Mistä on hyvät à la carte tarjoilijat tehty?

Ammattitaitoisen henkilökunnan löytäminen on vaikeaa. Erityisesti suurien ikäluokkien jäädessä pois työelämästä tulee henkilökunnan löytämisestä entistä vaikeampaa. Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa mistä on hyvä à la carte tarjoilija tehty. Tutkimuksessa selvitetään millainen oli hänen koulutustaustansa, työhistoriansa, ammattitaitonsa, miten hänet on rekrytoitu yritykseen ja mistä hän sai motivaation tehdä työtä vaativissa olosuhteissa. Tutkimuksen teoreettisessa osuudessa syvennyttiin ammattitaidon, motivaation ja rekrytointiprosessin teoreettisen perustaan. Oli haastavaa hahmottaa miten ammattitaitoa voi mitata ja mistä ammattitaito rakentuu. Tämän vuoksi avasin opinnäytetyössäni ammattitaidon kvalifikaatioiden ja kompetenssin avulla. Rekrytointiprosessista käsittelin niin ulkoista kuin sisäistä rekrytointia. Toin myös esille minkälaisessa tilanteessa ammattitaitoinen työntekijä on tällä hetkellä. Tulevaisuuden tuomat haasteet ja motivaatio ovat myös oleellisia asioita opinnäytetyön kannalta. Tutkimuksen suoritin laadullisella tutkimustavalla. Haastattelut tein käyttäen eri teemoja ja nauhoitin ne. Avasin haastattelut litteroimalla ne kirjoitettuun muotoon. Analysointi tapahtui vertaamalla haastatteluissa ilmenneitä asioita teoriaan. Tutkimustulosten perusteella voidaan sanoa, että hyvät à la carte tarjoilijat on tehty etenkin vahvasta ammattitaidosta ja halusta palvella asiakkaita. Asiakkaiden rooli nousi eniten esille tutkimuksesta. Koulutuksella ja uravalinnoilla ei ollut niin suurta merkitystä tarjoilijan osaamiseenFinding a skilful staff is rather difficult nowadays. Especially now when the baby boom generation is getting retired the problem of finding skilful staff will grow even more. The aim of this thesis was to survey from which circumstances is a good à la carte waiter. The research focused on finding out about the waiter’s edu-cation, recent positions, professional skills, how is he recruited on the latest posi-tion and where did he get the motivation to work in the laborious field of hospital-ity. The theoretical part of the research went deeper on professional skills, motivation and recruiting process. It was challenging to perceive how to measure professional skills and from which part was is it build from. This is one of the reasons why I determined professional skills with qualifications and competence. Recruiting process was defined with internal and external recruiting. I also studied the recent situation of professional employee in hospitality industry. Motivation and chal-lenges of future were also relevant cases for the thesis The research was qualitative. I taped the interviews and used theme interview as a research method. After the interviews I transcribed them into written form. I ana-lyzed the transcriptions by comparing it into the theory. According to the results of the research the circumstances from where the good à la carte waiters are build is a strong professional skills and the will of serve cus-tomers. The role of customers for à la carte waiter came to be one of the most im-portant things about this research. Education and recent positions didn’t have so much impact on fine à la carte waiter

Trailblazers of science in the São Paulo territory: exploratory expeditions and the settlement of the São Paulo 'sertão' at the turn of the twentieth century

Founded in 1886, the São Paulo Geographic and Geological Commission took part in cartographic studies and surveys of the region's natural resources that were essential to the economic exploitation of these resources and to agricultural, industrial, and urban settlement. Science and technology played a decisive role in this process, where research institutions -especially those in applied research - acted as intermediaries between science and society. The Commission's work made it possible to set up a communication network, including river and rail, both during and after the surveys, as new frontiers were being opened and settled.Este artigo apresenta e discute a participação da Comissão Geográfica e Geológica de São Paulo, fundada em 1886, na cartografia e nos levantamentos de recursos naturais do território paulista a fim de viabilizar sua exploração econômica e ocupação agrícola, industrial e urbana. Coube à ciência e à técnica uma participação decisiva nesse processo, em que se confirma o papel mediador entre ciência e sociedade das instituições de pesquisa, particularmente a aplicada. A ação da Comissão viabilizou a montagem de uma rede de comunicação viária, seja fluvial ou ferroviária, tanto simultaneamente aos levantamentos quanto a posteriori, em decorrência da abertura de frentes territoriais de ocupação geográfica.76377

Algumas questões metodológicas relativas à história de instituições científicas

Este trabalho se propõe a discutir a metodologia geralmente adotada nas investigações sobre a história de instituições apresentando, através do estudo de caso de uma instituição de pesquisa, a Comissão Geográfica e Geológica de São Paulo (daqui por diante CGG), a alternativa metodológica que se procurou colocar em prática. De início, cabe esclarecer que a referida metodologia não pretendeu inovar em relação às fontes utilizadas, mas sim ao nível do tratamento analítico dado a elas, no intuito de contribuir ao aprimoramento da avaliação institucional

History and philosophy of geosciences: relevance for education and training

Este artigo aponta relações importantes entre a História, a Filosofia e a Educação em Geociências para a formação profissional de geocientistas e futuros professores. Parte de um breve levantamento das discussões acerca das relações entre os mencionados campos do conhecimento ao longo dos últimos 50 anos, salientando alguns papéis didáticos que a História e a Filosofia podem desempenhar. A seguir, usa um exemplo recente em Geologia para articular as reflexões de alguns trabalhos clássicos sobre as Ciências e as Geociências. Conclui reforçando a relevância das reflexões históricas e epistemológicas para aprimoramento da formação profissional e para a renovação de práticas educativas516371GeologiaThis article points out some important relations between the history and philosophy of sciences, and geosciences education to the professional formation of geoscientists and future teachers. After a brief survey of the discussions on the relations between the above mentioned fields all long the past 50 years, aiming at stressing some pedagogical roles that history, and philosophy of sciences may play, the text uses a recent geological example in order to put together conclusions advanced by some classical papers about sciences and geosciences. Qual ciência na educação não formal? Com a palavra as exposições e a divulgação na internet de museus e centros de ciências brasileiros

The paper presents conceptions of science identified in four non-formal education institutions, in a research already completed: Museu da Vida (RJ), Espaço Ciência (PE), Museu de Ciência e Tecnologia of PUCRS (RS) and Estação Ciência (SP). We analyzed their sites employing the methodology of content analysis, and their exhibitions, according to the following categories, defined a posteriori: Interactivity, Scientific Representation, and Display. The results indicated tendencies in the institutions’ websites and exhibitions. These conceptions were classified into the categories 'Traditional Rationalist', 'Traditional Empiricist' and 'Constructivist', to facilitate comparisons. The paper concludes those institutions have small differences and similarities and present diversified and non-stereotyped conceptions of science.Apresentam-se concepções de ciência identificadas em quatro instituições de Educação Não Formal, objeto de pesquisa já concluída: Museu da Vida (RJ), Espaço Ciência (PE), Museu de Ciência e Tecnologia da PUCRS (RS) e Estação Ciência (SP). Analisaram-se seus sites, com metodologia de análise de conteúdo, e suas exposições, com as seguintes categorias definidas a posteriori: Interatividade, Representação Científica e Display. Os resultados apontam tendências das concepções de ciência presentes nos sites e exposições das instituições. Classificaram-se essas concepções nas categorias ‘Tradicional racionalista’, ‘Tradicional empirista’ e ‘Construtivista’, visando facilitar comparações. Conclui-se que as instituições possuem diferenças e semelhanças pontuais, apresentam concepções de ciência variadas e não estereotipadas
