John Bristow’s Narcissistic Personality Disorder in Robert Galbraith’s The Cuckoo’s Calling

Abstract John Bristow’s Narcissistic Personality Disorder is the main focus of this study in Robert Galbraith’s The Cuckoo’s Calling. This study applies descriptive analysis method. The main data is taken from the novel written by Robert Galbraith entitled The Cuckoo’s Calling. This thesis is purposed to analyze what causes of John Bristow’s Narcissistic Personality Disorder and the depiction of John Bristow’s Narcissistic Personality Disorder that is already stated in the statement of the problems. The Narcissistic Personality Disorder can occur to individual if their Narcissism healthy development is disturbed by parents that cannot give their proper affection to their children. Theory of narcissism applies from Freud and Kohut for the cause how narcissism become a personality disorder. The theories and concept are well applied to reveal the statement of the problem. The analysis points out that how John Bristow’s early childhood narcissism development stage become unstable due to his mother that doesn’t give him the affection like she gaves to John’s two adoptive siblings and pictured the images of John Bristow’s Narcissistic Personality Disorder in the novel. John kills all his two adoptive siblings so he get to receive the affection from his mother. John acts and behaves with Narcissistic characteristic to get his desired goal. Overall the analysis will verifies and convinces the theory of Kohut on how parents role is important to prevent their children become an adult with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and also shows the example results when the parents are failed to do so from John Bristow’s actions and behaviours. Implementasi e-Commerce Berbasis Prestashop pada UD. Bumi Putera

UD. Bumi Putera merupakan sebuah pabrik yang melayani pembuatan dan penjualan inflatable (mainan tiup) seperti bola,palu,bentuk hewan,dan superhero dan masih banyak lagi. UD. Bumi Putera menggunakan media penyampaian informasi masih sederhana berupa penyebaran brosur dan letak perusahaan yang menjual produk inflatable tidak strategis sehingga dalam pemasarannya belum maksimal. Dengan masalah yang dihadapi oleh UD. Bumi Putera, maka dibutuhkan sebuah e-commerce sebagai sistem informasinya. Hal ini sangatlah penting karena dengan adanya e-commerce ini akan dapat membantu segala masalah dan kendala yang ada. Perancangan serta analisis sistem yang dilakukan dalam laporan ini menggunakan metode analisis UML (Unified Modeling Language) dengan menyertakan analisis Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram beserta Sequence Diagram. Serta dalam tahap pembuatan website e-commerce menggunakan perangkat lunak CMS (Content Management Software) dari Prestashop dengan versi 1.6.0.11 dengan aplikasi basis data menggunakan XAMPP versi 3.2.1. Dengan merancang dan membuat website e-commerce akan semakin memfasilitasi pelanggan dalam proses pembelian produk serta dapat meningkatkan pendapatan dan penjualan perusahaan

A Comprehensive Review of Possible Resistant Starch in Getuk: Its Formation, Health Effects, and Potential Applications as Prebiotics

This review aims to give a thorough understanding of how resistant starch is produced, how it affects health, and how it probably contains in traditional Indonesian snack called getuk. Resistant starch, a type of starch that resists digestion in the small intestine, has drawn a lot of attention. In order to learn more about resistant starch formation in getuk, this review includes a thorough study of the relevant databases, research articles, and scientific literature that is currently available. It explains the effects of various processing techniques, including cooking and cooling on the possible formation of resistant starch in the snack. The potential health implications of resistant starch consumption in getuk are also examined in this review. It has been discovered that resistant starch provides a number of advantages, such as improved glycemic management, prolonged satiety, gut microbiota modulation, increased mineral absorption, and a decreased risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and colorectal cancer. The primary cause of these effects is attributed to the fermentation of resistant starch by colonic bacteria, which results in the production of short-chain fatty acids and other bioactive substances. The review looks at Getuk’s potential uses as a resistant starch carrier in the creation of functional foods. The snack is a perfect candidate for adding extra bioactive substances such as fiber, and prebiotics to improve its nutritional profile and functional qualities because of its distinctive texture, flavor, and cultural importance. Overall, this review emphasizes the production of resistant starch during processing of getuk and indicates the potential health advantages of its ingestion. It offers insightful information about the importance of this traditional Indonesian snack as a carrier of resistant starch and its prospective uses in the creation of functional meals. To fully utilize getuk as a source of resistant starch in the production of functional foods, additional study is required to optimize processing methods, assess consumer acceptability, and explore novel formulations

MANAGEMEN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM KELUARGA KARIR (STUDI KASUS DI DESA TAMANAYU KECAMATAN PRONOJIWO)

This study discusses challenges and strategies in the management of Islamic religious education in families with career backgrounds in Tamanayu Village, Pronojiwo District. This study uses qualitative research methods to collect data in the form of words or descriptions. Data were obtained through interviews, field notes, photos, videos, personal documents, and other documents. The main findings of this study indicate that parents' busyness in their careers is the main factor hindering sufficient time to consistently provide religious education. Limited knowledge and understanding of parents about Islamic religious teachings is also an obstacle in teaching religious values to their children. The integration of religious values into a busy family routine is also a challenge. Some of the strategies and practices recommended in the management of Islamic religious education in career families include scheduling special time for religious education, utilizing technology as a tool, and involving children in religious activities in their environment. By implementing this strategy, Islamic religious values can be better integrated into the daily lives of career family children. This research is expected to provide effective solutions and recommendations for improving the management of Islamic religious education in families with career backgrounds. SERANGAN Spodoptera frugiperda J.E SMITH (LEPIDOPTERA: NOCTUIDAE) DAN PARASITOIDNYA DI KABUPATEN/KOTA BOGOR, INDONESIA: Attack of Spodoptera frugiperda J.E Smith (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) and Its Parasitoid in Parts of Bogor, Indonesia

Spodoptera frugiperda J.E Smith (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) merupakan hama asing invasif yang menyerang tanaman jagung di Indonesia sejak 2019. Daya jelajah yang luas dan kemampuan reproduksinya yang tinggi dapat mempercepat terjadinya penyebaran serta menaikkan tingkat serangan pada tanaman inangnya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai gejala serangan, insidensi serangan, populasi, intensitas serangan dan parasitoid utama yang berpotensi sebagai musuh alami untuk mengendalikannya. Enam Kecamatan di Kabupaten/ Kota Bogor dipilih sebagai target lokasi survei. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi langsung pada 30 tanaman contoh di beberapa kebun jagung dengan luasan minimal 0.25 Ha dan jarak minimal antar kebun 1 km. Sebanyak 30 ekor larva dan kelompok telur dikoleksi pada setiap kebun untuk mengetahui parasitoid yang muncul. Insidensi serangan S. frugiperda pada masing-masing wilayah berkisar antara 88,89 - 100%. Populasi larva S. frugiperda pada masing-masing wilayah bervariasi dengan rataan 7 - 21 ekor/kebun. Intensitas serangan yang ditimbulkan S. frugiperda berkisar antara 9,02 - 34,88%. Hasil identifikasi musuh alami menunjukkan bahwa parasitoid larva yang ditemukan adalah Euplectrus sp. (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) dan Microplitis sp. (Hymenoptera: Braconidae), sedangkan parasitoid telur yang ditemukan adalah Telenomus remus (Hymenoptera: Scelionidae). Dari hasil pemeliharaan larva dan telur, diperoleh tingkat parasitisasi larva berkisar 10 - 30% dan parasitisasi telur berkisar 42,98 - 70,99%. Kedua parasitoid berpotensi untuk dijadikan sebagai agen pengendalian hayati S. frugiperda

Pengaruh Minat Siswa Dalam Memilih Bidang Keahlian Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa Di SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh minat pemilihan peserta didik antara pilihan pertama dan pilihan kedua dalam pemilihan bidang keahlian terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI di SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya. Peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan menerapkan kecerdasan buatan Forward Chaining pada website sebagai media konversi dari minat siswa ke dalam bidang keahlian yang diminati siswa. Model metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan siswa kelas XI RPL, TKJ, dan MM SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya. Diambil sampel sebanyak 6 kelas siswa kelas XI RPL, TKJ, dan MM SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya. Media yang digunakan adalah sebuah website yang berisi kuesioner peminatan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat peserta didik pada pilihan pertama mempunyai pengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik

Sejarah Islam dan Politik di Afghanistan

Afghanistan is a country in Asia that has a long history. In the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Afghanistan experienced dark times. Their government was intervened by a foreign country. Moreover, Afghanistan was once controlled by the extremist group, namely the Taliban. The Taliban control Afghanistan and control most of Afghanistan, making Afghanistan a conflict-prone country. Even Afghanistan is ranked in the bottom two as a country that is prone to conflict. It was caused by various things. However, efforts to modernize Afghanistan have not stopped. The modernization process goes hand in hand with democratization. Even though there are still shortcomings in various sectors such as Human Rights, gender equality, press freedom, etc., Afghanistan is on the right path. This article discusses the history of Islam and politics in Afghanistan, including the journey in establishing a state, modernization efforts, and hopes for democratization in Afghanistan. This article uses a historical method and a political approach, so that it will be able to see historical and political events in Afghanistan from a political point of view. Taliban menguasai Afghanistan dan menguasai sebagian besar wilayah Afghanistan, sehingga membuat Afghanistan menjadi negara yang rawan konflik. Bahkan Afghanistan menduduki peringkat dua terbawah sebagai negara yang rentan akan konflik. Hal itu disebabkan oleh berbagai macam hal. Namun, usaha untuk modernisasi Afghanistan tidaklah berhenti. Proses modernisasi berjalan bersama dengan demokratisasi. Meskipun masih terdapat kekurangan di berbabagi sektor seperti Hak Asasi Manusia, kesetaraan gender, kebebasan pers, dan lain sebagainya, Afghanistan telah menuju jalan yang benar. Artikel ini membahas mengenai sejarah Islam dan politik di Afghanistan, meliputi perjalanan dalam mendirikan negara, usaha modernisasi, dan harapan demokratisasi di Afghanistan. A Study of Ellipsis in TOEFL Reading Passages in Baron’s TOEFL IBT 12th Edition 2008

AbstrakPenelitian ini menganalisis kalimat elipsis yang digunakan dalam bagian reading pada TOEFL di buku Baron's TOEFL iBT edisi ke-12 2008 dengan menggunakan pendekatan sintaksis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah: (1) untuk menggambarkan jenisjenis elipsis yang digunakan dalam bagian reading di TOEFL (2) untuk menjelaskan susunan kalimat elipsis dalam bagian reading di TOEFL. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah kalimat-kalimat ellipsis yang ada dalam buku tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 133 kalimat yang diambil sebagai data dan diklasifikasikan sesuai dengan 14 jenis elipsis yang dijelaskan oleh Swan (1996), secara keseluruhan ada 7 jenis ellipsis yang muncul.  Kata kunci: Ellipsis, Sintaksis, TOEFL iBT
