Tumor growth inhibition by RGD peptide directed delivery of truncated tissue factor to the tumor vasculature
The selective activation of coagulation on tumor blood vessels is a
promising anti-vascular tumor therapy. For such a strategy a fusion
protein composed of truncated tissue factor (short tTF which is the
major coagulation activator) and a RGD oligopeptide that binds
selectively to tumor endothelial cells receptors was generated. This tTF
fusion protein tTF-GRGDSP (short tTF-RGD) was stable expressed,
purificated, biochemical characterized and finally evaluated with human
solid tumors in a mouse xenotransplantated model. The tumor growth in
tumor bearing mice treated with tTF-RGD was significantly retarded in
comparison with tTF and Nacl alone. This work shows for the first time
the effective in vivo inhibition of human tumor growth targeting tTF-RGD
fused protein to natural markers of angiogenesis in tumor endothelial
cells by means of selective intraluminal blood coagulation in the tumor
vasculature
edad, sexo, cultura/religión y estatus socio-económico-cultural.
The main objective of this paper is to reflect the types and levels of Fear and Social Skills, and the influence over each
other, of students in the city of Ceuta. We focused on 1186 participants from 9 different educational institutions; 42.2%
are boys and 57.8% girls; 58.9% are Muslims and 41.1% Christians. The techniques used in this survey are Fear Survey
Schedule for Children (FSSC-II), adapted for its use in the Spanish language by Ascensio, et al. (2012),the Matesanz,
(2006) adaptation of Fear Survey Schedule, as well as the EHS (Gismero, 2000).The results show medium levels on
Fear and medium-high levels on Social Skills, and they are influenced by the sociodemographic factors of age, gender,
customs/religion and socioeconomic and cultural. We have also found a relationship between Fear and Social Skills
Gender differences over initial a validation of a test under construction to asses Emotional Intelligence at a sample of students from Secondary Education
el análisis a ambos géneros por separadoThe objective of this paper is to develop a questionnaire to assess Emotional
Intelligence (EI), aimed at a sample of students from Secondary Education..We
focused on 557.The techniques used in this survey are a test developed to
assess EI in teenagers and a similar adaptation of EHS (Gismero, 2000). The
results show high levels of reliability for both genders. The dimensions are
different (4 girls and 5 boys) for both genders. There are positive correlations
between totals and the dimensions that make them. We found significant
correlations between the two scales. Therefore this questionnaire is an
appropriate tool to evaluate these capabilities after making some modifications
in future works. It is more appropriate to apply the analysis separatel
Se halló relación entre RA e IE, siendo directamente proporcionalesThis work has as main objective which in to analyze the types and levels of Academic Achievement and Emotional Intelligence, according to age, gender, religion and socioeconomic and cultural factor, as well as the links between both variables. To make that possible we focused on 811 participants; 71.6% of the total were Muslims and 28.4% Roman Catholic, 46.1% were male and 53.9% female. The techniques used in this survey were an EI questionnaire, as well as the students' grades. The results show medium-high levels of EI. This is influenced by age, gender, culture and socioeconomic and cultural factor. We found medium levels of AA. This is influenced by age, culture and socioeconomic and cultural factor. There is a statistically significant relationship between AA and EI. This relationship is directly proportiona
Influence of fear in academic achievement of the teenager: the pluricultural context of Ceuta
Se obtuvo relación estadÃsticamente significativa entre Miedo y RA.We want to reflect the types of Fear and Academic Achievement (AA), and the influence over each other, of teenagers from 12 to 18 in Ceuta. We focused on 557 participants that reflect multicultural features; 45.8% are boys, 54.2% girls; 64.5% are Muslims and 35.5% Christians. The techniques used in this survey are FSSC-II (Ascensio et al., 2012), as well as the children's grades. The results show mid-low levels on Fear and medium in Achievement. They are influenced in a very different way by the sociodemographic factors of age and customs/religion. The gender factor only affects the fear variable and socioeconomic and cultural on Achievement. We have also found a statistically significant relationship between Fear and Academic Achievement
emocional aparecen tres predictores, edad, cultura y género.
This work has as main objective to analyze the predictors of Anxiety and Emotional Intelligence, according to age,
gender, culture and socioeconomic and cultural, as well as the relationships that could be given between both variables,
for a multicultural adolescent sample. To make it possible we focused on 811 participants from six educational centers;
71.6% of the total was Muslims and 28.4% belonged to the Christian religion, 46.1% were male and 53.9% female. The
techniques used in this survey were the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children (STAIC, Spielberger, 2001) as well
as an Emotional Intelligence questionnaire, built for its use. The results reflect that the predictors of Anxiety are Age and
Gender. For Emotional Intelligence, there are three predictors, such as Age, Culture and Gender. No relationship was
found between Anxiety and Emotional Intelligence, since none acts as a predictor of the other. The only exceptions are
two Anxiety factors: Problems and difficulties and Fear, which act as predictors of both EI and all its factors
Adsorption of 4,4′-Dithiodipyridine Axially Coordinated to Iron(II) Phthalocyanine on Au(111) as a New Strategy for Oxygen Reduction Electrocatalysis
The coordination of PySSPy to FePc was monitored by UV/Vis spectroscopy while the adsobed FePc, anchored by PyS−Au(111), was examined by in situ STM in 0.1 M HClO4 and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Rotating-disc-electrode (RDE) and linear-sweep-voltammetry (LSV) studies on the resulting FePc-modified Au(111) electrodes in an oxygen-saturated 0.1 M NaOH electrolyte exhibit excellent electrocatalytic properties for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), with a smaller overpotential than that observed for Au(111) with FePc deposited by direct adsorption from a benzene solution.
AbstractThe addition of opioids to bupivacaine for spinal anesthesia has been shown to improve quality of anesthesia by the action of fentanyl, and extend postoperative analgesia by the effect of morphine. Side effects, particularly respiratory depression, have prevented their widespread use. Studies are not consistent regarding the incidence of respiratory depression due to the variety of definitions of this complication and the doses of opioids used. Low dose regimens currently used do not produce further respiratory depression than parenteral opioids. The high levels of progesterone, a potent respiratory stimulant, makes safe the use of neuroaxial opioids in scenarios such as obstetrical anesthesia or analgesia, hence their use should not be overlooked
