Analysis of Female Specific Leadership Style in Organizations Dealing with Information Technology Development

Cílem diplomové práce „Analýza ženských specifik stylu vedení v organizaci zabývající se vývojem informačních technologií“ staví na provedení analýzy pracovních stylů vedoucích pracovníků a pracovnic s ohledem definování ženských specifik vedení ve srovnání s muži. Teoretická část práce přináší vymezení základních pojmů souvisejících s uvedeným tématem, zvláště pak genderu a s ním souvisejícím stereotypům. Odpovídající pozornost je věnována současnému stavu v managementu z pohledu žen. Empirická část dokumentuje průběh kvantitativního výzkumného šetření provedeného u dané společnosti, kdy byl zkoumán styl vedení v souladu se stanovenými hypotézami. Souhrn zjištěných poznatků je v závěru diskutován v souvislosti svého potenciálního přínosu pro firemní praxi v oboru řízení a kultivace lidských zdrojů.The aim of the diploma thesis „Analysis of Female Specific Leadership Style in Organizations Dealing with Information Technology Development“ is based on an analysis of working styles of man and woman lead with regard to defining the specifics of women's leadership in comparison to men. The theoretical part provides basic terms related to this topic, especially the gender, and the related stereotypes. Adequate attention is paid to the current situation in management from the women’s perspective. Empirical part documents the course of quantitative research performed in the company, when the style of leadership has been studied in accordance with the stated hypotheses. At the end the summary of the findings is discussed in the context of their potential contribution to the company's experience in the field of management and cultivation of human resources.

Compensation Strategies in Learning Czech as Foreign Language: Comparasion of Spoken and Written Communiques

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá kompenzačními strategiemi ve výuce češtiny jako cizího jazyka a jejich konkrétními realizacemi v mluvených a psaných komunikátech. Teoretická část vychází z aktuální lingvodidaktické koncepce v cizojazyčné výuce, kterou je komunikační metoda a otázka komunikační kompetence jinojazyčných mluvčích. V souvislosti s tím se zabývá problematikou komunikačních strategií a předkládá nejvýznamnější teoretická pojetí a klasifikace komunikačních a kompenzačních strategií zahraničních badatelů. Dále uvádí vymezení kompenzačních strategií pro češtinu jako cizí jazyk podle Společného evropského rámce pro jazyky, který je v současné době závazným dokumentem pro definování jazykových dovedností na jednotlivých jazykových úrovních. Na teoretickou část navazuje empirická část, jež na základě teoreticky stanovené klasifikace kompenzačních strategií pro účely výzkumu v rámci této diplomové práce analyzuje konkrétní mluvené a psané produkce jinojazyčných mluvčích. Data použitá pro analýzu byla v případě mluvených komunikátů pořízena z audionahrávek a přepisů vyučovacích hodin v různých typech jazykových kurzů a v případě psaných komunikátů byly použity texty z veřejně přístupného korpusu MERLIN. Na základě příkladů získaných ze zkoumaného materiálu byla provedena analýza způsobů realizace...This thesis deals with compensation strategies in learning Czech as a foreign language and concrete realisations of these strategies in spoken and written communiques. The theoretical part is based on the current linguistic-didactic approach to learning foreign languages, which includes the communicative method and the issue of communicative competence of non-native speakers. In connection with these issues, we also deal with the area of communication strategies and present the most important theoretical concepts and classifications of communication and compensation strategies by foreign researchers. We also introduce the definition of compensation strategies in Czech for foreigners within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which is presently a binding document for defining language competences at particular language levels. The theoretical part is followed by the empirical part which analyses concrete spoken and written productions of non-native speakers on the basis of theoretically established classification of compensation strategies designed for the purpose of research in this thesis. Příspěvek pojednává o kvalitativním šetření zaměřeném na popis intenzity akutní pooperační bolesti dospělých hospitalizovaných pacientů a jejich spokojenosti s tišením jejich bolesti. Dále se zabývá vztahem mezi těmito dvěma proměnnými. Spokojenost klesá s intenzitou APB nenáhodně. Korelace však není silná a není ani patrné, zda je intenzita bolesti jediným faktorem, který spokojenost ovlivňuje

Muckle-Wells Syndrome Across Four Generations in One Czech Family: Natural Course of the Disease

Background: Muckle-Wells syndrome (MWS) represents a moderate phenotype of cryopyrinopathies. Sensorineural hearing loss and AA amyloidosis belong to the most severe manifestations of uncontrolled disease. Simultaneous discovery of MWS in four generations of one large kindred has enabled us to document natural evolution of untreated disease and their response to targeted therapy.Methods: A retrospective case study, clinical assessment at the time of diagnosis and 2-year prospective follow-up using standardized disease assessments were combined.Results: Collaborative effort of primary care physicians and pediatric and adult specialists led to identification of 11 individuals with MWS within one family. Presence of p.Ala441Val mutation was confirmed. The mildest phenotype of young children suffering with recurrent rash surprised by normal blood tests and absence of fevers. Young adults all presented with fevers, rash, conjunctivitis, and arthralgia/arthritis with raised inflammatory markers. Two patients aged over 50 years suffered with hearing loss and AA amyloidosis. IL-1 blockade induced disease remission in all individuals while hearing mildly improved or remained stable in affected patients as did renal function in one surviving individual with amyloidosis.Conclusions: We have shown that severity of MWS symptoms gradually increased with age toward distinct generation-specific phenotypes. A uniform trajectory of disease evolution has encouraged us to postpone institution of IL-1 blockade in affected oligosymptomatic children. Quality of life and Lifestle in Czech children in town and village

Souhrn Kvalita života je multidimenzionální koncept, který se stal předmětem zkoumání v mnoha vědních oborech. Důležitou pozici si získal především v medicíně, sociologii a v psychologii. Cílem práce bylo sledovat specifické ukazatele kvality života (KŽ) a životního stylu u reprezentativního vzorku českých dětí v rámci mezinárodní studie Světové zdravotnické organizace (WHO) The Health Behaviour in School Aged Children: A WHO Cross National Study (HBSC), analyzovat KŽ českých dětí podle věku, pohlaví a místa bydliště a posoudit ji ve vztahu k dalším významným faktorům souvisejícím s životním stylem (formální struktura rodiny, množství společně stráveného volného času v rodině, adaptace na školu, subjektivně vnímaná míra nároků na školní výkon, sociální vztahy, pití alkoholu a kouření tabáku). Data byla získána prostřednictvím dotazníku na 86 náhodně vybraných základních školách a víceletých gymnáziích ČR. Metodika výzkumu vycházela z doporučení WHO. Cílovou populací pro výzkum byl reprezentativní vzorek českých dětí ve věku 11, 13 a 15 let, celkem 4782 dětí. It has gained an important position especially in medicine, sociology, and psychology. The aim of the study was to monitor specific indicators of quality of life (QoL) and lifestyle in a representative sample of Czech children within an international study of the World Health organization (WHO), The Health Behaviour in School Aged Children: A WHO Cross National Study (HBSC), to analyze QoL in Czech children according to age, gender, and place of residence, and to evaluate it as it relates to other important factors associated with lifestyle (formal structure of the family, the amount of time spent together in the family, adaptation to school, subjectively perceived degree of demands for achievement in the school, social relationships, alcohol and tobacco consumption). The data were obtained using a questionnaire in 86 randomly selected elementary schools and multiannual secondary schools. The study methods emanated from the WHO recommendations. This thesis is primarily focused on the analysis and interpretation of chosen authors of czech poetry at the turn of the 10. and 20. years of the 20. century. To be specificic, these authors are Jiří Wolker, Zdeněk Kalista, Antonín Matěj Píša, Svatopluk Kadlec a František Němec, who were entering the literary and artistic context in connection with the coming of early post-war avant-garde. The period cultural and social situation including a brief characteristic of the poetics of this tendency in poetry and also the literary context is described in the introduction chapter. The main part of the thesis is given to the comprehensive analysis of the representative books of poetry concerned, whereas the motivic analyse is accented. The last part is composed of the respect to the conterporary critical reception of literary works concemed

The development of marriage rate, divorce rate and extra-marital fertility in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of marriage rate and divorce rate and extra-marital fertility during the period 1990 - 2010. The work is drawn into four chapters, the first three chapters are devoted to the development of the above-mentioned three demographic events. There is a theoretical example of the demographic terms at the beginning of each chapter which refers to the specific chapter. Following part is dedicated to demographic events and causes which leads to the family behavior's changes. The fourth and final chapter is devoted to the support of families with children. The forms of aid which the state contributes to a better life for families are defined.
