supported phylogenetic relationships, but usually entail remarkable bioinformatic challenges due to the inherent trade-off between the number of SNPs and the magnitude of associated error rates. The genus Helianthemum (Cistaceae) is a species-rich and taxonomically complex Palearctic group of plants that diversified mainly since the Upper Miocene. It is a challenging case study since previous attempts using Sanger sequencing were unable to resolve the intrageneric phylogenetic relationships. Aiming to obtain a robust phylogenetic reconstruction based on genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS), we established a rigorous methodological workflow in which we i) explored how variable settings during dataset assembly have an impact on error rates and on the degree of resolution under concatenation and coalescent approaches, ii) assessed the effect of two extreme parameter configurations (minimizing error rates vs. maximizing phylogenetic resolution) on tree topology and branch lengths, and iii) evaluated the effects of these two configurations on estimates of divergence times and diversification rates. Our analyses produced highly supported topologically congruent phylogenetic trees for both configurations. However, minimizing error rates did produce more reliable branch lengths, critically affecting the accuracy of downstream analyses (i.e. divergence times and diversification rates). In addition to recommending a revision of intrageneric systematics, our results enabled us to identify three highly diversified lineages in Helianthemum in contrasting geographical areas and ecological conditions, which started radiating in the Upper Miocene.España, MINECO grants CGL2014- 52459-P and CGL2017-82465-PEspaña, Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad, reference IJCI-2015-2345
